Best Wishes

Hi bloggers!  One of the demo cards from my last weekender shows for today's card.  I selected one of my favourite decorative papers from my stash and embossed it with the Art Deco Fanfare folder for texture.  I matted it with a thin white mat then onto a larger custard card mat.  I wrapped a piece of champagne coloured silky crush ribbon around the bottom of the card and taped the ends to the back.  I tied a double bow and added it with glue dots.  In the centre of the bow, I added a gold satin ribbon rose and cut several of my Faux Quilled leaves and some pearl strings to tuck around it.  For the focal element, I cut the Umbria die from the Italian Collection out of coconut white card.  I used the cutting edge from the Decorative Frames in the Italian collection for the outside of the die.  Out of custard card, I cut the Decorative Frame from the California Collection.  I nipped the edges off of it so I was able to use them to create a smaller background for my sentiment.  I stamped my sentiment on coconut white card and embossed it with gold powder.  I cut it out with the circle from the Decorative frames Italian collection and inked it with Antique Linen before removing it from the die.  I seated my nipped pieces around it to complete my focal element.  I made a couple of fancy stick pins from beads in my stash and finished my bow with them.  Finally, pearls in the corners and my pierced layer, a custard mat then a final white mat to complete my card.  Finished dimensions are 7" x 8 3/4" in size.

The winner of this week's Wednesday card giveaway is:

Weefortune!!!

Congratulations!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com  to confirm your address and claim your card.  All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue and all the crafty crew!!

WOW!! Really lovely, elegant cards over the past few days.

Sorry not to have been commenting but, its just been hectic here!!

The big day is finally here and should I be feeling nervous?? We have several hours until the Church at 2pm.

Well everything has been done that can be and so I am confident that all should run smoothly. And yes the sun is out and at least it is forecast for Sunshine.

A huge thank you to everyone who has left comments for me I am delighted by your kindness and generosity.

Crafty hugs to everyone who needs them, and enjoy the day whatever you are doing.

Morning Sue (if its still morning there by the time you check in) and morning to all Wilsonettes.
Cam, well its the BIG day at last, all the hard work, early mornings to market, and all those butterflies will be shown to the guests today (bet your future D.I.L's house is a hive of activity) all I wish for you is a perfect day with memories to keep close forever. Have the most wonderful day Cam and.I shall be clock watching and thinking of you at 2pm xx
Is it us next ? June 26th or.do we have another Wilsonette Wedding before then ?
Oh Sue, magnificent. Its like a slow errupting volcano, thats all I can say. The subtle background with your new EB slowly works its way down to the bow and flower surrounded by pretty leaves - BOOM, that's the erruption of beauty. How special would you feel if you received a card like this. I know such a card deserves a beautiful box, but maybe CE could design extra dimension envelopes, then I could 'try' to enhance my cards to this extent for market to help them become postable. Ive found envelopes for decoupaged cards, but I would presume even those wouldn't stop such beauty being squished !
Your work of beauty today is really special and shows your new dies off to perfection.

Well done 'Weefortune' on winning your W.O.W - enjoy : )

Off to Cassie training at 11am today, then to my craft shop to collect my Sue Die. Woohoo : )

To all that are not so good I send you hugs.
To all friends, enjoy your weekend and to those that work, enjoy your Bank Holiday day off.

Love you.

Good afternoon Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
Oh what a glorious card you have made for our delight today Sue. It has that luxurious, opulent look about it and with the beautiful champagne ribbon with the rose which matches in like a dream. I think that i just might have to invest in some of those roses as they look so lovely with the crushed silk ribbon. I am waiting patiently for my leaves to arrive from Sunrise but i am having fun with my Spanish dies the now. The concoctions that you can make from these dies are wonderful. I made 2 boxes to house the special wedding invites for the mums, that i have made for my old friends' daughter who is getting married for the 4th time(i would have given up after the 1st). She said that she has never had such beautiful invites, but as she has had the big no holds barred each time affair and if anything this is definitely the smallest of all, i just couldn't believe it somehow. But i was just relieved that she was pleased with them as i was so scared they wouldn't be right for her. This is where the motorbike and sunflower with the music background was going if you remember that wee story a few months ago. Crikey even her partner was impressed and being honest apart from a select few, how many men actually notice anything when it comes to cards?Dashed few i reckon, but at least that is one worry of my mind.
Oh well our beautiful MOG(mother of the groom) will be the proud mother of a new daughter. I hope you are having a wonderful day Cameeli and you have the most wonderful memories to look back on, but enjoy every minute of this very special day.
I'm sure i seen that Sheila was remembering her honeymoon 33 years ago and i hope it was better than mine. Well hey, if everything else went wrong so would the honeymoon and sure as fate it did. We had to borrow a £1000 loan to go, but left the first £91 in the bank to cover the first months payment. The trip to Puerto Rico was a nightmare as we thought we were going to America, you know the one with the same name that is part of the vast expanse of the USA. Well it wasn't, it was one of the Baleric Islands that was full of cockroaches and other horrible things. We found ourselves in this "hotel" that was manky and couldn't have been any further away from the beach if it tried. The rooms were crawling with all sorts of things and we both ended up ill. You've heard of the 39 steps, well this was 649 steps to the beach or a 3 mile downhill walk. We went out for a romantic Indian meal to this lovely restaurant and then didn't have enough money with us to pay for the meal so we had to borrow of another couple from our in hotel. I'll tell you, talk about being embarrassed because we only knew them by sight. The only good thing to come out of it was, i was 9stone when i went and 8stone when i came back, i think the 3mile hike up and down the hill or steps was the starting point somehow. Great times and just the perfect honeymoon to finish off the wedding antics to a tee.
Vanessa, have a wonderful time in the States with your son and almost daughter, take care and we will find out all about it when you come back.
Jean, oh thank goodness for the angel of mercy that came to your sons' aid. I am so pleased that both your son and Snowbirds son is making some head way in getting better.
Well done Wee Fortune in winning this weeks beautiful card. When you see it up close it is even better.
Well from a bit nippy Glenochil i will wish all my Wilsonettes a good weekend and i hope you to see you all tomorrow.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Late again, but worth the wait beautiful card I must invest in those leaves sue, hope the wedding cam went ok, ur proberly a bit merry now but I hope everything went well for you all, honeymoons who'd have them I left ours down to the hubby to sort, I had gave our house to all the travelling relatives who were staying, hoping that thr hubby would book us a nice night in a hotel (we had three kids and one in the oven when we got married so couldn't go away) anyways by the time the night was over asked were we w where going , he had forgot to book anywhere, my dad rung round every hotel in our area but we had a few events happening at same time so every where was booked, couldn't go home so we stayed in our car (very old gold cortina) in our wedding atire in a coach station lol it was a wedding night never to forget in all the wrong ways but I wouldnt have changed it for anything, 22 yrs together and 17yrs married, im stil with the forgetful rogue
Anyways hugs to all x lorraine
