You Make Me Happy

Hello crafters!  Chestnut brown and Custard card for today's card offering. I stamped the Justrite Sunflower Vintage Labels Five using a coffee Archival ink pad on to custard coloured card.  I used a Mustard Seed Distress marker to colour the image and a Brushed Corduroy marker around the edge.  I covered the entire piece with a sticky self adhesive sheet and added a layer of Diamond Sprinkles to it after peeling off the backing paper.  I matted it with a thin white mat.  Using Chestnut brown card, I cut an Majestic Labels 25 using the outer edge and raising it with mounting foam and then cutting the inner piece and recessing it around the inside edge to frame the sunflower stamped image.  I tied a messy bow out of white seam binding, added a natural jute twine bow, then topped it with an antique gold button.  I stamped a tag with the sentiment, cut it out with Vintage Labels Five die and tucked the end under the button.  The card was finished with a double custard mat with a pierced inner layer.  Finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8 1/4" in size.

The winner of this weeks Wednesday card giveaway is:

Jackie Meechan!!!

Congratulations!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now, Sue x

Thank you for advice to protect now very sore hands, what doesn't hurt at the moment.
I know the feeling about the work on the cards not being appreciated, my elder daughter is a "hmm nice" type of person but that is actually a compliment from her .
To everyone going to see Sue today, have a fabulous day, lucky ladies.

Hi Sue, you've done it once more, I really Love The Colour Combination you have chosen, and also adding your Awesome Iced Snow you bring us so many Awesome Products, it's very difficult to say which we prefer, I'm loving The JustRite Stamps your using at present as I'm a Huge fan of there's, the one you did yesterday, I went on the search and I found it and purchased it, you just have to be very careful where you order from, mentioning no names one company was going to charge £15:99 plus there postage and packaging on top of that, but I have another company that I checked out they get there stock through Creative Expressions the same Stamp was £10:99 and No Postage and Packaging, I always check out Creative Expressions and check which Supliers they deal with. I Love The Sunflower I've got that one and it Stamps Beautifully, while I was Ordering the one from yesterday The JusRite Stamp, I noticed that Creative Expression Christmas Stamps are out, so I got them also, there great as they come as One Stamp but quite easily you can cut into two and use Sentiment else where, they are great and Fabulous Price Point also. I hope you had a Tremendous day Crafting with all those extremely lucky ladies, I bet they had a ball! and gained so much from you I so wish I could be there.
Sue Thanks for everything you bring, Thanks for Sharing, for the Awesome Tips and Techniques, Sue Thank You for the Daily Inspiration you give to me, Thanks for This Awesome Blog, But Most Of All Thank You For Being You the extremely kind pleasent person.

Nice card - suited the weather here, which started as heavy rain and is finishing as glorious sunshine.

Good evening Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
I think this is the perfect backdrop for a sunflower card and the sprinkles just add that wee bit more texture and life to it. I must admit that i actually like the colour of the brown card against the custard as a lovely contrast. Thank you Sue for another WOW that knock all other competitors into a hat.
Lynda and Myra P, ladies you must have put up with a lot to survive 45 years of marriage, here's to your next fabulous achievement. Mines is going to be lucky to reach 25years if he keeps going. Myra, i hope you meet some great new friends from your holiday up to my shores. IF someone nobs and says good morning just nob back and reply as we don't bite but we do pass on a smile or two and a kindly word to anyone willing to pass by. It is amazing how a simply wee sentence or word can bring so much pleasure to someone else, let us do that to you and your husband.
Maria, you're in fine company as my brain had had nothing to do with my body for years. I am sure that is why it goes MIA on a regular basis. It was gone for weeks the last time that i sent out for the mountain rescue to try and find it, but they said they couldn't use the much needed man power because of all the loonies up in these parts that don't use their brain and go up the hills ill prepared.
Tandy, i think they are all a bunch of vampires in disguise just trying to top themselves up at each opportunity.
Susan(Paper Junkie) well done in finding the right one at last. I will now buy a card from out of the shop as i get too disheartened at Teenys attitude towards my handmade efforts. She is going to get the 50p ones or the 5 for a £1 from the card factory in future and i think you should go to that vast expense as well with your little madam. I showed the boys and they were totally different entirely. Rory, well he is just so different from Kirsten, and Ryan(the fiance and my big son) comes in and says how "braw they look. Thanks Norah, that's really nice of you" is what he came away with, so it has restored my faith in some human beings. Me i have got letters, cards, even a post it note from a wee lass from hubby's work that i made a pram suit for. She run out and got a box of chocolates and stuck this post it on to it as she was so excited that she had got a knitted baby set for her baby boy and she brought him out of the hospital in it. I have never known anyone to get as excited as the wee lass did over jacket, trousers, mittens, bootees, and helmet that had a super large pompom on the top. I keep getting told to get rid of all the rubbish, but these are special just because someone wrote me a letter in a text or mobile phone world. There is nothing like getting a letter or a lovely card with beautiful words in it.
Well done Jackie on winning a mini masterpiece from Sue, there is not a feeling like it believe me.
What a glorious day we have had up here is Central belt after yesterdays it couldn't get any worse kind of weather day. My hills are beaming back at me, but there again it could be to welcome Myra and her hubby up to see Bonnie Scotland. My hills have got their sun protection on today with the clouds floating over the top protecting them from the most harmful rays.
Sending gentle hugs to our most fragile friends that need that wee boost, to Gail and your brother, Pam and young Robbie, Lynda who is deciding that she could take up being a goalie for any of the world cup teams after seeing their antics yesterday. Hope you all have had a lovely day, take care everyone,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Hi Sue,
Wow, what an unexpected card! Brown is not a colour I use much, especially for a feminine design, but this one just works! Perhaps it's the delicacy of the die cut that makes the brown seem right. Well, whatever it is, I have to use more brown, and not just for the guys.
