Thanks For Everything

Good Sunday morning all!  I wasn't going to post this card as I couldn't get the colour to photograph properly, but then I thought, I liked the card as it was sort of different so you might too. Hopefully you can picture it in the soft custard, pale silvery grey and coconut white  in which it was made or any other colour combo you might prefer it in.  I started by cutting an aperture in my grey card with the outside cutting edge to the Bevelled Glass Striplet.  I placed mounting foam on the back to raise it for dimension and mounted it over white card.  Using the French Collection border, I cut two of them in custard card and added them to the top and bottom edges of my aperture background.  I added flatback pearls along the edge as embellishments too.  I cut one of the Tethered Heart Striplet in grey and glued it into the aperture.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the smallest die in the Innsbruck die set.  I lightly inked it with Mustard Seed distress ink before removing it from the die.  I cut a Salzburg die in custard to use as a backing piece for my sentiment and mounted them in the centre of my Striplet.  I added a mat layer of a wider white, then a thin custard and grey and a final white mat.  On the wider white mat, I used Cosmic Shimmer white PVA glue to create a frame of dots all the way around to finish the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9" in size.

I have a special surprise for you starting bright and early tomorrow!  6am Monday sees the start of my Autumn die release blog launch.  As always there will be one of each of the die sets given away so you will want to stop by the blog to be entered into each of the die drawings (24 chances to win!)

Ooooooo, grey and yellow, what a partnership, boootiful. For goodness sake Sue, stop it, not only do you make us think 'why didnt we think about using my die that way' you now make me think 'why didnt I think of putting those colour's together' how can I lovely lady have so much wonderful talant for everything crafty lol any chance on a brain bundle next time you do a show ? Id certainly join up for membership for that valuable bundle lol.
Wooooohoooo party time in Particraft tomorrow, clock watching day and at last I will see your new collection. How do Sunrise Craft get to show them before launch when the owner of our little craft shop cant get the rep from CE to show her the details ?
I really love this gift today, I dont have that striplet but it would work with the one I do have along with the border, so another lovely Sunday inspirational card, thank you Sue. Have a wonderful day.
Janet, hope you have a safe journey back to the UK.
To all that had Pudsy fun, hope all went well.

To our dear friends that are not feeling well today, take the day to rest ready for our special week ahead of new Sue dies, and treat yourselves : )
Thinking about ALL our friends that have that awful grey cloud hanging over them. I wish for you that rainbows soon take over the grey cloud and you're back with us soon.

Im now on countdown, and looking forward to reading all the amazing comments you deserve tomorrow Sue. Yet again they will be to Sue Wilson standard and everything a crafter needs. Good Luck Sue (you dont need it) : )

Good morning Sue & lovely friends,
Wow, another stunner Sue, fantastic composition, I always sit and wonder how you do your 'creating'. Do you sit and play with die cuts to see what works with what, or do you have an idea in mind and cut the dies as you go?
The thing that takes the longest for me is deciding what to put with what, which colours to put together etc, I seem to only be able to get two cards done in any one day, I wish I could do more!
I am so excited for tomorrow, I have resisted the temptation of going to get a preview of your upcoming release as I wanted the surprise to be yours, I am sure the number of blog visitors will be an all time high over the coming days! I think that you can rest assured that we will love each and every die Sue, hugs xxxx
Julie Laz, I have got the Joy Crafts piercing tool, it's the same one as Sue's type it in Google, Sue got hers from Coleman's I think, but they didn't have one when I re checked this week as I lost mine, I just bought a set of three, varying thickness's (I hope it's ok to mention where I got it from) Grafton Crafts. Hope that helps Julie, I tried Joanna Sheen but they had none., hugs Julie x xx
Nanna Tina, lovely to see you back, I hope things start to get a little easier for you, sympathy cards are a tricky one to get right, it's all too easy to get carried away with the embellishments, but it's best to keep it clean and simple, I think Julia has a set of sympathy stamps from Justrite on her show today, sending hugs your way xxx
Cameeli, enjoy making magic at Cliveden, you deserve to have a fun Sunday, huge hugs xxxx
Steph, just one thing to say, 'thank you', I really do appreciate that you have used your precious time to help me! Thanks from the bottom of my heart xxxx
Well I am off to prepare to craft and watch lovely Julia,
Sunday, relaxed hugs to all of you lovely ladies,
See you at 6 30 am!

Hello Sue
This is my first post for a while due to holidays and other reasons and I must say I really like your new colour combination today.
The custard card is one of my favourites and goes well with the soft grey. I will be trying this during the week when I can find some Crafting Time.
Your new dies are gorgeous and it will be difficult to choose which ones to order!
There is so much to do at the moment but I will certainly find time to stop by tomorrow to see what lovely cards you have made with the new dies.
Love from

Lovely card just not sure about the colours!
Looking forward to see what you do with the new dies as I want them all but will have to pick a few favourites to start with.
Congratulations to all the lucky winners.

Just read that Theresa Collins husband has passed away. Its so sad I have been following her blog for years and he has fought so hard to beat cancer but the type he had was so aggressive that after two stem cell transplants they had no more treatments left.

LOVE this card! I am awestruck at how many different dies were used to create it. Absolutely STUNNING! The colors are not too bad from my computer and I can see it in so many different color palettes so it could be mass produced yet very different overall!
LOVE reading your posts and I look forward to them each day! See you tomorrow!

Julie Laz - Andy Pearsons (CE designTeam) family have a fantastic craft shop its Pinnacle Crafts at Barlylands, Billericay, Essex. They had poky tools like Sue's a few weeks ago. Like you I have so many and at last have found where I can get a decent one. Mind you I only get to go there when we visit our daughter as she lives close by,

Hello Sue, sorry I have been 'Missing in Action'. Not been on my computer much recently. I did however spend the afternoon today looking at all of your fabulous designs that I had missed. As always they are outstanding. Perfect colour combinations, designs and great choice of dies used. If only I had time to make cards half as beautiful as yours.
Hello to everyone that have been following my foot injury since August. My doctor has given me another sickline which takes me to early January!! I am however out of plaster and using two elbow crutches to get around.
I hope to get back on track to following Sues blog daily again.
Love and hugs to all. Diane xxxxx

Hi All Wilsonette sister's that have won a lovely gift from the comment game. Im so sorry I forgot to congratulate you when I posted this morning - Im going to blame Sue for overloading my brain with excitement announcing the launch of the new die collection lol so ladies enjoy your gift.

Julie Laz - if all else fails and my little craft shop has still got the pricking tool to use with the CE pricking ruler, I dont mind posting one to you. If you have no luck elsewhere, have a think about it.
I only manage 2 cards a day Sandra (depending on design, hands, finger's, accidents, stupidity, and size of card) !

Right, hands and finger's humming so off to watch the Tool Shed I recorded earlier, love it, wizz past through all the chatter and watch the demo's with a hot coffee - oh dear, Deano just mentioned D.S. S. S !!! Maybe he's not as yummy as I first thought after that reference to one of my nightmere's lol.
See you all for Parti Time : )

Good evening Sue and my Wilsoentte friends,
The softness of the yellow and grey really bring through the different elements of this card today Sue and you have used my all time favourite borders. Such a different card with the colours that you have chosen today and not common. Thank you Sue for bringing us inspired works of art each day. You do realise that you will be inundated in comments about your new dies, and each and everyone of them is deserved. Well done on another obvious smash hit as they like the rest will not just be a one wonder die. Kirsten and the boys are getting me the new flower sets for my Christmas which i will get her to put away so i am not tempted beforehand. Good luck everyone.
Well done everyone, i hope that you enjoy your prize when it arrives.
Wow Meg the wee lad is coming on at a great pace and not putting on too much weight for his wee body to cope with, just right.
Nanna Tina, sorry to hear your sad news today. I look back on some of the people i was so fortunate to meet as a child and grow up with in my life and thank the day that they came along. These are the kind of people that remain in our hearts and minds forever with joy, sometimes with laughter, sometimes with tears. I am thinking of you dear lady and sending hugs your way and the way of this dear lady that has gone.
Alison(Alimecca) make sure you have plenty of WIFI stops on the way for comfort breaks, well computer breaks at the relevant times of course. Have a good journey up and i hope that you can actually see something tomorrow as today has been one of those days where i hills were gone this morning and have not returned all day. But there again, the village is a bit like Brigadoon today (my apologies if any are not old enough to know that film, my favourite). Be very choosey of which room you are in when you get here so that you have working wifi and have a great time most of all.
Ita, i will email you dear lady and get something sorted out for you with pleasure.
Well Kirsten and Ryan have got there house and are all ready to move in on the 19th of next month, they are fair excited about the whole thing. They have just been through at Ikea for a whole load of bits and pieces for their house. They made a list and she says she didn't realise all the things that she would need to start up her own home. I think she is now realising why i have been collecting things for her over the time and just what it has saved them as well. It is going to be quiet here with her gone and not sure how Rory is going to get on with it but things have to move on, don't they.
Well, hope that you all have a good week and all my Angels both on the blog and not at the moment i send hugs to. Thank you for being there you very special people,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah(Glenochil Village)

Sue, you are a great inspiration to me (and to many others Obviously) and you have helped me to add a new dimension to my card making.

When I use your tutorials the cards, when made, look amazing. I change the colours of card stock used and if I don't have a particular die (which is getting rarer and rarer as I am building up quite the SW collection!) then I use another. Because most dies are interchangeable in one way shape or form and the results are still great.

I have mixed feelings about your new dies - part delighted part thinking of the bank balance. (Secretly I am thrilled - my husband not so much! But he sees I get so much enjoyment from using them he is getting me some for Christmas!!)

Living in Australia I rely on all sorts of suppliers to get my hands on them.

Keep up the great work Sue and many thanks for all the inspiration.

LOVE your use of dies here too. Fabulous card. That special cosmic shimmer PVA Glue that you use so perfectly as a finishing touch on all of your projects is sorta tough to find around the USA. Maybe your USA admiring Crafters could gather to send you an empty suitcase for filling up with that shimmer goodness to bring back to the US for your American Crafty friends, heh? :) j/k
