Another Sneak Peek

Good morning my crafty friends! Today is the day that I get to share my Festive Die line with you on Create and Craft TV.  I have been so excited about it!  I just love the way these dies and matching stamps have turned out and can't wait to show you all the samples that I have made with them! Today's card uses some of the dies from my first release incorporated with the Christmas dies and I think it looks fab!  I started by cutting an aperture using the Calabria die set in some dusty rose card from my stash.  I used the new Lattice Snowflake embossing folder on the background to give it some pretty texture.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it so I can recess my focal element.  I covered a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet and ran it through the Grand Calibur.  This will easily cut through the sticky sheet's backing paper.  In some spots it will cut completely through the card as well so those areas need to be taped from the back so they stay in the die cut when it is removed.  I lifted off all of the fall away areas on the backing paper and coated it with Diamond Sprinkles and burnished it into the sticky sheet.  Next I lifted off the die outline shape that was left in the backing paper revealing another sticky layer.  I coated it with clear micro beads (my high-low technique).  You are left with a pretty white on white look but with different heights and textures.  I cut the Calabria die out of dusty rose and used the Decorative Frames die set to cut out the inside area too.  I glued the die back into the recess of the aperture and then added my centre white on white piece in the middle of it.   Using the Elegant Poinsettia matching stamps, I stamped them on to vellum and heat embossed them in white.  I cut out several of these to make a couple of flowers and assembled them with the embossing on the underside of the vellum for a softer look.  I added the flowers to the corner of my aperture with a sentiment flag, some Bakers Twine and two matching stick pins that I made.  The card was then finished with a white pierced layer, a rose mat and a final white mat.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  I hope you will tune in for today's shows at 9am, 12 noon and 6pm on Create and Craft TV or on Sunday at 11am, 2pm and 7pm.

The winner of this week's Wednesday Card Giveaway is:

Morning Sue, Pam and all Wilsonettes, look quite miserable outside weather wise today but your card certainly brightens up my day, I love it, when you look at the close up pictures you can see how crisp and sharp the embossing is, but also you go through every element of how to make the card, your an inspiration, I also love the colour so warming, thank you so much.

Pam hope you are feeling a bit better today, and how is Robbie doing.

Congratulations to the blog candy winners, how lucky you are, you sure will enjoy your prize.

GM Sue - love this one - that EF is wow - whilst it is snowflake it looks on screen as if it could also pass as a flower - how clever. I have already ordered the EFs as I cant watch live today but will be recording your first 2 shows and watching them on my return home today - but will watch your 1st 2 shows live tomorrow whilst ironing most probably.

I noticed in Thursdays video that you have removed the finger guard on your Xcut paper trimmer - just wondering why?... perhaps you could let us all know sometime when you have a spare min - ha!

Anyway, enjoy the shows - cant wait to see your wonderful demos - and congrats to the candy winner. Happy weekend all

Good morning Sue and everyone. LOVE this card, non traditional colours are so my "thing"! Sky box is set for all your shows but I'm hoping that I can also watch live. Morning Sue, and hi to my lovely Wilsonettes. Goodness know's what time you will have to catch up with reading your blog posts today Sue as you have a MEGA busy weekend ahead, do those dainty feet ever touch the ground ? Did post on blog candy post yesterday, but congrats again to the winner and also to the card giveaway winner.
Im so happy to read baby Leo is making wonderful progress, and a new Princess to join the family, but another prem sweetheart, boy they worry you at birth and never stop worrying you ! What treasure's though.
Pam... Anytime hon : )

Cant wait to actually sit and watch your show's the weekend as Im usually at the monthly Sunday market when you show's are scheduled, so Im chuffed, of course I shall add the weekend shows to all my other recorded shows : ) as expecting a visit from our newly weds today after their return from Greece.
Today's card is so lovely Sue, that ef is a must which cant wait to be put on my b.day wish list as its so close to C that I will need to order this from my little craft heaven shop, I collected my blush card last week and NOT disapointed, its the prettiest shade of pink Ive ever had, and oh the aqua card, well all I can say is, that I shall have it in my card stash for ever as both are way to lovely to use !!
I hope you enjoy your weekend Sue as much as we will enjoy watching you. I shall be listening out for my special dear friends on the emails this weekend (you know who you are my special caring lovelies)
To my friends that struggle each day, get as comfortable as you can and enjoy your craft weekend with our special friend. Pam, remember to follow that prescription over the weekend hon.
To all my other special Wilsonettes, do what you have to do to ease the pain, I do !! Thinking of you.
Big baskets of gentle hugs.
Love you.

morning Sue
Today's gift is such a very gentle feel. I love the new eboss folder and because it's not too bold I think it could be used all year round. Although I don't think rose is a Chris.colour I do think this time it works wonderfully with your beautiful dies.

Norah - please remember one day at a time and little steps.
Brenda - thank you for your note of calling me 'a lady'. My family would never believe this but it felt lovely.

Still in recovery mode after my trip Thursday but got to find some energy for today as it's my Great Grandson's first birthday and I will be surrounded by little ones this afternoon - that includes my daughters/grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Oh I do feel age creeping upon me sometimes. Perhaps a nice glass of wine this evening might help.

Oh must tell you all I floor tested my ebosser yesterday morning! I have to report that it passed its test with flying colours. Far better than my crafting table and one or two other bits and pieces. Now need a new table!

Hope everyone is feeling somewhat better this morning and having a lovely week-end. Take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Lovely card.

I am taping the shows and have just watched the first show. It's lovely to be able to see the cards in real life and to listen to you explain the reasoning behind the dies and the different ways you can use them.

My wish list is growing as I have loads of favourites.

Take care

Hello Sue
I love today's card. The colour, dies and background all go so well together.
I really enjoyed watching your show and I will soon be watching the next.
Welcome home and it is great to see you back on our screens again!
I wish I could go to AP but it is too far for me at the moment, however I am going to the Home Made show at Hampton Court with a friend next week which I am looking forward to. I wish you were coming to that one, too!

Hi Sue,
Love today's card, particularly the vellum poinsettia . Just lovely!
Watched the first show! It was great and you look really well. Hope you not too tired by the end of the weekend!
I had to have the bauble stamps - but I confessed that yesterday! Also the Holly EF, tried to get the swirly one but sold out. Will try elsewhere. Also got the mica shimmery powders! They look gorgeous! Your samples are truly lovely. What an amazing amount of work! What inspiration even from just one show. Loved the angel one with the pink rose . Could go on - but !
Norah - how are you this morning? Been thinking of you . Hope you might manage to even record Sue's shows. Sending love and hugs to you and Rory - one day at a time! xx
Steph - don't worry about Leonie's gaffe! We know you - you are not at all greedy - a generous , kind lady. Was pleased to hear your name read out and sure Sue was too. Hope you having a good day . Sending hugs.
Must go and get into position for Show 2 as I won't be able to watch the 6pm one Live.
Love to all friends on the blog, particularly those who are suffering. X
Congratulations to all the winners, yesterday and today.
Love Myra

Helloooooo Sue and the Wilsonettes! This is so so pretty Sue. What a great colour to use for a Christmas card. I love the Calabria die. The bits that come away from it too are fantastic to use and put together. I have tons to play with in different colours! Love the EF, the pins and the beautiful velum poinsettias. Wow! Just gorgeous! "Thank you Sue". I'll have to catch up on the first show as had a bit of late, early morning coming in from a cancer charity do. I donated 10 cards that I did "Sue Wilson" style and the young girl who won them in the raffle was so so chuffed. She came over, kissed me on the cheek and said how beautiful they were and that members of her family would be receiving them. A big big "thank you" to you Sue because if it wasn't for the inspiration that you give us all we would never be able to do these things. They raised nearly £900 which was fantastic! xxx Sending love and hugs to you Sue and your family xx Lancs Steph, I'm sure no-one thought anything badly of how your email was read out. Good luck to everyone who does go in the cup of chance xx Wonderful news Meg on baby Leo and congratulations to you too on baby Skylar. What a beautiful name! Have a great day Janet on your grandsons 1st birthday. Lovely that all the family will be there too. Precious times xx Wheelybad, that's a great idea taking the tape recorder/radio into your craft room. It's surprising and wonderful too, that although we are all individuals, music of whatever theme that we like, just lifts the soul and gets those feet tapping! Have a mad moment or two....AND divulge in the chocolate! xx Sending love and hugs to you Norah (((xx))), Lynne, Yorkielass, Lynda, Lyndsey, Tandy and to all our Wilsonettes who need a love and hug today. Ps Sue, you are looking stunning! xx Love Karen xx

Steph, please don't worry about Leonie's gaffe. On an earlier show she read the name out and then said it was someone else so the guest demonstrator said she would send a card to both of them. No one thinks you are greedy at all, anyone can email in for each and every show. Please don't give up xx

Hi Sue,
Second show was great too - but it seemed short to me. I loved seeing more of your lovely cards - love what you did with the Christmas tree outline recessed in blue. Hope you know what I mean?! so many lovely cards.
Pam - great news about Robbie. He has come so far. He is quite a guy! Hope the good news helps you a little too.

Oh, I love that snowflake embossing and the die you used to cut the aperture with. The stamped vellum flowers are beautiful and I love the dusty rose color of the card stock. I pinned http://www.pinterest.com/pin/415386765604959357/

Whenever I pin, I click on the Facebook share button so all my crafty FB friends can see the beautiful card. The other day, one of my friends accused me of getting them into trouble by showing her more beautiful products she is going to have to acquire, lol.

Absolutely gorgeous Sue.

I did mail into the show but earlier as I had to go to urgent cate at our local hospital. Not sure it would be read out. Will check out the shows later.

Hi Sue, first of all I want to thank you again for picking me as the grand first prize winner, I'm still in a state of shock!! I've emailed you with my address :)

This card is so beautiful I don't know where to start. I have to say the heat embossed vellum flowers are just so elegant. I've never used vellum with embossing powder but I think that's going to change after seeing how great they look. The white on white is just so classic and the hat pins really finish it off a treat. As always, thanks for sharing with us. x

This is a little beauty. Very unusual colours for a festive card, but why not? I shall enjoy your (recorded) shows at my leisure happy in the knowledge that I've already bought the dies I wanted from your festive collection. They are fabulous and I'm enjoying experimenting with them. No doubt I'll get loads more ideas from you demos.

Hi Sue, beautiful card. Unfortunately I missed todays shows as I had to take my son to a special flute event to see if they could break the world record for the most flutes being played in one place. Hopefully they have done it, but they have to wait to get official conformation. I put the computer on when I came home and have just seen that I have won a prize in the blog candy draw. My day can't get much better. Many thanks Sue and I hope to see the shows tomorrow.

Hi Sue, beautiful card even if it is an unusual colour choice for Christmas (but then you know I'm a bit of a traditionalist lol) and I love the idea of using the reverse of the embossed poinsettias.

Have just caught up with all your shows - so many samples! Enjoyed them all and now the embossing folders and some stamps are on my wish list.

Congratulations to Karen on being the Wednesday winner.

Norah - glad you managed a quick visit and I hope you have been able to watch some of Sue's shows - guaranteed to lift your spirits.

Hi Sue. I love today's Christmas card. It is really beautiful !! I am not sure about the Rose coloured card ( I prefer more traditional Christmas colours.) but I love everything else. I love all of your new Christmas Embossing Folders. The Calabria Die is beautiful. Your vellum Poinsettia dies looks great. I love your stick pins to. A really beautiful card Sue. Thank you for sharing.
I watched and recorded all your shows today Sue. You look great !! I thought your shows and demos were wonderful and your card samples were amazing !! I can honestly say I loved all the cards that I saw.
You are so clever.
At the moment I can't afford to buy anything but my Mum and Dad did buy me the Holly Swirls Background Embossing Folder as a Birthday present but I have to wait for it until October. What a nightmare !! I just don't know how I am going to do that !!
I had already bought your Christmas Angel die set and your large dotty bow dies on pay day. Then hubby went and bought me the itty bitty classic bow die set and the snowflake bow stamps to match my large classic bow dies as a surprise so I am very lucky this month.
Thank you for your wonderful shows today. I loved them all. You are so clever Sue. I am looking forward to tomorrow's shows ( or should I say today's shows now !! )
I will be watching and recording everything again so I am having a lovely weekend.
Sending you lots of love and hugs today Sue from Tres x x x

Congratulations to Karen Knight for winning Wednesdays beautiful card x x x
