A Little Birdie Told Me

Hi crafters!  I just love this sweet birdhouse card, I hope you will too.  I started by creating a crackle background for it,  I painted a piece of black card with our crackle glaze and let it dry.  Next I used Warm White Matte paint with a small amount of Chocolate Gold metallic paint (for colour) mixed in.  I painted it across the crackle glaze and watched the cracks appear (very quickly).  I allowed it to dry well, then added a frame over using the Double Stitched Rectangles. From the Little Birdie Told Me set,  I cut the sentiments out of red card that I had covered with Fire Red Glitter Kiss, then glued them on to Stitched Flag dies going in opposite directions.  I added them with foam coming out from the sides of the frame.  Next I cut the branch out of tan card and inked the leaves with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink.  I glued it to the top of the frame.  From the Home Tweet Home set, I cut the birdhouse roofs and porches out of red and petrol blue card.  I attached them to the birdhouse cut out of white but I inked through the dies with Barely nude Chalk Cloud ink.  I cut the stand out of tan card.  I added a couple of mall birds to the houses out of tan card too.  White on white mats and layers completed the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  7 3/4" in size.  all for now, Sue x
