Thanks

Hello my crafty friends!  Another week just flying by and it's Friday already!  I hope today's card will give you a little crafty inspiration for the weekend!  I started by embossing my white card using the Art Deco Fanfare embossing folder.  I wrapped a piece of Green and white striped grosgrain ribbon around the bottom of the card and taped the ends to the back.  I tied a double bow and added it to the middle of my ribbon with a couple of glue dots.  I topped the middle of it with a white crystal sparkler.  For the focal element, I used the San Francisco die set from my California Collection and used the cutting edge from the Basic Set A set to give a slightly larger emboss area which I inked while still in the die.  I used Mowed Lawn distress ink for that. I cut two of the tags from the California Collection and crisscrossed them with some mounting foam and added them to the middle of the previous die.  I stamped my sentiment in black and cut it out with the Decorative  Set B die and inked it very lightly with Mowed Lawn before removing it from the die.  I added it to my focal element with some mounting foam.  I made two pretty stick pins to match and added them to my bow.  I finished the card with a few pearls in the corners and a double white pierced mat layer.  Finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue, fabulous card today - love the splash of green. Can hardly wait for a couple of Californian dies I've ordered to arrive so I can try something a bit like this (I don't have the embossing folder or the ribbon ).

Congratulation on your Anniversary Sheila and Mr. L. I hope you had a lovely day. It would have been my dear Mum's 100th birthday on Friday. She would have loved this card. Hope the weather is kind to you on Saturday Cameeli. Hugs to all.
