Anything For You

Hi bloggers!  You will be surprised to find that today's offering is an actual card, with an inside and everything! LOL   I just couldn't resist making one with the Hexagon Nobles!  I made a shaped card blank using the Double Stitched Noble Hexagons out of coconut white card.  I opened up the blank, then used the large decorative die from the Classic Adorned Hexagon set to cut a design into the outer edge.  Next I closed the blank and used the Double Stitched dies to emboss some detail (which also shows through on the inside too)  Out of Rich Plum card, I cut the large decorative frame from the Lavish Accented Hexagon Noble die set and added it with foam.  I stamped my sentiment then added a small frame cut from white card and backed with rich plum over it.  Using the solid flowers from the Pinwheel Floral, I made a flower and inked it with Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide and seated it with a thin satin bow and some leaves from the set.  On the inside of the card, I stamped another sentiment, then used the Classic Adorned Hexagon set to cut it out using two decorative dies around it.  I cut a plum card backing for the smaller of the two sections and glued it in back before adding the entire piece to the inside of the card with double sided tape so it was flat.  The finished dimensions are about 6 1/2" across at the widest point.  All for now, Sue x

Lovely cards Sue, beautiful. I so love the hexagon dies, they are some of my favourites.
Julia's show were superb, she showed so many techniques, my favourite was the shaving foam and pixies, looked scrumptious and good enough to eat, although she warned not too. She is fun to watch and seems much happier on Hochanda, she bounces well off Charlie and Matt and I know she loves Dave too.
June hope you are feeling better today, you sounded very poorly yesterday, rest and care from Colin should sort you out. Big medicinal hug for you my friend.
Elaine, hope Diva Dot enjoyed her visit, you will have your flat back to normal now. You have all had a lovely Christmas together.
Those of you who got vouchers for craft can shop to your hearts content now. Have fun.
Yvonne, knew you would be pooped, but glad you enjoyed having Mum and Dad there. Tell them to be careful driving, snow in Midlands and part of North East, just very cold here in Hartlepool and very windy.
Sam, woohoo, something lovely to look forward too, it must be like staying with family now, you know them so well over there.
My family arrive today, my house is lovely and tidy but I have the twins and Dave the dog today so don't think it will stay that way.
Keep warm and well, safe and happy. Hugs to all aplenty, sending some to missing and poorly friends.

Morning Sue. These Hexagonal collections are certainly very pretty and the design so intricate, made for the most prettiest of mixed media backgrounds. You've given us the most gorgeous card today. One of my jobs yesterday was to go through 'my keepers' 5 pages of A4 and mark those collections I really really need to make cards that visitors to the Farmers Market will love and appreciate. It broke my heart to have to do that, but who knew when you did your very first design launch there would be so many and come so frequently, so I now have a more manageable and realistic list which contains more of the 'fun' type dies rather than the background and edger dies as I have collected quite a few that will see me through. So I look forward to adding more hobby/theme designs to my keepers list as they appear, plus it's nice to see that panicked look lift from his face lol as we both realised there was no chance of ever catching up with all those I'd added over the years lol.
A deep hard cold frost this morning but a beautiful 'card' to warm our heart.
Sending love and hugs your way xxx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a beautiful card this morning and I am so pleased that you have shown the inside of the card too, it really is amazing, I must confess to having all the of the Hexagon dies but I have not used them yet, you have spurred me on to try them, not that I could ever match your wonderful creations.

Pam I reiterate all you have said above. Oh I think it is going to be a really a noisy house in Hartlepool today, you will have such a great time with everyone and you deserve it, I know you will be knackered at the end of it but remember you are making memories for everyone here. I feel a bit better this morning, Colin is really good when I am ill (which is not often thank goodness), making sure I take medication etc. I had breakfast yesterday but didn't want much else, so had a couple of cheese straws in the evening to take my medication, but I had a good nights rest, hopefully am over the worst of it now. Thank you everyone for your good wishes.

I need to tidy up my craft room and put some things away, I might try that later, will see how I feel, I am sorry I missed both John and Julia's shows over the past 2 days, will have to try and watch catch up.

Please everyone take care when out in the bad weather, only go out if you really have too.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Pam you will have a lovely time with your family , they will not worry if the house is tidy or not , mine had not seen a vac or been dusted for two days but will catch up today now we are back to normal .
Andrew was not too good over Christmas , hopefully his scan results will be viewed today .
Mary has seen her consultant who gave her the good news that her treatment is working , so she has decided it is worth the side effects and she has only to have three more treatments .

I will echo Pam again today .
It is very cold and icy here
Please be careful if you have to go out .

We are taking him and his family out today for lunch to our local carvery where we know they love to eat. We are also taking my brother as a change for him. So looking forward to a lovely family afternoon out. The only thing is...... what will we do next year when my youngest has his 50th birthday on Christmas Day! ! !

Hi Sue,

This is just gorgeous and I can't believe you made an actual card!...

My second teal Grand Calibur jammed yesterday while die-cutting - I couldn't shift the handle one way or the other so when hubby came home we unscrewed the plastic casing to see what was the matter, several loose screws inside, the handle gear cogs would not move at all so there was nothing for it but to smash it apart with a bolster and chisel to get the die and cutting plates out...decided I've finished with the GC's for ever having had the same problem with the first raspberry pink one and numerous handles so ordered a Platinum - just hope I don't regret investing in another Spellbinders product!...

Pam, you will have a cheery house today. Might be your house gets a bit messed but well worth it. I can not wait for my daughter to get here today from Maryland....with or without the dogs (I don't know yet).

Good morning Sue and all the Wilsonettes,
A beautiful Sue card today as always. I don't think I have ever seen one of your cards that I didn't like and would love to own all of your dies. I will be spoiled for choice when I have my crafty day out and haven't got a date for that yet.
Speaking of dates, one of my Grandchildren is expecting a baby and the expected date is TODAY. She is hoping to have a 'Water Birth' but is on a high risk list so I don't know if it will be allowed. She is 40 years old and this will be her first baby and my Daughter's first Grandchild. I already have 4 Great-Grandchildren, 2 in Canada and 2 here in England. The eldest is 21 and the youngest is 3.. I have already made a card in anticipation of the birth.
All for now.

This is a stunning card and so very beautiful i love the colour hou used with the white (plum?- sorry my memory is shockingly bad).
Im afraid ive forgotten how to make a shaped card blank and couldn't work it out from your explanation unfortunately-my cognitive function is bad at the moment.
Could i request a short tutorial on here or youtube on how to make a shaped card please. Im sure its as simple as simple can be but i really dont remember and id live to make a card the same shape as this as its so unusual and amazing.
Best wishes from Katielou Sweetlove x

I absolutely love this card it is beautiful as usual. Can I ask though, is there an error in the "ingredients" the leaves are from the pinwheel floral, but it says that the flowers are made from the , set too, is this correct?
