Bargello Technique

Hi bloggers!  I just love this technique.  It was on the Stamping My Style video that I did years ago in fact.  It is a rather short video (by my standards at least! LOL)  I hope you can take a few minutes to sit and enjoy it!

Buy from Joanna Sheen

The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue, Pam and all Wilsonettes, a lovely card today, the technique is enjoyable to do, time consuming but turns out really lovely, I think the secret is the accurate measuring of the strips, I have made 3 cards using this technique. Hope your resting up Sue.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

You have used some of my favourite techniques this week so I have lots to try. I have loved all of the cards and todays is another gorgeous one, I love this technique, deciding on which colours and pattern is great fun : )
I am so glad to hear that you are going to have a real break away from your computer, I hope you have a wonderful time. It would be lovely to see some photos when you get back : )

GM Sue. Great card and fab video although I notice you are wearing a plain brown top and not your trademark patterned ones. A change of style perhaps? Hope you don't mind me commenting on this, no offence intended obviously, but I don't think I've ever seen you wearing a non patterned top before in all the years I have followed you! Anyway, hope you are having a restful holiday.

Hi Sue, great card, forgotten about this technique. Will have to look at your dvd again for more inspiration. Lol lynne m x x x

Fur babies safely curled up on the settees after being scared silly by a large dog charging at them over the park this morning. Tilly barked and barked and ran round and round me , so grabbed her collar to put her lead back on, but unable to find Cully. My heart was in my mouth as a main road was close by with our house on the other side. Guardian angels were looking down as found Cully cowering between several trees. Called her and thank goodness she came running to me even though the large dog was still around. Got them home just in time cuz my legs started to shake. Gave them some crunchy dog bickies as a treat, calming down now but I know it will take awhile before I can get over what could have happened to Cully.

To all in pain or need my devious divas send oodles and oodles of muddy paw hugs x x x

A lovely card and an informative helpful video. feeding the card through the reverse side of the guillotine ensuring the strips were even was a lightbulb moment for me, but a bit scary watching it - there was no finger guard - but held on to the thought that you wouldn't show it if it all ended badly lol. Beautiful card, Sue. I made a similar card using lavender, purple, turquoise, teal and gray. I used a 1", 3/4", 1/2", 1/4" stripes. Made up beautiful. My strips weren't the best cut so they didn't match up perfectly like yours. It would probably be easier if they were all the same width. I'll have to try using all the same width.
