Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi bloggers!  Today's giveaway card was one of my demos on my shows in February.  I started with a piece of vintage gold card and used the Lyra die (which will be back in stock this week!) and cut it at the bottom of one piece of the card and at the top of the other piece of the card.   I added mounting foam to both pieces to raise them for dimensions.  Using a piece of taupe card, I embossed it with the Bed of Roses embossing folder.  I added some detail by rubbing the pattern with Enchanted Gold gilding wax.  You can see this better in the close up pics below.  I mounted the two die cut pieces of gold card on top, leaving a gap creating a channel.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the inside die from the New York background.  I added a gold mat with the larger die from the background. Using the Camellia complete petal, I made two flowers to add to my sentiment.  I cut some Mosaic Leaves out of taupe and gold card to add to my floral element.  Three flatback cream pearls were added in the upper corner before adding my pierced taupe mat.  A thin gold mat then a wider taupe mat completed the card.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8 1/4" in size.  If you would like to be included in the drawing to win this one, just leave me a comment.  The winner won't be announced until Monday this week, however, as I will be away at the Ally Pally show all weekend.  All for now, Sue x
