Square Diamonds

Hello crafters!  Don't forget you can use your dies to emboss with to add a bit of detail to your backgrounds.  Squares also make pretty shapes when used in a diamond orientation.  I hope you will enjoy today's video card.

Good morning Sue another beautiful card the square does look different when you turn it to a diamond. It is also useful to turn a die into an embossing die something I haven't done but will be doing so. Thanks Yvonne xx

That rose is so realistic. I particularly like how you have detail even around the inner and outer edges of your dies. The pierced lines and de bossed detail really finish the look. Gorgeous! Thanks Sue. Big hug.

Day off today Yay! But I must use it to start doing some de cluttering Boo! It's meant that I can watch video first It's great I forget to just emboss only and brilliant tip to leave a die cut in the die I just need to work out how to stop the cracking when using a folder I think I need to be a bit more patient and spritz the card folder with water but that means waiting for the card to dry! The card is lovely and in my favourite colours I just love how you say the word mauve too

Morning Sue
Another enchanting gift to start a very wintry day here - yes we have a slight covering of snow this morning. I thing Madam Spring has retired to her bed for a 'sleep in' at the moment.
Some of the simplest things make such a difference don't they. I have never thought of using one of your gorgeous squares cut in half to make a fantastic border but I shall in future. Again white/white with that little lavender piece is so gentle and loving and therefore just hits the right spot with me.
I hope that you are feeling somewhat better this morning. Take care.

Sandra - So pleased to hear that you took Pat for a trip out yesterday I only hope that the garden centre is still in one piece after the visit of 'the Three Graces' !!
Saba - I hope you had a good journey yesterday and that you are now back nicely tucked in with your family.

To all under the weather and suffering I hope you're better day by day.
To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

What a beautiful fresh looking gift today, I think this set of square dies could be the prettiest of their kind, I dont have all of the square dies, but who knows what the Easter bunny will leave (not coccie thats for sure) : )
Today I have another order to do, I will call it my emboss Thursday to remind myself we dont have to always cut with our wonderful SW dies, and without your video tutorials and daily inspiration, I for one would get stuck in the cut only way of life ! So thank you for the kick up the as a reminder lol.
Gail, Sheila, Theresa, Alison, Alimecca plus our other Wilsonettes that dont feel well, or are finding life a struggle, my basket of comforting cuddles is full for you to help yourselves, if only a virtual cuddle could really help Id be one very happy lady.
As for that little 10wk bundle of naughty funny energy, when the pup flops you craft lol but do something quiet so he doesn't wake up and steel your toys, watch those twitching dreaming paws, he's probably thinking of running off with your best dies to bury them!! Is he full of glitter and guilding flakes yet ?
Sending love and hugs to all here.

Good morning Sue and the wonderful wilsonettes,
Sue, i just love the colours of todays card as the Lilac against the Milk coloured card just looks so pretty and feminine but is so soft and pretty. If my beloved Auntie Katie was still alive she would have adored this beauty today as lilac was her favourite colour and she loved pretty things but the hat pins would be out of the card and used as they were intended by her. She never went out the door without a hat to match her outfit and a hat pin in to keep it on supposedly but i think unless you have a bun or your hair up in some way with kirby grips, i honestly don't know how these things would have kept hats on their heads. Are you feeling a bit better as the days from your break away from everything was supposed to do you the world of good, not bring you down ill. I do so hope that you are coming back to your usual chirpy self even if it is slowly dear friend. Slowly and gently is the call for the now ok? Sending you some hugs just to let you know that you are being thought about so much by your Wilsonettes.
You know that is me just got a delivery from Ideal World/Create and Craft and i am truly fed up with the disgusting parcels that i am getting and that is the state they are sent out in as they have put the burst and battered products into a burst and tatty bag and encased it in a polythene one to keep it all together. Is it just me that keeps getting parcels like this or does anyone else get these deliveries as well? Sorry just miffed as it seems to be this is happening to me all too regularly. I have to wait long enough for the parcels to get sent out, not to receive but sent and then what comes is a dogs dinner, in fact Tia's dinner looks more appetizing than them.
Gail, i'm sending your lovely hubby some hugs flower because i think that he could be doing with some. I can remember my beloved daddy changing beyond all recognition as he was in so much pain with the bladder cancer that they could do nothing for by the time 10 months later they started doing tests on him. He only lasted another few weeks and poor mum was run ragged as she couldn't get any help from anyone for him. MacMillian told her they only advise and give monetary help with phone bills and heating, so i do not wish that pain on anyone.
Anyway i will leave you all now with hugs of all shapes sizes and strengths for whatever you could do with one for and take care
love and crafty hugs

Hi Sue, I can't believe how late it is before I am commenting. I popped in early this morning and said 'WOW' but didn't have time to watch the video. Have just caught up and I am still saying 'WOW'. A beautiful card in my favourite colours.

I hope you are doing as you are told and resting up so you can improve every day.

Alison, glad things are improving for you, and Auntie will be so much happier in her own home.

Hi Sue
Another stunning & pretty card..
Lovely soft colours & Love the embossing technique which looks amazing, must try that....

Love the way you have used square & diamond topper orientations which looks so pretty & together with your pretty stick pin, rose & ribbon the finished card is gorgeous.
