Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello there my crafty friends!  If you would like to be entered into the drawing to win this demo card from my Feb. shows, just leave me a comment on the post.  The winner for this card and the previous two weeks will be announced on Saturday's blog post.  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Crosstitch Pinpoint Embossing folder for some textural goodness.  Next I cut the Scandinavian Background in white and left a wide border on it.  I cut it in half through the centre and trimmed it down to make a smaller squarish piece.  I taped it back together and added mounting foam to the back and adhered it to my embossed background.  I cut a Scandinavian border in white and glued it across the join line.  Next I cut the Oslo die in white and used Shaded Lilac distress ink while it was still in the die.  I did two of these exactly the same way and off set them.  I added them to the centre of the card.  I stamped my sentiment in black and cut it out with the Copenhagen die set.  I inked it with Shaded Lilac also and mounted it in the centre of the card.  I added three small flatback white pearls below the sentiment.  I tied a double bow from the white satin ribbon and added a flower made from the Camellia Complete petal die set.  I edged the tips of the flower with Shaded Lilac and then "sugared" it with Iced Snow.  I added it to my bow and placed several pieces of Mosaic leaves around it.  I finished the card with my usual pierced white mat, then I inked the edge of another piece of card with Shaded Lilac to create a thin matching mat and a final white mat finished it off.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Love the card Sue as always, I'm never disappointed with any of your cards. This one is stunning.
Robbie was 21 last Thursday, he is walking a little with the aid of a wheeled walker frame. He has some feeling in one leg but none in the other yet so tends to drag his foot, but such amazing progress after his terrible accident last June. For his birthday, his dad took him out in the car which is automatic and he had his first drive since the accident. George said he did really well. Now they are going to change his car for an SUV which will take a wheelchair. He is one amazing young guy and we are all so proud of him and his determination.
Hugs to all x

Morning Sue
Today's gift is just so elegant and has all the qualities to fit any occasion. Again this gift just shows how gorgeous white/white and just a little hint of colour really is. As usual my SW space is ready and waiting.

Sue I see you're only 5 away from hitting 5300! Wouldn't that be fantastic to greet Sue back from her much deserved R&R.

Pam - what fantastic news on the Robbie front. As you so rightly say he certainly is one amazing young man. Everyone should and are so proud of him.
Steph - it's lovely to have you back.

Had a nice K&N yesterday afternoon. The demo was a Stepper Card with no complaints this week. I shall miss the next two as I'll be in France. I shall also miss Sue's week-end on C&C as that's the week-end we come back.

It's to be a craft tidy up day today (hopefully) unless I get waylaid as it seems to be the case whenever I start to tidy up.

To all in pain or suffering in any way I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Hi Sue, a beautiful card. I have all the Scandinavian dies, apart from The Oslo, unfortunately. This one is on my list !! To echo a previous comment, ' Who wouldn't want to win this card'? :- )
Hope you enjoyed The Fjiords X

Pam, great news about Robbie. So glad he's continuing to improve little by little, and Belated Birthday Wishes to him for his 21st last Thursday xx

Hope everyone's seeing some sun today.
Hugs and Best Wishes to you all,

Angela in sunny S. Wales Xx

Another stunner Sue. How do you keep coming up with them day after day? Your camellia flowers are so pretty and I love the touch of blue on the white card. Just gorgeous. Hugs x Pauline A

Love the touch of lilac on this otherwise white card. The Cross Stitch Pinpoint Embossing gives a fab textured background - one of my favourites.

Hi Sue,
Beautiful card, love the hints of lilac you have used on your camellia flower and focal elements. Turning the Scandinavian background die into a square is a very clever idea and one I shall definitely try and shall pin to my newest Pinterest board of all your snipping ideas, otherwise I shall forget!! Thank you.

Pam, fantastic news, Robbie is a brave young man and is an inspiration. Please give him my congratulations and belated happy birthday wishes.
Lynda, hope your tummy upset has settled down now.

Love, hugs and good luck to all in the draw.

What a pretty card and I just love the blue and white, so soft and gentle looking, and what a lovely card to send to a very dear friend, particularly if one is not feeling so good. Thank you once again for the chance to win this beautiful card

Hi to Sue and her Wilsonettes ,

What a fantabulous card, The Scandinavian collection is by far my favourite at the moment, I just love the intricacy and versatility it gives and it goes without saying that the white on white effect with a hint of colour offsets it's sophisticated elegance beautifully.
I am lucky enough to have these dies which I purchased during your recent shows, but I would still love to win one of your creations because they are a work of art that would take pride of place framed in my craft room.
There is such competition from many deserving enthusiasts though and being a newbie to commenting
I hold little hope.
However Sue, you totally deserve to be praised for your talents in both Cardmaking and designing and I don't know what I would have done without my daily fix when I was too ill to make any of my own!
Enjoy your break and We are all counting down the days to your next shows#withdrawelsxxxxx

Fab card for this weekly give away and anyone would love the chance to win this one. Lots of layers but doesn't look too busy and as usual your choice of colours is stunning.

Hope you had a good trip and look forward to seeing your next round of shows on C&C in April

P.S Love the stick pins and gems and have had a great time playing with them. It was definitely worth the 3yr wait to get the right items together!!!
