Just A Note

Hello there my crafty friends!  A little bit of an autumnal feel for today's card offering.  I started by cutting the Cascading Leaves four times across a piece of coconut white card.  I used just the aperture for this card (the leaves were used for a separate card).  Next I used pixie powders to create the background behind them.  Straw Yellow, Burnt Orange and Bronze were used.  I mounted the dry background behind the leaves and added a thin black mat.  I used the Honeycomb Haven embossing folder on a larger piece of coconut white card and seated my topper in the centre.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the Stitched Flags and added a black mat cut from the next size up.  I cut two of the Pinwheel Florals in white and added a white backing to them and a pearl centre.  The leaves from the set were added as accents.  White and black mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Good Morning Sue, beautiful card on this cold snowy morning.
My thoughts and prayers go out to our lovely brave Tracey and Graeme. So sorry that you are too unwell to have your treatment. You have so many friends on this blog and at home willing you to get better. I hope you can read the lovely messages. Thank you Pat for keeping us updated.
Elaine, I'm glad Andrew was well enough to have his scan. Let's all hope he has better news coming soon.
Little lamb I am with you on the iPad, mine is so slow and seems to be wearing down. It's an iPad 2 and my daughter says the iPads are now in their teens so I need a new one but they are so expensive. I keep willing it to keep working.
Yvonne, thank you for update on Laine, I hope she feels better soon. Please pass on my best wishes for her and her Mum.
Donita, yay, you have heat and don't have to decamp to a motel. Keep warm and well.
Our snow came last evening , fell very heavily but hasn't snowed overnight but temps were freezing. Hope the roads to work are clear, I don't like driving in snow.
Keep warm and well everyone, stay in the warm if you can. Thinking of all missing and poorly friends.

Hi Sue. Morning. There is nothing more warming on a cold frosty morning than a warm deep autumnal sample. I love these leaves and like most of your collections they welcome many different mixed media backgrounds, my go to at present is pixie powders, I'd never have guessed I'd be sooo addicted when at first I just either got a deep muddle flood or a dry sheet of card that did nothing but laugh at me for failing, but determination won and i adore them (have many more on Santa's list too) so todays gorgeous warm CAS sample has gone straight to the top of my soothing favourites a really relaxing way to start the week - thank you.
Whatever the day brings your way Sue hope happiness and love find their way xxx

Good morning Sue,
A beautiful card and great pixie powder background. There's no chance of seeing such autumnal colours here today as the snow arrived yesterday and buried them. Still the up shot is that I've been granted a 'snow day' from work so plan to escape to my craft cabin and hope to complete my Christmas cards! X

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh this is lovely, the colours in the leaves background using the pixie powders really look amazing.

Pam I reiterate all you have said, sounds like you need another ipad2, I wonder if father Christmas will help towards it.

Everyone please take care when driving especially if you are up in the North of the UK, I know they have had very bad weather up there, my granddaughter lives in Birmingham and is loving playing in it, she send me some lovely pictures of her snowman, even had her hoola hoop around it's tummy, very funny, but on a serious note it is treacherous out there especially when the ice sets in, so please be careful. We had a little bit of snow yesterday which settled for about 30 minutes, then the rain came and washed it all away, and it has not stopped raining since.

Special hugs today to all of our blog friends who are poorly, hope you get well soon.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Dear Sue and Friends,

The leaves are lovely! And to think there are five sets of white leaves just waiting for color! Very clever how you alternated them so they didn't look like the same leaves all lined up in tidy rows.

I had plenty of glitter happiness this weekend using the stars, hexagons, iced snow and maybe diamond snow. Very funky and interesting to mix them.

Tracy, we're wrapping you in a blanket of love to comfort and strengthen you. While we're all dashing around trying to finish things in time, your job is to snuggle with God and soak up the healing. You have a pass to not worry about stuff this year.

Here we are again at Monday.

All the best to you guys.

Love,
Donita

Hi Sue,
Lovely card today reminding of beautiful fall’s colors. It is all I like about autumn, the colors. Our fall is gone, we have snow and low temperature, and we expect more snow this week. Going back to today’s card … love the EF and all die sets you have used. Both, the Cascading Leaves and the Pinwheel Florals are on their way from UK. I cannot wait to get them.
No internet connection at home for the past 2 days. The crew worked on Saturday for an hour or two and left the building saying that they will be back … I didn’t see anybody yesterday so … we’ll see.

Elaine – Glad that Andrew managed to have his scan. Fingers crossed for a good result.
PP- I noticed your brief comments. Take care dear. Hope you’ll feel better soon. Any news about Laine?
Donita - I am glad you have heat now. Thanks for the tip.

Pat L. – When I read your today’s post my heart sank. Please pass deepest sympathy to Tracy’s family. They are all in my prayers. May she rest in peace.

Hugs to you all
