3D Window Box Card

Hi bloggers!  I think you are really going to like this one (I  know I do!)  The 3D Arched window/Door die set is just so versatile!  I have used it in this video to create a pretty window with shutters and a valance.  You will have to watch the video to see what embossing folder I used to give the wall the look of stucco too!

The winner of this week's Wednesday Card Giveaway is:

Pattyb!!!

Congratulations!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your card!

The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Beautiful stunning card Sue. Love it.
Congratulations to OattyB on winning the Wed card.
Marg hope you enjoyed your birthday yesterday, that must make you our Royal.
Sharon, I hope the scan happens soon, you must be so worried about the spinal lump, you are run down too from the prolonged illness.
Elaine, I will try later. I hope yesterday went well for Helen and Andrew, and he picks up so the treatment can resume.
Is Maureen home, I hope so. She has to take care.
CraftySuetoo, is it good news that the scan didn't show what they suspected, I hope Mum gets home today and is soon on the road to recovery.
Laine, I too hope you and Mum are well.
Couldn't get in to see doc but saw practice nurse. She wants me on anither 2 weeks antibiotics but the surgery in their wisdom had sent the prescription way over town to another pharmacy so I have to go for them today.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Hugs to all, our poorly and missing friends too.

Morning Sue. I'm counting down the minutes before the dog is walked and I can watch the tutorial in peace without being nudged for a stroke of the head or tummy tickle (dog not 'keeper' may I add) I have these, cut and ready but not inked just yet. There is a gorgeous sample on our fan based fb where each flower die has been patiently covered with a different slither of card it's amazing Sue. So I'm really looking forward to watching how you put this beautiful work of art together then hopefully I too can do this gorgeous collection of dies justice ☺ until then they remain cut in white laid out on my craft space until I can only hope my fingers will cope with any tricky bits and the knowledge and inspiration I get from you will end up in a card good enough to take to the next market for others to enjoy ☺ if I'm right, you've used the falling snow folder for the wall effect, it's one I use so much I love it.
Congratulations to Party on your adorable Wednesday win - enjoy.
Sending love n hugs your way as usual xx

Pam echoing your comments, sorry to hear your chest needs a second course of antibiotics and how typical they at the furthest away pharmacy! Now it shows your employer that you really aren't fit for work yet if you are on your second course but no doubt they wouldn't take that on board. Do look after yourself xxx
I seem to be the first of the gang of 9 in today so I can say that Maureen is finally home and was so pleased to have her own bed to sleep in, proper food, milky coffee, peace and quiet and best of all her lovely George and the family around. Hello Sue,
What a beautiful, pretty card today. It lifts the spirits just to see it.
Thank you lovely ladies for your kind hearted good wishes after my acrobatic performance on Northumberland Street in Newcastle. I collected quite a retinue of fans whilst lying on the ground waiting for an ambulance, but how lucky was I that the first person who stopped was a Doctor from the RVI who stayed with me and Mr K until the ambulance arrived. I was even covered by padded body warmers courtesy of the Sainsbury's shop, and two fleece throws and a gorgeous cushion from the Duty Manager in Primark.
I had the pleasure of having my clothes cut off me as I was on a spinal board, but have to say that I was treated royally with no waiting once I was in the hospital.
I am now the proud owner of TWO Zimmer frames!!! One for upstairs and one for down. Oh, it does my street cred no good but I can't use the arm crutches because of previous broken arms. I am fine and still enjoying life, although the butler can be a little slow with the coffee sometimes ha ha.
Thank you again, the gang kept me up to date and were quite excited when Pam mentioned me in dispatches at the top of the blog!! To be mentioned personally by Pam is such an honour, thank you!!!
I am extremely disappointed not to be able to join the Gang for the bi-annual meet up, but if I manage to fire up the red silk bloomer balloon I just might pop in on them ha ha.
Congratulations to Pattyb.

Hello Sue,
I've just watched the video! What a stunning card it's beautiful . Nice to have another choice for the backing wall apart from brick or stone!
I also love how you have given the appearance of a lighted window without any hassle! The fanlight though is very clever and I shall copy that! Did you know that the flowers from the window box fit behind one of the Shadow Box windows? I bet you did! I used it like like in a gardening card and was pleased with myself for using the Die in a different way! I do listen!!! The Spring foliage Dies are gorgeous, love them too! Thank you!
Well my Friend and sparring partner has returned. I did post last night after Maureen got home but it was quite late in the evening! Maureen please try to be good!! It's just lovely to have you back!

Good afternoon lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a totally charming design, the bonus being that we have a video demo of the process:-)
The arched window and associated accessories are just so cute and would be perfect for a New Home card or Christmas card with the matching stamp, i am so excited to try this one out, i think it will be really atmospheric. I spotted the Falling Snow EF straight away because it's one of my favourites, it really creates the look of pebble dash...a render that is very popular in Scotland.....and do I even have to say that I ADORE the little Calico cat peering in the window longingly:-)...I'd do one similar to Brodie but a Bengals colouring would be a little too challenging! An adorable card that I will happily emulate when I get back into my deserted craft room.
Sorry for my absence yesterday, i had a crazily busy day and by the time it ground to a halt i was so tired that computers were the furthest thing from my mind....I know, I hang my head in shame! I wasn't doing anything exciting as such, just a trip to M&S before I had a cheeky wash and blow dry at my favoured hair salon....it was super busy and i waited an hour before i was given a 'seeing to' , then, all pampered and preened i had to wait 40mins for a taxi to arrive...its amazing how all that hanging around can be more tiring than if you actuallly do something!
Elaine, first of all can i say sorry for not having offered you my kindest thoughts and prayers yesterday, I am so glad that the day went to plan and that Helen and Andrew coped with the strain. Yvonne texted me to ask that I pass on her love too....her router is acting up and she cant get online to do so herself. I hope that you are all well considering and take time out to be particularly kind to yourself this weekendxxx
Maureen my old mucker, welcome back! I was so cheered to see that not only are you back home in your own bed with the lovely George but you have also visited the blog for the first time in ages! Good to hear that you were well looked after during your ordeal but I do remember warning you that morning drinking of the hard stuff was only going to lead to trouble:-) Nevermind, that's all in the past and you definitely learned your lesson the hard way. I hear that you painted your nails tarty red for your homecoming, was George impressed or did the zimmer dampen his ardour?:-) So sorry that you cant go to the Summit of the Naughty Nine, you will be missed, after all who is going to put a sock in it when Myras gob runs away with itself? Take care my dear, huge hugs and please join us again soonxxx
Pam, thanks for thinking of me and my long suffering Mum, I am honoured to be part of your daily summary...now I know that I've really made it! How ridiculous that you have to trail across town for your antibiotics, what if you didn't have transport available? I''m quite annoyed by the attitude of your work, I don't think you should be back yet but the pressure they place on you is outrageous. I hope this batch of tablets does the trick though, take good care of yourselfxxx
Myra, oops, you noticed my absence yesterday so I didn't pass under the radar:-) Well I'm back as is the delightful Maureen so you will be one happy bunny today my dear.....are you packed for your trip yet? You must be getting pretty excited now, I just worry how the other ladies are going to keep you under control in Maureen's absence......i wonder if Saba remembered the rope and sock........:-)
Carmen, did you miss me? Need i ask, of course you did:-) i really feel for you not having stockists of Sues dies in Canada, how long does it take for Joanna Sheen to deliver? It must be agony waiting for the package to arrive, there should be a helpline for our overseas fans, somewhere to offer support and advice on how to cope with the frustration of waiting so long:-)
Hugs to my besties P, Frances, June, Pat, Theresa, Maria, Saba, Norah, Wheely,Lynda, Deb C, and all the ladies in need of a cuddlexxx

Yes, this is such a sweet card! And, yes, I did guess correctly about the embossing folder you used. When is snow not snow? -- When it is stucco! I now have this snow embossing folder. And I like that! Wishing you a terrific weekend!

Hello Sue,
Brilliant video, but then they always are. Such a pretty card, the window die, especially with its shutters makes such a lovely focal point. Clever use of the falling snow EB to recreate pebble dashing. Thank you Sue.

Pam I do hope this will be the last course of antibiotics for you, it's been a while now and you must be fed up with taking them.
Sharon good luck with the scan, you must be so worried, I hope you get good news when the results are finally back.
Congratulations PattyB on your win.
Laine worry not, the rope and sock are packed and ready to go. Hope your mum is recovered from her ordeal, do you have her results yet. Thank you for letting us know Yvonne is ok.
P Austen try contacting spellbinders, I did when my handle snapped and they kindly sent me a replacement free of charge.
Crewe Trish hope your brother is alright after his trip to Christies.
Well our Maureen is back in the fold, mind you how she will get into that red silk knicker hot air balloon is anyone's guess. We'll be scanning the skies at our meet up hoping to see her come floating by!
Love and hugs for all
Saba.

Hi Sue, my apologies for the lateness of the hour but it has been a busy day. I love, love, love this card but then I think you may have guessed that without me saying it. I am a lucky bunny and have all of the dies needed as well as the embossing folder (which I guessed correctly) to re-create this beautiful offering. I have already made several cards using the dies but not necessarily all on the same card; as Myra said the window box & flowers fit the shadow box dies perfectly and the little cat must have had kittens as they are appearing all over the place :D

Maureen - so good to see you back. You may have lost your clothes but it's good to see that your sense of humour is still intact :-)
Pattyb - Congratulations on being this week's Wednesday Winner, enjoy your lovely card.
Thinking of all poorly Wilsonettes and their families.

Hi Sue. WOW !!! What a beautiful card today !!! Your video is fab. I really love all the dies and details you have used on your card. The Little cat die in particular is Sooo cute !!! Your window box with the flowers is amazing Sue. Such a gorgeous card and dies. I guessed it was the falling snow Embossing Folder that was used for your background as I have this folder and used it for many Christmas cards but I will definately be using it for backgrounds on other cards to. Thank you for sharing. Lots of love to you Sue from Tres x x x

Congratulations to todays lucky Wednesday card giveaway winner love from Tres x x x

Lots of love to everyone from Tres x x x

Pretty card and helpful video. Sounds from all the comments as if that embossing folder is another one to add to my wish-book, along with the window-box accessories.

Sharon Casey, fingers crossed for your scan. Pam, hope this lot of antibiotics work. Maureen, glad to hear that you back home again. Congratulations to Pattyb on your card win.

Take care everyone.

Hi Sue,
What a beautiful card! Love these soft colors and all the details. The cat is so cute. Thank you so much for the video, I learn so much from watching you.

Congratulations to Patty on your card win.

Maureen - Welcome back! Sorry you're going to miss the meet up. Take care.
Pam - Sorry you’re having more antibiotics. Take care of yourself.
Maria – Hope more Canadians to join the blog, so far we are only two ... or maybe I am wrong!
Laine – It will take around 4 weeks to get the order. No need of a helpline. You are enough :)

Have a great Sunday ladies!
Still a newbie to Craft / not longer the newest, or the only Canadian Wilsonette
