Thanks So Much

Hi bloggers!  It's the chalkboard technique or should I say "chockboard" as I do! LOL  I will never live that one down, will I!   I love this technique myself, especially when it is put together with a pastel sort of colour.  I picked our mauve card for my background and used the Ornate Corner stamp from Justrite to give a random bit of interest to it.  I stamped it with the Snow Cap Adirondack Pigment pad.  No embossing, just let it dry naturally for a soft sort of ghost image.  You can't really tell that it is an actual corner that was stamped when you turn it all different directions, you don't get that hard corner line.  Next I stamped the Lavish Corner Background on black card using a clear Perfect Medium pad.  I heat embossed it with True White powder.  In order to get a sort of distressed look, I lightly rubbed it in spots before embossing it as you don't want it to look perfect.  I used a piece of cut 'n dry foam and swiped across it with the Snow Cap ink to give it the appearance of chalk dust too.  I matted it on another piece of black card that I drew a keyline around using a white pencil.  I also used the edge of my scissors to do a bit of distressing along both the black card and the mauve card.  I stamped my sentiment from the Bold Sentiment set by Creative Expressions.  I cut the sentiment and mounted it on my acrylic block in two rows to fit the oval  of the stamped image.  I made some felt flowers from the mauve felt in the blossom felt pack and the smallest ones were die cut from the Heartfelt Creations Layered Scalloped Posy set.  I seated my flower on a mauve seam binding messy bow and added some black tulle and black jute twine to dress it.  I finished the card with a double layer black mat with a pierced inner mat.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
I would not normally go for a black card, but this is stunning Sue. I have all the parts except the stamp but hey you can't have everything. Lilac against the black is so beautiful and each enhance the other.
I got some of the felt as i think the flower in the felt really do look lovely and sit really nicely giving a full look to the flower.
Pam , i too won a card but here on the blog and it is as you say beautiful in real life.
To all the lucky people jetting off to exciting shores,i can fit in a suitcase and if it was one on wheels you wouldn't need to carry me????I'll be good, i promise???
Have a safe journey where ever you go this season and i'll raise my coffee in wishing you a merry Christmas and a fantastic New Year. Hope everyone has a brilliant time.
Love and crafty hugs

Moooorning Sue and Winter Wilsonettes, late today, took the morphine a little longer to kick in today (did far too much yesterday) ! Now before my poor lonely brain cell gives up totally I need to start my waffle with ...
Cr@fty - STILL in 'hyper' mode, keep looking back to make sure I read it properly ! And have a fantastic holiday xx
Tracy - Sweetheart, you are SO deserving of rest and relaxation. Hope you are getting help - health before wealth sugar xx
Delyth - Safe journey and have a wonderful 7 weeks - Happy upside down Christmas : )
Denise - SNAP ! Off to finish Mr Lanc's card after my waffle !

Ok, done. Brain, settle down and take a deep breath, I'll need you later !
Hey ! Chalk/chock, who cares, both white, but only one edible, and I bet with that 'sexy' American accent Sue, even your 'naughty (but necessary) words sound great : ) oh pleeease, who DOESN'T curse at guilding flakes, moving acitate, and 'tricky' to place swirly pearls ? And what about the time you are about to place a sticky die on your most favourite card ever and it slips from your fingers onto your almost finished special card and the glue instantly sticks and WONT move, then pulls some background card with it ! All the time your adrenalin is swishing round your body, you've swallowed your heart twice ! Goodness me, and believe me, with MY pathetic hands/fingers I've been there : 0 only MY choice words sound like Martyn as born and bread in Brum not far from the NEC (what was I saying) ?
Yeah, we chuckled but it was cute, so don't even TRY to sound all British Sue, we love you just the way you are (anyone feel a song coming on) ? : )

I love this card, and watched the show a few times now and I smiled like a cheshire cat when Our Pam was read out, as I do whenever I hear my lovely friends and fellow Winter Wilsonettes names on e-mails.
It wont be long before you are in Birmingham Sue, so if you need any help just shout : 0 that's what I call pushing my luck lol ! To those very special friends that wont be able to log in over Christmas - have a truely wonderful day, you will be missed, all Wilsonettes looking for rooms at the Inn's have a great break and mind the sheep doodo, wipe your feet before you re-enter.
And to all other manic, stressed, Winter Wilsonettes, if you are going out for last minute nits n bob's - Im totally worried that you've lost the plot (shoulder's at the ready) and go give some welley !
Love to all before me and to all those after me.
See you tomorrow. Love and hugs.
Lancashire Steph xxxx
