Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello all!  It's triple stamping for today's giveaway card.  I have done this technique so many times and it just never fails to make me say wow!  I started with some light purple card and cut it into three slightly rectangular pieces in descending sizes.  You can make these layers any size you like, just keep about a half an inch or slightly more between them.  You will also need to cut corresponding black mats to fit them all.  However, first put all three pieces of card together with a small piece of sticky tape in the centre to keep them in place.  I stamped them with the Wrought Iron stamp using a black archival ink pad.  Catch several of the layers at once when you stamp it so you will be able to follow the pattern from layer to layer.  Next take them apart and add the black mats and reassemble with mounting foam to raise each of the layers.  Your eye will complete the pattern where the black mat covers the void in the stamping.  For the focal element, I stamped the Wrought Iron stamp in black on white card and cut it out with the Oslo die.  I used Dusty Concord ink while it was still in the die to add some highlights to the white die cut too.  I cut a matching backing piece in purple and glued them together.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it into a strip, highlighted the edge with Dusty Concord ink and gave it a matching black mat.  I mounted it across my die cut and made a two tone Camellia to match which I seated on the end of the strip with a black jute twine bow.  I cut several of the Mosaic Leaves in white and tucked them around the flower.  I finished the card with my usual paper pierced mat, then a thin purple and thin black mat and a final white mat.  Flatback pearls were added as a final touch.  The finished dimensions are 7" x 7 1/2" in size.  Leave me a comment if you would like to be entered into the drawing to win this one.  Don't forget that the winner won't be announced for a couple of weeks though.  All for now, Sue x

Gosh! I love this card. I can see why you say it never fails to wow you.

I want to say I had a big surprise today when I got home from work. An unexpected package. A stamp set from you. I had forgotten about it. Alas I don't have time until the weekend to play with it, but I love it. Thank you so much for it and all your ideas.

This card is perfect for this time of year. The colors are stunning and the design reminds me of New Orleans and Mardi Gras. Springtime, Lent, and Easter are almost here- add a cross and this card would be so appropriate for these occasions. Thanks for sharing, hope you are enjoying your vacation. Gail

Sorry I am so late tonight but this is the first chance I have had to get in here. Went to Feacture clinic today and had the plaster cast off. Now have a splint and need to exercise and have physio. Wow Sue your card is gorgeous. My colour. A stamp to look for at Ally Pally. Must have a go at this when there is more strength in my wrist. Tried stamping yesterday but didn't go well.

Hi Sue. I love this card !! Fab colours you have used to. I do love your Tripple stamping cards. I keep saying I am going to try this technique. I really must just "go" for it !! The stamp you have used is beautiful, and to finish you have used the Gorgeous Camelia Flower dies which I really need to get my hands on !! Thank you for sharing this beautiful card today. I have just finished making a card using your "inlaid technique" and I have really enjoyed doing it !! It is a bit time consuming to do but the results are brilliant and I personally found it very calming and therapeutic !! It is a real "labour of love" !!
Sending you lots of love and hugs today Sue. I hope you are enjoying your holiday love from Tres x x x
