Another Sneak Peek

Good Sunday morning all!  Here is another card from today's shows.  This one is featuring the Sculpted Leaves background in it's simplest form, gold embossed on lavender card.  It is just such an elegant stamp that it doesn't need much more!  I cut two Scalloped Borders out of soft gold card for the edges to give it a soft filigree look.  For the focal element, I used the soft gold card again and cut a Tranquil Moments die.  I stamped my sentiment from the Rose Bouquet set and embossed it in gold on lavender card.  I used the smaller die within the Divine Eloquence set to cut it out and inked through it with Shaded Lilac distress ink before removing it.  Using my Classic Rose die, I made two different sized roses out of lavender card and "sugared" them with Iced Snow.  I mounted them to the side of the sentiment with some gold cording.  I finished the card with some matting and layering with the gold and lavender card and added in a pierced edge on my inside mat layer.  The finished size is 6 1/4" x 8" in size.

Hello Sue, stunning card, always beautiful. Looking forward to seeing you with Julia today, I have already ordered my folders. Congrats to lucky winners Sam, Mrs B, Jean and all others.
Meg, we will always be here for you. I have had more than my fair share of support from this wonderful community and it never runs out. They truly are Wonderful Wilsonettes (there you go Steph). Ita and Tina, hope you are feeling a little better each day.
The hospital allowed my brother to take Robbie's dog Oscar (a Welsh Corgi) in to see him yesterday, both were ecstatic to be reunited for a while and the whole family went for a picnic in the park. Best therapy Robbie could have had.
Love & hugs to all my Wonderful Wilsonettes.

morning Sue
Divine Eloquence are just truly the words for today's gift.
I cannot pick out any little piece that doesn't match up to the quality of all the others.
Oh I can think of many occasions the new background can be used for and here I have to admit that I have been naughty and not waited for the shows today and have ordered the set because I just know that by the time I got to watch (if the signal behaves and it looks as though we are in for the most horrible of days so 'what signal' is going to be the questions here; we have had the most gorgeous week with loads of sunshine and high temps so I suppose I should be happy that it's cooled down and everything is getting watered) SOLD OUT would be the cry and I would be crying.
My dies arrived here yesterday so it's going to be happy crafting for me. I bought Burgundy - of course; how could I not? grand vinery and curled vines and they look scrumptous.

Pam - what a wonderful day Robbie/Oscar and the family would have had - and I agree it would be the best therapy.

Congratulations to all the very lucky winners. It was nice to see one or two names I recognised.
To the ones I didn't recognise and are strangers we hope you'll stay and be part of the most fantastic blog you could find.

Hope everyone is OK and that your thunderstorms have moved away. Take care everyone. See you tomorrow.

Hi Sue
A wow card if ever I saw one.
Pam I am taking things slowly I do not make a good patient as I like to be doing something so not able to do things is hard for me, but managed to sit a cut out some bits while on sofa, I wish I had an excited dog I had been upsatirs for 10 days as my dog G/Shepherd is nearly 12 and cannot get upstairs so when I managed to come down he just looked at me and walked off, so glad Robbie is able to go out with the family it will do him the world of good, thank you for all the messages
Wow what a lot of winners congratulations to you all.
All set to watch shows later.
Love and big hugs to all the Wilsonettes
Happy crafting

Well not long to wait now til 12 - I've already ordered the EFs as I think they will sell like hot cakes as your EFs always do, and I didnt want to miss out as they are sooo lovely. Well better get that last batch of ironing done before it gets too hot here - I'm getting a tad fed up with this hot n humid weather now but there's more coming this week they say - thank goodness for fans! Have a good show - looking forward to seeing you partner Julia - could be quite a double act me thinks!

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
Wow what an eye catcher you have made for us today. My eyes soon widen from their sleepy state when this one unfurled itself. I have to say that today's little topper is so true for a whole lot of our friends here on the blog and for our wee Robbie that wee have adopted. It is just so true in the way life is abusing some of our blog family that sometimes at the end of the day hope is all we have left. Stunning card today and with the gold so right for a golden wedding. The devine eloquence die is such a pretty one, but i love the borders that you have put on the sides. I hope you have a wonderful day Sue on C&C with Julia. Is she as daft as a brush(a whole heap of fun in everyone else's language) in real life as she seems like on the tv?
Pam so so happy that young Robbie had such a lovely pick me up day with his precious friend and his family as it will make all the difference to him and his will to succeed. I hope that his successes are lightening your worry for him. He will come on( i have my fingers and everything i can cross crossed)we just need to have a wee bit faith and a lot of determination on his part.
WOW what a lot of winners and recognizing a few names like Sam, Mrs Duck, Jean, Crafty Sue and a few others. I am so pleased for all the winners, i know a few will be stunned that their name is there, enjoy everyone.
Well from the horrible rain again yesterday to the beautiful airy day today it is wonderful and since i never seem to have an empty washing basket for more than 30mins, i had better get it done in the lovely weather. We have the Costa de Glenochil here at the moment all we are missing is the sand and sea but imagination is a great thing with a child's paddling pool and sand pit, i can dream.
I hope everyone has a lovely day where ever they may be and let the sun shine out from inside if it can't from out. Sending gentle hugs to all our fragile friends that could be doing with it.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Sunday Smiles to you Sue and all Wilsonettes. Lol I see you Sue with lovely Dean interupting your prep work ready for the Tool Shed lol, cheeky monkey : )
Anyway, congrats to all winners, those we see daily and those we do not. Welcome to a wonderful world and hope to see more of you.
Pam - I was so happy to read Robby had a VIP visit yesterday. I could go into detail about the time I worked on intensive care and a pet visit, but it may not seem real under the circumstances with it being a high tec/clean nursing area, plus I dont want it to be one of those - been there, got the t.shirt type things when someone has done that but done it better, if you know what im trying to say, but there wasnt a dry eye on the unit, so Im thrilled Robbie had such a wonderful time with his very best friend.
Nana Tina - Im really pleased you struggled downstairs, must have been such a struggle and knocked you for 6 for a time, but to try and get comfortable enough to do a little crafting must have been lovely for you. Im not sure how many miles are between us but if only I could offer a little company I would. You have done wonders to decrease those strong meds, but dont over do it, and to be honest Id ask for a home visit from your Gp if you can.

Sue. Thank you for giving me a few hour's to look forward to today. To watch you craft makes my day. I love watching an expert bring card and metal to life, its amazing, plus you play and experiment, and make 'happy accident's' then show US how not to so as not to waste our valuable stock. I bet there are SO many wonderful Wilsonettes that make such stunning cards thanks to your helping hand. One day I hope to join them in creating W.O.W cards too.

Im looking forward to reading down many known names that have been lucky enough to win a new die set, and to those we dont see that often, it will be nice to get to know you all and read your comments and funny 'craft oopsies' often.
To ALL good luck. Happy Sunday and enjoy the Tool Shed later.
Love you.

Hi Sue. Sorry I did not get a chance to comment yesterday as we had to go to my little nephews Christening all day. It was a lovely service and then we had a family "do" afterwards, finally ending with most of us having a drink in the garden at the local pub. ( including the man who did the service who is hubby's Dad !!) He baptised his own grandson !! It was such a boiling hot day !! Yesterday's card Sue was beautiful. I loved it all. Very pretty. X x x
Today's card is really nice but there is something I am not quite sure about. I think it is the Justrite background stamp you have used. I think it is "too busy". Sorry Sue, just my personal opinion. This is very rare for me !! I really love the rest of the card though. I love the Divine Eloquence and Tranquil Moments die sets. I think they are both beautiful sets. I love the all gold card with a little lavender in it. A lovely colour combo. As always the star of the card for me are the beautiful Roses dies. ( Now one of my favourite and most frequently used die sets !!).
I can't wait to see you and Julia on Toolshed today !! I am also recording them to. I really want your new embossing folders but have to wait for pay day now. Thank you as always, for all your continuous hard work and inspiration Sue. It is always very much appreciated.
Congratulations to all of today's winners x x x

Pam, So pleased to hear about Robbie and his little doggie. I bet they are both so pleased to be back together again !! Pets are such a great medicine. I hope you are still coping ok to. Sending you both lots of love and get well soon wishes, love Tres x x x

Lindsey, Please take it easy today and have a rest to help you recover. Sending you lots of love and hugs love Tres x x x

Lots of love and hugs to all the Wonderful Wilsonettes today. Have a great day everyone Love Tres x x x

Hi Sue, an attractive card but just a little too busy for me. The individual elements are fine, I just wouldn't have put them all together. Glad to see I am not the only one 'cos sometimes it can be lonely being the one dissenting voice :-). Just as well we don't all like the same things though as it would be a terribly dull world.
Congratulations to all of today's winners, enjoy your prizes.
Ready now to watch the Tool Shed and pick up yet more tips.

Hi Sue & all the Wilsonettes

Love the card, I love ornate. The background stamp may have to be a GWS gift to myself hehehe, any excuse!

Well, I'm pleased I am watching online as Suffolk is having its 2nd lot of thunderstorms in 14 hours so Sky box apparently isn't working so the record is ruined. Brought some pretty coloured cardstock as my stamp & die bill this month may be a little more than it should!!!

Pam, I'm delighted that Robbie has been able to spend time with his dog. I'm sure it'll really be of benefit on many levels. I absolutely believe in animals being the best therapy. Billy is my best friend (aside from Mr WheelyBad of course!) I don't think he's spend more than 6' away from me since I got home. He's not had to help me with me in bed too often so its a good training opportunity. He'd rather just lounge in comfort next to me though!

Congrats to card winners, fingers crossed for everyone for die draws on Monday x

Yorkielass June, I'm getting there, thank you for asking. Pushed a little too much yesterday but being a bit more sensible today. Aiming for sitting on the sofa for a couple of hours later. Mr. WheelyBad won't let me overdo it. Nor will Billy, he does know when I start to struggle and will tell everyone. No secrets in this house!

Sorry to hear some Wilsonettes are suffering, Lindsay, you've worked so hard and deserve a rest. Hope you recover quickly, Tina, Ita hope you're starting to feel better, Pam- every day is a day closer to the plaster coming off and anyone else struggling, hurting ill or tired I send you my most therapeutic hugs xxx

Well, it's been thundering and lightening for an hour and a half now! Even Billy is beginning to get annoyed with it as he usually goes with Mr WheelyBad to see his 'Grandma', eat biscuits and generally show everyone what a clever boy he is by finding shoes and cushions to give to them as presents!

Crafty hugs, I hear a group exodus to craft rooms/ tables /areas all over the country after all that inspiration!
