Christmas Double Day

Hi bloggers!  I think it is about time that I start my Friday Christmas double days back up or I will never get through the vast myriad of cards that I have made! LOL  First up today is an almost all white one.  I started by cutting the Netted Star Background in white.  I attached it over a piece of coconut white card with a sticky adhesive sheet added to it.  I used Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz on all the exposed adhesive areas, then added small pearls to the stars.  I used the Double Pierced Noble Squares to add a multi layered white on white frame over it. In the lower corner, I cut a bunch of pine sprigs from the Robin die set and added tips of gold from a paint pen.  I arranged them in the corner and added a robin and pine cones to it.  I used a little bit of Vintage Photo and Worn Lipstick inks on the robun.  I used the Swirly Silent Night in the centre cut out of both vintage gold and black, used as a shadow.  White on white mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x 7" in size.  Scroll down for card number two.

Staying with that almost white look, the second card is more of a clean and simple look.  I started with a piece of coconut white card as my background.  I cut a wide strip of white card then embossed it with the Ice Crystals embossing folder for texture, then matted it with silver card and attached it across the top of the card with foam.  I cut three of the wreath from the Star Wreath set, two in gold and one in silver and glued them across the strip, overlapping the silver on top, I added the sentiment from the Merry Christmas mini expressions in silver at the bottom of the card and finished with white and silver mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Take care and have fun Kitty.

Two wonderful cards! Being a bit of a traditionalist I prefer the first card but could definitely see the second one being suitable for someone a bit younger (good grief, I sound like I'm ancient but I'm only 49! :D). Debra x

Morning Sue. Can't and won't decide which I favour most, both absolutely beautiful in their own right. The first is beautiful with your gorgeous framing the winter foliage lending a branch or two for the robin. And your second, easy to look at but beautifully tactile to give someone that has limited vision. Although I'm not a lover of the festive season whilst still clinging onto summer I'm looking forward to Friday's and your double inspiration day. So thank you and hope your day is a good one xxx

I like the first one too, but I have to admit the second one made me buy that die set.

Just looking at the pinecone die, it doesn’t look like it will cut a very nice pinecone, but on your card it looks great!

September does seem like a good time to start festive cards.

Enjoy your Friday.

Best,
Donita

Good Morning Sue. Omg...Christmas Card double days...
And we havnt had our hols yet. Both are beautiful cards Sue...but being a traditionalist the first one has my vote. But I have to say...the second one I think would be great for the younger members of the family.
I'm always a late starter...but last Christmas I felt so good. Last December I bought the 2017 Angel...which I love...and during the holiday I just carried on making them and I now have 50 up to press...all the same for my line dance ladies. Thank you Sue. Sending best wishes to everyone. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

WOW Sue , Two stunning cards this morning .. I love having a peep at your Christmas cards and its to hard to decided which one I like the best. The background on the first card created with the netted star is stunning and finished beautifully with the finishing touches. I love the second card for the colours, I have to admit I have never used gold and silver together , its one or the other but after seeing your card I am going to give it ago.
Crafty hugs and well wishes to all.. Wendy

Beautiful posts....Remember seeing these on Hochanda and particularly like the second post as it was a bit different from a classic Christmas card with the main dies not necessarily being just for Christmas.
