Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi crafters!  I have chosen the demo card with the paper grouting technique as this week's card giveaway.  I used a piece of vintage silver card and embossed it with the Bed Of Roses embossing folder.  Next I used the Polar White Sparkle Texture paste and a plastic palette knife and spread it into the lines from the embossing to effectively "grout" them.  You need to allow it to dry well (I always leave them overnight myself).  I ran a bead of Cosmic Shimmer  dries clear glue all the way around the edge of the piece and coated it with Iced Snow.  This dries very quickly, ten minutes at most.  Next I cut four of the Madison Square in coconut white card, using the inner square as well to create frames out of all of them.  I off set two of them and glued them together, then did the other two the same way.  Then I glued each of them together, offsetting them once again to create  an almost round shape from all the squares!  I added them with mounting foam to my background.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it into a forked strip and matted it with silver card.  I mounted it across my focal element and added a white satin ribbon bow, some silver twine, Mosaic Leaves and a pretty flower made from my Complete Petal Camellia.  I "sugared" it with Iced Snow too.  I finished the card with a white pierced mat, a thin silver mat and a wider white mat.  The finished dimensions are
7 1/4" x  7 1/4" in size.  If you would like to be included in the drawing to win this one, just leave me a comment and check back on Saturday's post for the winner's name to be announced.

I am doing the POTD shows today at 12 (on Create and Craft), 1pm  (on Ideal World), 3pm (on Create and Craft), 5pm (on Create and Craft) and 7pm (on Ideal World).  John Lockwood will be doing the 8am, 10am and 4pm shows on Ideal World too.  Please tune in to see all the great demos we have planned!  All for now, Sue x

Hi, Sue this is a gorgeous card. This rose EF is on my list as it gives such a fabulous, deep emboss.
As I'm away, sadly, I haven't been able to record your shows, but have tried to watch them via the web. I sent an email in for the 3pm show, but don't think it was read out. No change there.......... :-(
I did order some more Die sets though, as I had a voucher to use by April 28th.

Hope everyone is still enjoying some lovely weather.
Take care all,

Hugs, Angela, in hot and sunny, Dubai Xx

Lovely card. I still haven't tried this sort of grouting. Only six more recorded shows to catch up with! Picked up some great tips from John's show this morning.
Take care everyone.

After seeing this card and the way you used the Madison Square, I just had to try it. I used lavender and cream card stock, and the card turned out great. Thanks for the idea of using 4 to make the circle. I truly appreciate your creative juices. I am making cards for our "Relay for Life" (fighting and surviving cancer) and plan on putting this card in my bundle of cards for the survivors.
