Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello all!  It's triple stamping for today's giveaway card.  I have done this technique so many times and it just never fails to make me say wow!  I started with some light purple card and cut it into three slightly rectangular pieces in descending sizes.  You can make these layers any size you like, just keep about a half an inch or slightly more between them.  You will also need to cut corresponding black mats to fit them all.  However, first put all three pieces of card together with a small piece of sticky tape in the centre to keep them in place.  I stamped them with the Wrought Iron stamp using a black archival ink pad.  Catch several of the layers at once when you stamp it so you will be able to follow the pattern from layer to layer.  Next take them apart and add the black mats and reassemble with mounting foam to raise each of the layers.  Your eye will complete the pattern where the black mat covers the void in the stamping.  For the focal element, I stamped the Wrought Iron stamp in black on white card and cut it out with the Oslo die.  I used Dusty Concord ink while it was still in the die to add some highlights to the white die cut too.  I cut a matching backing piece in purple and glued them together.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it into a strip, highlighted the edge with Dusty Concord ink and gave it a matching black mat.  I mounted it across my die cut and made a two tone Camellia to match which I seated on the end of the strip with a black jute twine bow.  I cut several of the Mosaic Leaves in white and tucked them around the flower.  I finished the card with my usual paper pierced mat, then a thin purple and thin black mat and a final white mat.  Flatback pearls were added as a final touch.  The finished dimensions are 7" x 7 1/2" in size.  Leave me a comment if you would like to be entered into the drawing to win this one.  Don't forget that the winner won't be announced for a couple of weeks though.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes that visit and comment this Wednesday.
I love this stamp, and its not one I have as yet but on my list to order today, how weird is that ?! It makes for a lovely triple stamping effect, but there again dont all your stamps lend themselves for this technique.
The colour's you chose for this card just help show up the beautiful pattern of the wrought iron swirls, the beautiful shade of purple and black - very classie. Good luck to you all, it will be a very lucky person that is chosen to receive this W. O. W.
Spent the past few days cutting your various flower dies both open and closed petal dies that I have to take into hospital with me today, after all, the doctor's can sort out quite a few aches and pains etc but there is NO medicine for craft withdrawl symptoms lol so I wont be able to look in or leave a comment for the next week or so, but dear Mr Lancashire will be logging in as there is no reason for your daily figure's to drop by one when there is a way round it - right ? : )

Today Im hoping that Sue's surgery went well yesterday and am thinking of you Sue when you look back to catch up when you feel able. To all our friends out there in Particraft world that dont feel well today, my basket is full and over flowing with caring gentle hugs, help yourself.
Finally, have a wonderful holiday Sue, kick back, chillax and make memories, that note pad and pencil will be fine left alone on your bedside table lol.
Sending love to you Sue and all Wilsonettes.

Do like this technique, Sue, haven't tried it yet as a bit duff at stamping but must practice more!
Lovely card with the nice finishing touch of the camellia.

Know you won't be reading this as you are 'out of touch' but imagining you with no cooking or housework (brilliant!) no craft - well, a bit harder, just have to bear with it. ONLY loads of relaxation, food, drink and wonderful sights to see. Oooh, talking myself into a cruise almost - but no, too many animals so haven't had a break (except two days in hospital) for about 38 years!! And happy with it.

'P' in Wales where life is a permanent holiday!

Steph -hope hospital goes well. Will be thinking of you.

This is definitely a WOW card for me too. At first glance they always look very intricate, and when you look again you realize how simply the layers interlock.
Steph, I wish you love & hugs during your stay in hospital, glad to see you're not taking your cutting machine with you. I don't think they would be impressed with all those pesky fallout pieces.
Hugs to all blog friends who are not feeling too good today. As ever gentle healing hugs winging their way to you.

Morning Sue
Today's gift is so cleverly done and it's one that I've never tried but really must get round to doing so. I love your colours for today. For me they are always a very classic combination.
As always my SW space is dusted off and waiting - fingers crossed lol.

Steph - good luck my lovely friend. As you say there isn't anything to combat 'craft withdrawal' so I hope you have all you need to see you through your stay. Please know that I'll be with you in spirit every day and sending those precious hugs on a daily basis.
Sheila- there are not enough words to say how sorry I am to hear your devastating news. Both you and Nikki are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am determined to have a calmer day today. I know it seems silly but as I said yesterday I always worry about not having cut enough etc for my K&N but yesterday just went on and on. The card I had done for my demo was a Teal and Cream creation using Sue's new Noble Rectangle dressed with a glittered Rose in the middle supported by swirls etc and finished off with one of Sue's bows - lattice. Now compaints are made when I do something that is considered 'difficult' so I thought I was on track yesterday but no this time it was 'too easy'. Sometimes I just want to slam a door! I know you cannot please everyone all the time but I was not on top of the world and that just finished my off. Sorry rant over.

To all in pain or suffering I hope things get better soon. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Steph thinking of you.
Alison, (Alimecca) glad to hear your aunt is improving.

Janet, (ecco) Just a suggestion but take in the card you made, give them all the pieces they need and then tell them to design their own. I did that at my knit and natter group they looked horrified, as none of them were crafters, but when I said there are no rules in crafting they went on to make beautiful cards and everyone was different. I took more embellishments if they wanted them, One lady was so pleased with hers she gave it to a friend for her birthday.
It would take some pressure off you.
Well have appt for surgeon tomorrow to see if he can help with my shoulder.
Hugs to everyone.Love Theresa xx

Lesley S - yes I have trouble with bloglovin (in fact to-day no post from them!). However there is an 'X' top right hand side of notification & if I click on thet it allows me to post comment. Otherwise I have same problem as you!

Hi Sue,
I just ADORE this technique although I've yet to be brave enough to try it out myself lol. The colours you've chosen for this card are beautiful and there's one of my favourite flowers to finish it all off with. As always, thanks for sharing with us. x

Good afternoon Sue and the fabulous Wilsonettes,
I am going to give this technique a try as I think that given the right combination for me it could make a stunning wedding card as it reminds me of a tiered wedding cake so has started the brain swirling around with possiblities. Thank you Sue for igniting that little flame in me again.
Steph flower, wishing you all the very best, you will come out recharged and full of vim and vigour but please don't do too much as we don't want to undo the good that the infusion will do you.
Mrs B - Sue, i hope that you have got over yesterdays ordeal and that very soon you will be feeling the good effects from the op on that shoulder. Now you will need to tell hubby that you need an electric die cutting machine as you can't work the handle of the GC for long enough as it will undo all that was sorted. Have i given you enough of an excuse to get a much deserved some singing and dancing machine and will he take the hint and not just say "Oh i'll cut them out for you love"? sending hugs your way anyway flower just because i'm thinking off you.
Sheila - Ginger, words can not express the heartbreak i know is in your heart at this time. Losing your rock when you still need them is such a hard blow. I can only pass on my love to you and Nikki, who is going to find it strange her daddy not being there for her. I am sending you my thoughts, love and prayers dear friend and can only say that i wish i could do some good for you, i am so so sorry for your loss. Hugs to wrap around you.
Alison, sending gentle hugs to your lovely wee auntie who could do with a cuddle i think the now just because. I hope that she picks back up again soon flower.
Right that's me knackered now(which isn't taking much at the moment) so i will see you all tomorrow hopefully
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (glenochil)

Lovely in lavender. I like anything in shades of purple! This card reminds me of the wrought iron gates on St Charles Street in New Orleans, USA. Such art.

Hi Sue, this is a really beautiful card. I love the triple stamping technique and it never fails to amaze me how the optical illusion really does work. Anyone who hasn't tried it yet really should because it is simple and fun to do with impressive results.

Steph - hope your stay in hospital is at least bearable.
Alison - glad your aunt is a little better.
Theresa (TOB) - hope you get some joy from the surgeon tomorrow.
Frances

Love this card and I think its unusual appearance the stamping and layering is so effective. This one is busy (not my usual) but in a totally different way and for some reason it really appeals to me. Beautiful colour combo as well, along with one of your stunning flowers.
