Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi guys!  It feels like absolutely ages since I had a card giveaway,  doesn't it!  Well it is about time for one and I have chosen this card for today's giveaway.  If you would like to be entered in the drawing to win it, just leave a comment on the blog (directions are on the right hand side of the blog if you have never done it before).  I started with a piece of coconut white card and embossed it with the Pinpoint Checkerboard embossing folder (just love this one!)  Next I went to work on making my flowers.  I selected a couple of shades of purples, both light and dark and used the Delicate Daisies Complete petal die set to cut a bunch of different sizes and in both of the colours.  Using the Delicate Daisy Open Petal die set, I cut the corresponding sizes out of coconut white card.  I glued the open petal dies atop the closed petal dies, then used two of each size in an offset manner to make each flower.  I added an 8mm white flatback pearl to the centres of each flower.  I arranged the flowers in a wreath style and glued them into place.  I cut several of the Faux Quilled leaves and added them around the flowers in several spots.  I stamped my sentiment (from the Cr. Exp. Bold Sentiment stamp set) in black and cut it into a forked end strip.  I mounted it across the inside of the wreath and added a mauve seam binding messy bow to the left side, covering the end of the strip.  I added a final flower on top of the bow and made two matching stick pins as embellishments.  I completed the card by piercing the edge of a white mat, then adding a thin purple mat and a final white mat.  The finished dimensions on the card are 8" x  8" in size.  Don't forget to check back on Saturday's post to see if your name was drawn as the winner of this one!

I still haven't heard from two of the die winners, caroljsmith and Rach 83, so please email me to claim your die if you see this!  All for now, Sue x

Beautiful card, love the wreath of flowers, could be done in so many colours. Lynne m x x

To all my friends here on the blog apologies that it has taken so long to come back. The stress of everything took its toll and it was very hard to see that all could be well again. I am getting better every day now and even have taken up crafting again!!!.

The devious divas have been busy getting up to their usual mischief which includes becoming cushion crusher masters- they stand on their hind legs on the settees pull the cushions down with their front paws, nudge them with their noses, go round and round on them , then suddenly plonk themselves down. I think part of their makeup comes from a cat. One cushion didn't make it and had to be consigned to the dustbin and another is on its
its last legs. As well as that they have invented a new game called "don't touch the floor" , it consists of chasing each other by jumping from settee-stool-settee without putting their paws on the floor. Thought I would put a stop to this by rearranging the furniture but with my two this had little effect as it seemed they employed booster rockets on their legs when required to span the extra space. Little b's I swear grin at me when they do this. They I am sure will never behave like ladies , they will always be ragamuffins, who of course ensure when hubby is around they act like little princesses.

June & Lynn, Lindsay, Lynda, Karen, Maria, Norah, Alison, Steph, Maureen, Tres, Barbara & Ben, Myra, Pam, Sheila, Sandra and anyone I have missed - thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there sending me love and hugs, it kept me going on my darkest days , you are all truly special ladies with hearts of gold.

To all hope your day is filled with sunshine even if it is raining outside.

Sue - bless you for caring x x x

Lol and oodles n oodles of hugs

Hi Sue from a very wet Lancashire (well it is at the moment) whilst your sleeping - or dreaming creative dreams lol.
I have to say that I love love love my daisy dies, both of them, I just love how you can place the delicate open petal over the complete petal, it means so many colour mixes.
Dearest Pam, its so lovely to see you as our '6am Pam' but dont rush things, you will know when life is picking up slightly for you.
Its no wonder your BP was raised Nana, try and take some deep relaxing breaths whilst waiting at the surgery, stress can make it go through the roof.
To our dear friends that dont feel so well, I hope you feel a little better as the day goes on.
To all walking through the door of the best blog ever today, good luck for the draw of this W. O. W and to those still not realising they are lucky winners - your name is up in lights ladies, dont loose your wonderful prize !!
Love n hugs to all.

Who wouldn't want to receive a gift like this. It's so so gorgeous. I love your colours for today and have to say that I no longer use any other flowers these days but yours. They are so beautiful and work every time. This has certainly started my day off with a smile and is already in my 'must do' file.
I make batches of flowers when my mojo goes on holiday and so I always have a good supply of them. They also use up lots of my little bits of paper/card I just cannot throw away.

Pam - please remember those baby steps and one day at a time. All will become well in it's own time. Just a little patience is needed from you. hugs.
Lynne M - so pleased to see you this morning. No apologies needed. Your lovely little Divas certainly keep you on your toes but aren't they gorgeous.
Sandra - hope you three had a really good day yesterday.

Definitely a crafting day for me. Have so much to finish off and that horrible thing called 'time' is passing so quickly. So to all who are under the weather for whatever reason hope you feel better soon. To all take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Hi Sue,
Absolutely stunning and beautiful. I also am a big fan of this embossing folder, it's a real go to one. The whole card would certainly cheer anyone up especially if not feeling well. The flowers are really pretty, but as I haven't got these I could use your new camellia ones.
Pam great to see you but please take it steady. Lynne what a treat to see you back and like I said to Pam, just take it nice and easy. Pleased to see the pesky ones are still up to mischief - I had a bit of a giggle this morning at their antics! It reminded me of playing " pirates" at school with the kids at the end of term in the gym ( before health and safety went crackers). They used to love it ! Nana Tina, sorry about your BP - if it's any consolation when I went for my pre op before my knee replacement op, mine was off the scale! After 8 attempts with the electronic machine, they used the old method and it was just in the correct range even though still high and they still did my op! Love and hugs to everyone especially those in pain or down. Love Alison xxx

Gorgeous card. Love the daisies. I have the open petal daisies but not the full ones as budget wouldn't stretch, but wanted a colour to show through, so, this is what I did. I cut out the open petal daisy in the colour I wanted then deeply Embossed the daisy die onto the coloured card I wanted then cut it out, hey presto I now have a closed daisy as well. Gave my list of Sues dies to Santa, after I put smelling salts to his nose to wake him from passing out with the shock of how long the list was, he sighed and I swear I heard his credit card cry but then again I might be mistaken.(lol)

Good morning Sue & friends!
Gorgeous card today Sue, I love flowers arranged in a 'wreath' arrangement, love the colours too, somebody is going to get a lovely gift! Well yesterday I got to have a play with Mrs B's Ivy & eternal ring striplet dies, we all usually share our dies, so that together we gave a good range.....BUT, I just had to order those two dies for myself and I think they are going to be a constant 'go to' die, I also had to order the new Camelia flower die set ( the complete ones) I just couldn't resist after seeing the tiny ones in the set, I can't wait for them to arrive! Like Pat (witney) said the money tree is a bit sparse, well it is Autumn! Pat also couldn't resist the ivy and striplet dies and a few others I believe!
Janet, we had a lovely day yesterday, it now feels like we have been friends for years, I really do love their company, if only so many more of you lived closer, it would be amazing to craft together, hugs xxx
Pam, so fantastic to see you in your 'rightful place ' at No 1, it makes things feel normal, hugs xxxx
Lynne M........welcome home, you have been missed, I am so pleased that you are now back in a position to be able to craft and join us too, we have missed our updates on your fur babies, can't wait to catch up on all the mischief! I would especially like to thank my dear friend Lynda B for keeping us informed on your progress, such a lovely lady, hugs to both of you xxx
Theresa (TOB ), I hope Santa brings you everything on your list as I am sure you have been a good girl, maybe you should have "borrowed" 'Santa's' credit card before you bought him round with smelling salts! Haha xxx
Nana Tina, I hope your BP has returned to normal so that you can continue your treatment, hospitals can be very stressful places, maybe that's the cause of BP being higher, have everything crossed for positive outcome, hugs xxx
Crafty hugs to all you lovely ladies,
Sandra xxxxxx

Good morning Sue and my Wilsonette friends,
I think your ring of daisies is beautiful Sue. I love the different shades of lilac and purple that you have used. I think that putting a few more together like you have with the outline dies could turn it into one of those spikey chrysanthemums that have the with bits on them (hoping i have the right flowers but you will all know what i mean). This card reminds me of the daisy chains that we made as children and not so young children that you put on your head and went dancing in the fields bare foot or was that just me as a child. My poor feet never knew what it was to keep a pair of shoes on my feet as i loved the feeling of the grass beneath them but i had feet of leather so it was up and down the dirt track road(hahaha) and into the surrounding fields. At least i didn't wear through my shoes with climbing in them like Jim did was my argument to mum, but she didn't buy it somehow. Thank you Sue for another cracker of a card and the happiness that it brings back to me.
I am so glad to see that a few of our friends that have gone through such a tough year won a die set as seeing your name up there as a winner is one of the most brilliant pick me up tonic's that you can get and this is what you have done for a good few people on here Sue so thank you so very much for your kindness as you have done something more than medicine can do when you are so far down, you are one very special lady who each and every one of us is honoured to have as such a special friend.
Nanna Tina, please take things easy and try and stay chilled out so that your blood pressure comes down for your op. I know this is easier said than done flower but please try. They do say that meditating is a very good calmer down. I had a CD that the pain clinic gave me a few years back that was like the sounds of the ocean, quite strange to listen to but it did have a calming effect. Sorry not meaning to sound bossy flower.
Pam, my dear friend you have been to hell and back this past year and your world fell apart. You just start thinking that you are rebuilding it when along comes something to bring it down again but you will get there tiny step by tiny step. Be good to your self and gentle as you tell me these things take time and even after that you will still grieve for the life you should have been having with your wonderful Tim, but your love and your memories will always be there and that is something that not even time can take from you.(())

part 2
Oh Lynne, it is so good to see you back with us. I know that you are not totally back to where you were, but you hopefully will be soon. Glad to see that your wee ragamuffins have been keeping you on your toes. My Tia does exactly the same with my cushions, ruffing them up with the front paws and sending it to the back to try and get it comfy to lie on. Seeing a chocolate lab going around and around in circles on a leather seat like a cat is i agree the daftest thing you see. And then she gets fed up and goes to the settee to get comfy and starts again but at least she has more room there. She will though stand on the floor and look at you as if to say can i go up please mum before she does it, so that at least is one thing although when she sees her daddy coming she jumps off as he doesn't think she should be up there. Glad you are back flower and that you are feeling so much better than you have been.(())
Anne, i hope that Iain gets a good report when he goes back to the hospital. I will say that he has been lucky this time and hope that you know what i mean. This has gave him a warning albeit a really nasty one so we want him to be good as he has a wife, children and grandchildren that want him around for a long time yet. Take care on the journey flower and have a nice time after the hospital. (())
Sandra, so glad to see that you three ladies had such a good time together. I bet you were all as quiet as church mice with clogs on and bells. Crafting is great but crafting with friends is fantastic and therapeutic in more ways than one.
Ok, i want a Santa like you all seem to have that will even consider getting me what i actually want for Christmas and not just say they aren't buying that rubbish. Oh well, i will go and leave you all but i am sending hugs to all my Angels and thanks that you are all the best anyone could have. To all my Angels not here at the moment i send you hugs and hope that you are going to be on the up again soon.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil Village)
