Typewriter Grid Alphabet

Welcome back crafters!  This post is dedicated to the Typewriter Grid Alphabet die set.  This set is unique in that it cuts out each letter as a debossed circle, but it also gives you the circle grid to fit them back into as well.  The lovely old fashioned typewriter look to it was  designed to work well with the Industrial Chic collection as well as holding it's own with any number of other die sets.  Shown here, I have used it as a background instead of an alphabet so you can see the versatility to it.  I would love to see your comments as well as allowing you a chance to win this wonderfully useful die set!  The last post of the day is at 3pm today.  All for now, Sue x

I learnt to type on an old-fashioned 'upright' typewriter - this die makes me nostalgic (only a little - I much prefer the modern keyboards!) - very useful indeed.

Ooh ello, we're getting closer to my needs I'm thinking. I just adore using your Art Deco alpha dies those little dots on them just scream and shout pearls. Used them on loads of my ordered cards to personalise or made CAS cards with plain old 'Thank You' so I know that this set will be more than valuable both for the frame and letters plus the added numbers too. They will be somewhere on my list but after what is to come ☺ I'll be flying high when my time comes πŸ˜†

Sending hugs. Lancashire (where I can see the hills of the Moors) xxx

Good afternoon lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a fabulous card, i will never tire of the retro chic look it is just so awesome and so totally different to your usual designs....it must have been really exciting and freeing for you to try something out of your own comfort zone Sue so i salute you for your bravery and commend you for the fabulous results!
I just adore all the elements to this card they have come together most beautifully, i love the old typewriter font although i am obviously far too young to remember it myself...making a mental note to ask Yvonne:-).....but it has a real vintage appeal and works so well with the retro theme you have established thus far. Bravo!

Great card and die Sue, wouldn't have thought of using it as a background though, very impressive.
I'm delighted with the launch so far, it has been really different to our usual but that's you all over Sue, shake us up every now and again.
Like many others I learned to type on an Imperial 66 model, that was well over 50 years ago. Still remember throwing that carriage over at the end of the row.
Thank you all for your supportive comments , you don't know how much you help me. The union rep can't make the time on Wednesday, prior appointment do it has to be changed, she had a face on when I told her, had to send her an email, she sits next to me , and waiting fir a rearrangement. John, my rep won't tell her where the guidance is until the meeting, lol. Sam you are a darling, thank you for commenting.
Helen have a good holiday, for those at the NEC have a fab time.

Hi Sue, This die set would be great for me !! I have been a Shorthand Typist for all my working life, I used a 'manual' typewriter (and you had to have very heavy pressure with your fingers), then the electric typewriter came into the workplace (it 'ran away with me' when I first tried the transition hahaha), and I used the electric typewriter right up until computers came into the workplace (I thought I would never get used to a computer as opposed to my typewriter, but within a week I had 'cracked it', and never looked back after that).
It is fabulous that you can also use as a background too, a fabulous set of dies.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Hi Sue and everyone

Love this. I saved up my pocket money to buy my first typewriter from Boots, my sister got some discount on it for me as she worked there. A few years later when I started work, I won a competition and vouchers for Argos, so I bought an electric one with two colours!! Did I think it was brill? In fact I have recently seen it when hubby emptied the lift. Still can’t bear to part with it, although I hate how ‘typed’ words look now compared to computer print. Sorry.....I’ve reminised too much.
This die will be a winner with many as it will be so useful.
