On Your Special Day

Good Sunday morning all!  How about the complete opposite from yesterday's card!  Girly, frilly and pink!  This is one of the samples that I made for my wedding shows in April.  I started with a piece of Blush cardstock and cut the Tapestry background out of it.  I left a rather wide border around the edge so I was able to add mounting foam for dimensions.  Before removing the die, I sponged around the edge with Spun Sugar Distress ink as well, to accentuate the border and die detail.  I mounted this over a piece of coconut white card to also help show the detailed cut out areas on the die.  For the focal element, I used the largest die in the Splendid Circle set.  I stamped my sentiment using a clear Perfect Medium pad and heat embossed it in Cosmic Shimmer silver shine embossing powder.  I cut it out with a smaller die in the Splendid Circle set and inked it with Spun Sugar.  I cut one more of these dies in silver and off set it slightly behind my sentiment.   I tied a double bow with white frilly edged ribbon and seated a silver satin rose and pearl strings in the centre.  I made two fancy pink stick pins to match and added them to my bow.  I finished the card with a white pierced mat, followed by a thin silver mat and a final white mat.  Flatback pearls in the corners were added as embellishments.  The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 3/4" in size.
