Wishing You Lots Of Love

Good Sunday morning all!  Did I mention that I have lots of gingerbread men cards?  LOL   For today' card, I started by cutting the Lattice Ribbon die twice out of red and once out of white card.  I cut each of them down the centre and added a strip of card the same colour to create thinner ribbon strips.  I backed each of them with the same colour and added mounting foam to raise them.  I added them to a piece of white card, alternating the colours (you will have a left over red strip)  I cut the Snowflake edger icicle die and added Iced Snow to it then glued it along the top side of the background.  Next I cut the Gingerbread House in tan card.  I added a white roof, sides and chimney to it and dusted the edges with Iced Snow. I used the door when I cut it then added four white panels to it.   I cut a white backing for it, then with the door open, I stamped my sentiment on the inside of the door.  I added a holly above the door and two crossed candy canes to the side of the house.  I cut the Gingerbread Man die in tan and added some pink cheeks and tummy.  Red bow and buttons and white icing were also added.  White and red mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  7 1/2" in size.

The winners of this week's Comment Game are:

Pussycats!!!
Crewe Trish!!!
Rosemarie Fishlock!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your card.  All for now, Sue x

Little lamb, what fun to make Pom poms with your granddaughter.
Betty, hope you had fun too with your grandchildren. Grandmas are always in great demand at this tim of the year.
Elaine, technology and I don't get on well, but I would be lost without it. Hope Trixie is better soon.
Sharon if you are able to look in I hope you are having a wonderful time in Cyorus. Rest and recuperation will do you good.
Had a senior moment last night, was thinking of going to bed as had to be up early for work today, doh. Had to check in my phone, lost track with these days off.
Dorothy not long now till your cast comes off but you may gave to have physio before you can craft again. The freedom will be wonderful.
Saba, feel free to echo, I hope your friend is okay.
Like Muriel and many others I too am thinking Sues Reverse technique may work on lots of other dies.
Have a good Sunday, hug basket is overflowing. Sending some to poorly and missing friends.

Hi Sue. Magical, fun, and festive, but an absolute tease. I've been waiting for my gingerbread die for what seems a lifetime and my impatience is growing by the day ! My keeper warned me that this particular company were slow but this waiting around is making me crazy ! Everywhere was running out of them on Black Friday, all these internet companies fighting to give the best price etc, if I've learnt nothing else this week, I've learnt that my little craft shop gives the best service if not the best price, so to keep her dream of having a craft shop alive, and to keep it up and running with these internet shopping wars, then my loyalties will lie with her or I run the risk of losing my special, lovely little shop and it's personal and friendly service. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the day these cheeky little characters smile back at me from my craft table. A lovely happy card Sue for early sunday morning.
congratulations to the winners enjoy using your gift.
Sunday smiles, love and hugs are making their way to you xxx

Pam - I have senior moments all of the time! Like June, I often have to work out what day it is.
June - I've got a pile of ironing to do too unfortunately and another load of washing to do which I've put off because of trying to get it dry not having a tumble dryer and Dave hates it on the radiators! I don't think he realises how hard it is to dry them!!
Love and hugs to all, Alison xxx

Good Morning Sue. Another fun card how brilliant for young families and so colourful. Any one would be happy to open this one. Pam i am not sure where you live but I have friends who live " over the hill " ( meaning the Penines ) they live in Warrington and to them a stotty means a breadcake, or so they tell me. I live in Leeds and we call breadcakes straight from the bakery " oven bottom cakes ". The best ones I ever taste are from a firm called Firth and Payne. We have one in Leeds market and they are gorgeous. Isn't it funny how some areas differ. I also know someone who calls a pan of stew and dumplings..... a lobby......ha ha ... where that comes from I have no idea. We could probably go on all day couldn't we. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds
