Get Well Soon

Good Sunday morning!  I hope that everyone is staying warm and toasty this morning as I hear it has been a bit chilly (understatement!) lately!  I've got not quite two weeks before I experience it myself firsthand!  Today's card uses some of my personal favourite die sets, including the older set that was on yesterday's card (see I do use older dies quite often!)  I started by picking out some decorative paper from my stash.  It has a soft tone on tone pattern which is something I adore in papers.  You can see the pattern in the close up pics below.  I decided to go bold with it and mix it with a deep navy blue.  I cut two of the Scallop Borders Two out of the French Navy cardstock and taped them so they were peeking out the sides of the decorative paper.  I used some navy silky crush ribbon and wrapped it down the centre of the card and taped the ends to the back.  I tied a double bow and used glue dots to attach it the the bottom centre.  I couldn't find any embellishment that I liked to match so I created my own by wrapping some of the decorative paper around a rounded glass embellishment.  I glued it to the centre of my bow as an accent.  Next I cut a Vintage Labels Four die from Justrite using the navy cardstock.  I stamped it with the lacy stamp from the Vintage Birthday set from Justrite.  I used a clear Perfect Medium pad for a watermark look.  I stamped it again on taupe card, then stamped my sentiment over it in Cobalt Archival ink.  I cut them out and stacked them with mounting foam.  To add just a touch of extra to my focal element, I cut a Fancy Tag two die in taupe and cut it in half.  I mounted each end around the blue die cut, bringing the swirly bits around the front so it looks like it is holding the die.  I added a double mat in taupe, but only pierced down the sides of the card.  The finished dimensions are 6  3/4" x 8 1//4" in size.

It's Sunday, you know what that means (besides getting to sleep in!)...winners!

Two lots today.  The first set of Comment Game Winners is:
Carole Z!!!
Kym's Crafty Cards!!!
Liz Wagner!!!

From the extra qualifying post of Wed. Nov. 27th, the winners are:
Karen G. Ratcliffe!!!
Jean Z!!!
Erica!!!

Congratulations!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize!  All for now, Sue x

Great colour combo on this card; love how you covered the glass bead thing. I asked you once before on that one , this seems a more achievable source. I'll not have to make too many or we won't be able to play the New market card game!! We used to use dried butter beans to play with. GM Sue - lovely card and colour combo. Forgotten what the sun is almost! Lots of dull grey days here of late. Well 10 CCards assembed yday so only the special ones to do. Started a new project yday also - decorating a birdhouse - for a local comp. Never done this sort of thing before so could be fun or a complete disaster - we shall see... Njoy your last 2 weeks.

Morning Sue,
I hope your well,
Well you've done it once more for us, but this doesn't surprise me, I'm just in Awe with your work and everything you do!
I really Love the Decorative Paper you have Chosen from your Paper Stash, which has that Tone on Tone look, which I now relate to you as much as Piercing around the edges of your Card.
I love the Deep Blue Card which you have chosen to go with your Decorative Paper, the two work so well together, I would never have thought of using my Scallop Borders in this way (I know your always saying think outside the box) using the Fabulous Silky Crush Ribbon and your wonderful Matching Embellishment you clever lady, I so Love the Sentiment and I'm really loving this Watermark look on your Sentiment, this Card as always is Truly Awesome.
I'm so looking forward to seeing you back on Create and Craft very soon, with Los of new Demo's.
Congratulations to all the wonderful winners

I love the way the border dies enhance the embellishment.
Thank you for your inspiration this week.

Hope you have put up your Advent calendars everyone - so we really are on the count down now.

Oooooo oooooo OOOOOOO : ) jeeewiz WHAT a beauty for a Sunday. Lie in Sue ? What's one of those ? A new die or something ? Up at 5am everyday, and inbetween, my body hates being bed ! As does my mind (probably cuz I cant waffel while Im sleeping) oh shush Mr Lancashire ! Huh, cheek ! Anyway, good afternoon Sue and amazing Wilsonettes, sorry you have flu Pam (if only men really knew how real flu feels) ay lady friends ? A few 'drips' and out pops Man Flu ! I popped in earlier this morning, but there was so much snorring on here I couldn't think, plus I saw Our Sue out on the sun lounger in 80 degrees with a long cool drink and couldnt take anymore ! Your Wow Of Wilson is beyond beautiful - of course if I hadn't emailed you the idea then you'd have been lost - right Sue ? I bloomin well wish ! I love the idea of using papers behind the dies, must try that, I have some very similar to the paper shown, oh, errr, hmmm - maybe it would help if I had some SB dies ! I only have a D-lite door, and a pack of 3 edging dies (which I had bought me about 4yrs ago) ! So you could day I have a small amount of catching up to do ( maybe a bank job is called for after all) ha with no finger print on my 2 silly little index fingers it'll be a doddle : )
Oh, I have navy card, wow, almost there lol, give me a few more years and I'll have that card down to a T : )

CANT wait to have you back on our screens again Sue 14 more sleeps (or naps) only sad thing is you have to leave wonderful Florida and Mom for our benefit and our Wilson addiction ! So fill those cases with snuggly woollen jumpers, as you'll really need them by then (no more swanning round in ya shorts) oooohhh nooo !

Thanks for all the cards you have posted while you have been away we do appreciate you Sue.
And congrats to all the lucky winners (how much did the bribary cheque cost) ? No, honestly, I really am happy for you all - you may even be lucky enough to win one of mine one day.

Love and Sunday smiles to you all. Hope you feel a bit better tomorrow Pam.

Loving the videos and the inspiration hope there are lots more to come its a wee bit of me time where I lock myself in my bedroom and get some peace.
It also helps that I have 90% of the items and only need to purchase a few things to complete the look which is just about affordable this time of year.
