Missing You

Hi crafters!  I am skipping around a bit, but here is a card that I made using the January release.  I started by cutting three of the Gemma die in wisteria card.  I overlapped them slightly and sort of hooked them together by interlocking the swirls from the longer side of the die (a sort of over and under method if that makes sense).  I glued them to a piece of coconut white card to create a background.  Next I cut the smaller die from the Cape Verde die set in wisteria and backed it with black.  I cut one more of the outlines in white and cut it down the centre to create a white shadow behind the focal element.   I stamped my sentiment in black and cut a frame for it using the Bermuda die set.  I glued it over it and trimmed away the excess and attached it in the centre of the card.   I tied a double bow out of some white silk ribbon ( from my stash) and added it below the sentiment with a pearl button accent.  The card was completed with white, black and wisteria mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8" in size.

Don't forget to scroll down to the previous blog post to see the list of  April die release winners!  Only about half of them have been claimed so far so there are more winners out there!!  All for now, Sue x

Happy Friday Sue, your card is gorgeous. Love it.
You have so many happy bloggers from the die giveaway yesterday, your generosity knows no bounds. Those of us who were not lucky this time would all agree that we win every day with your daily card posting, and fir that I am very happy.
Rosemary, welcome to the blog. No I am a Wilsonette just like you, oh that I was so lucky to work with Sue, but I don't that the talent for that I'm afraid.
Hazel, thank you for the link to the photos of the lovely Gang if Nine, this time minus Maureen, it is lovely to put faces to names, what a smashing bunch you are.
Elaine, how did Andrew get on, he was there early so I hope his treatment went ahead, how are you my dear, you have also been through a traumatic time, please take care.
Rosemarie, are you still doing your Hapoy dance on winning a die, enjoy.
Maureen, it was lovely that you had Diane visit, you may have missed the meet up but they certainly missed you too.
My daily hugs to all, especially our missing and poorly friends, Carers too.

Congratulations to all the lucky die winners but we all win every day with your stunning card creations. Lovely card, Sue, clever use of the Gemini die and pretty gentle colour choice.
Great to see some familiar names among the winners (Yorkie Girl, Michelle, Vie, Helen etc) and many newbies too. Well done. everyone. Always appreciative of your generosity, Sue, so thank you again.
Hazel, thanks for posting the pictures - you look a right hungry bunch with napkins still unfurled. Maybe as well to show photos before rather than after the wine was poured!!
Echoing Pam, as ever.

Hi Pam I'm sure you have a lot of talent, everyone has their own favourite colours/ dies etc. I know I do. One of my favourite colours is the Wisteria. It was a colour my beautiful mum liked, she passed away recently from a brain tumour and jaw csncer, my father, gran, auntie all also died from cancer and myself and my uncle are fighting it now. Finding Sue and card crafting has so helped me. Takes my mind off things. I'm not that good yet but learning every day love xx

Laine I'm so glad you spotted the empty wine bottle in front of Myra, my reputation is safe. She took a photo of me with 4 glasses of wine and an empty bottle, I was only pouring and passing! Xxx
Sue I hope you don't mind me giving you an update on the lovely Maureen, and I know Maureen won't mind. It was so good to see Maureen and George yesterday and to see for myself they were both doing ok. Maureen is her usual cheery cheeky self, comfortable but obviously in pain especially using the stairs. The lovely George was glad of a bit of a rest as Maureen was entertained and he could sit for a while between the coffee runs. They really are a very special couple who are so kind and gentle. I met their daughter too which was great as I've heard so much about her and she was a star dropping me at the metro as I had told George he wasn't to leave Maureen to drop me at the airport for my late flight home. I think I would win the late to breakfast star thus morning as I'm still in my pjs!!

Gorgeous card as always Sue. Can't believe that only half the dies have been claimed although by now I'm sure the others will have been too. Very busy day which is why I'm so late commenting.
Thoughts and prayers to all.

A very pretty card today. I met my friend Judy for lunch today. She is so thrilled to be the winner of your Stainglass Hummingbird die. You could not have made her happier. I had already ordered this die, so now we both will have one! We will have to have a contest on making a card with this die.
