Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello everyone!  Time again for another Wednesday card giveaway.  For this one, I stamped a piece of raspberry card with the Rose Bouquet stamp by Justrite.  I used a black archival and stamped it all over the background, trying not to overlap but give it a nice even coverage.  I used my Galicia die to cut an aperture in the top portion of the card.  I used the die again to cut another out of black card.  I added mounting foam to the back of the stamped background and seated on a piece of white card.  I recessed the black Galicia die cut into the aperture and glued it in place.  I tied a piece of black silky crush ribbon around the bottom of the card and tied a double bow and added it to the centre of the card.  I finished the centre of the bow with a black crystal sparkler and adorned it with two matching stick pins.  I stamped the Rose bouquet Labels three stamp on to white card with a black archival ink pad.  I coloured the roses with distress markers and covered the entire piece with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I cut it out and peeled the backing off and coated it with Diamond Snow.  I mounted it with foam in the centre of my aperture.  The card was finished with a white pierced mat layer, then thin raspberry and black mats with a final white mat.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8" in size.  If you would like to be included in the drawing to win this one, just leave me a comment.  The winners name will be posted on Saturday's post.  All for now, Sue x

morning Sue
How can you describe today's gift as a 'Wednesday Give Away'. It really ought to be 'Today's Auction' as it's really too beautiful for a give away.
It's so Victorian in appearance and I can just see it adorning a beautiful Victorian Parlour wall. I know I cannot do it justice and give it the surrounding it really needs but I would certainly do my best and display it on my humble wall.

Pam - I know that you're excited for Friday when your Brother arrives with news of Robbie and everyone over the pond but please take care and do not do too much this week and undo all the good you and your Drs have done.

Steph - Hoping all is OK on the Birmingham front and that Mr L's Mum is getting better. Fingers are also crossed for an early apptmnt for you.

Norah - Where are you? Hope all is well with you and yours. Missing you.

Well we are certainly back into Autumn here. This is the third day we have arisen to rain/wind and very low temps. Summer has really been turned around this year. Ah well it's another Cardy/long trouser day for me and crafting indoors. At least all the jobs outside cannot be done so crafting/crafting/crafting YIPEEEEEE.

Hope all are feeling a little better today. Take care and see you tomorrow.

I think all Creative Expressions card stock is beautiful .

Happy Birthday Micky French (hope you've had lots of crafty goodies)

What a belter ! Todays card screams 'LOOK AT ME' and I'd just love to please, I'd love to sit and stroke it too if I maybe so lucky !
What a fabulous colour that raspberry card is, it shows up the background stamp perfectly. Good luck everyone.
Thank you so much to those really lovely friends here that posted messages today re my MIL and missed spinal injection, what lovely friends you really are, thank you. Still no idea what is going on with her health, and since phones are now allowed on wards, you no longer have to rely on nursing staff to give you snippets of info, so Mr L can talk to her directly and hopefully find out more, as she hadn't seen a doctor when he spoke to her yesterday ! As for me, Im more than greatful for my rice heat bag (thanks to Margaret) and meds to keep me upright ! I really hope I dont have to wait too long for another appointment, but we all know what waiting time is like - right ??!
Well, I was sad to be told my dear little craft shop may be going up for sale ! She cant compete with internet prices, its SO sad that our little craft shops are being pushed out of business. So if you have one, use it or lose it thats what I say !
That's my lot for today. Im hoping you are happy and well Sue.
To my dearest of friends that struggle daily but keep smiling through, you are an inspiration.
To Clair - Birdies or Bogies - have a good game of golf today : ) soften those knees and ..... Swing lol

Welcome back Norah, so sorry you had a fall, please take care.
Meg, sending lots of prayers and good wishes for the baby and his worried parents and grandparents. They are such resilient little fighters, but you must be so anxious.
Happy birthday Mickey, have a lovely day.
Pat, the cast is pink, quite a shocking pink, can't miss it and hard to coordinate with my daily clothes.
Steph, I can understand how upset you will be with your little craft shop. I am an internet shopper, mainly due to not having a local craft shop, I used to spend hours just mooching when it was there, before making my selection.
Hugs all round x

Good Afternoon Sue and all the Wilsonettes

Sue, many thanks for my prize which arrived today. Please pass on my thanks to everyone at Creative Expressions too. This sentiment set had been on my neeed list so I'm absolutely over the moon xxx

I did love yesterday's cards. Perfect for kiddies, teens and young families I thought. I really, really love todays card though. I have a friend who this would be perfect for. Her birthday is I November and the stamps are on next months shopping list so I shall try do something similar for her.

Monday's excitement pretty much finished me for yesterday, so I'm catching up. Steph, I hope mum in law is ok and that the hospital will fit you back in without much fuss. Norah, I'm sorry you had a fall. I hope there's no damage done. Take care of yourself. Meg, thinking of all your family and baby xxx Hugs for you all and Special hugs for Sandra and her girls.

I have the 5 temp heat mat too. It's the first one I haven't killed in 3 months and brought it as it had a long guarantee. I'm thinking of getting a second so I can have one on my back and one on my neck. There's no room in my kitchen for a microwave so I can't use wheat bags. Bit of an issue using it in this heat though but I am rarely without it.

Have to be brief as really not feeling too sharp and need my energy for a shower, which I'm sure will make me feel much better and cooler. Going to brace my back up later and go to the shops with my PA and the dog. There's a pub nearby so we'll stop for a diet coke and sit in the garden where Billy will forage for dropped food (Mr WheelyBad having some post birthday respite and has gone fishing for 24 hours) Big hugs for Pam and Robbie, Janet Ecco, Maria,Yorkielass June, Alison 'Alimecca', Lynda, Myra, Lindsay, TOB, Brenda... & anyone I forgot. I wish Wilsonettes everywhere a happy day and special thought for those in pain, ill or recovering. Special hug for Sue, who I hope is having rests now and again and, by the way, the Christmas dies look amazing!!!!! Xxxx

Hi Sue, I love the raspberry card and the stamping on it. I think it was Karen Knight that said it felt a bit racey and I agree. My first thought on seeing it was 'very boudoir-ish'. I'm coming round to using more black but I don't think I'd go this far just yet :-).
