For A Special Friend

Hi there my crafty friends!  Thank you so much for the wonderful support from everyone for the past weekend's shows!  I was delighted that the dies were so well received.  I thought I would give you a short break from all the Christmas cards and switch gears a bit, so today's card showcases the second release dies.  I started by embossing the background on this one.  Using the Quilted Flower embossing folder, I gave texture to a piece of coconut white card.  Next I used the French Collection border and corners and cut four of each out of coconut white card as well.  I glued the borders into place along the edge of the embossed background, then added the corners into place on top, creating a frame for my card.  I stamped my sentiment using a Black Archival ink pad.  I cut it out with the inner decorative die from the Salzburg set.  I inked it with Aqua Adirondack ink to highlight the sentiment.  I cut the larger die from the set and seated my sentiment upon it and mounted the topper in the centre of my frame.  Using the Itty Bitty Filigree bow die, I cut it out of white card.  I used the Classic Itty Bitty Bow die and cut a coordinating bow out of aqua card (although my pic looks a bit blue!) and a glued the two together before forming my 3D bow out of it.  I added the bow on an angle to my topper to add a little embellishment (these bows are just the right size for that, don't you think!)  I completed the card with a white mat which I added Cosmic Shimmer white PVA Glue dots to all the way around, then a thin aqua mat and a final white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue, beautiful card today. Looks very lacy. Thank you for the great weekend of shows, you looked so well and clearly enjoying yourself. So many familiar names read out and thank you for drawing my name out of the hat for a card, congrats to all the other winners too. Bejay you got your wish, hope it helps you get better.
Steph, thanks for all your help this weekend, you are such a caring, giving person. Barrie, what a star, the poem was great.

Hi Sue. This is a real stunner, but easy to do. I love the dies and the background.
Thank you for giving us such great demos and so many helpful hints and tips over the weekend. As always you looked as fresh and bright on the last show as the first. How do you do it? Your tops are so pretty too, do you get them in America? I am so looking forward to seeing you on Saturday at Ally Pally, hope you get a rest before then though : )
It was good to hear lots of familiar names being read out(wasn't able to email yesterday sadly) Congratulations Pam on winning one of Sue's gorgeous cards : )
Sending my daily hugs to you Sue, to Pam and Robbie, to Sandra and Pat and my other special friends and to all in need. Take care.

Morning Sue, Pam and all Wilsonettes, what a fantastic weekend we have just had with you Sue, I watched everyone whilst it was on (but had a lot going on this weekend)and have also taped them so that I can go back and refresh my memory, just in case I missed any. And to give you another slot on top of the ones you were booked for, wow, and so many sell outs, well I am not surprised because these dies, stamps and embossing folders are truly brilliant.

I am loving todays card and will definitely be having a go at this one, mind you I try and have a go at all of them, such inspiration, thank you Sue.

Congrats to Pam and all the winners of one of your cards, I sent in emails but was not lucky enough to get them read out but that doesn't matter because I have one of your Wednesday giveaway cards which I treasure and it is nice for others to benefit. Loved the poem.

There are so many people who read and comment on your blog, they feel like one big family, too many to mention but every single one of them are included in my sentiments and wishes.

I also bought some more of the dies and the embossing folders oh hurry up postie.........

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs June Smith xxx

Hi Sue,
Thank you for a wonderful weekend of fabulous shows. The samples were to die for! I really don't know how you do it all ( and have time to design the dies) . I hope you manage to chill out and have some me time before Ally Pally. Today's card is beautiful and I have made 3 cards almost the same , without the middle bit, as soon as my dies came. This was one that you used when you showcased the dies on release and I loved it so much that I had to have a go. The recipients were absolutely blown away by the cards!
Well after the weekend off ( well almost) it's back to decorating today ugh!ive also got to go to a garage as I caught the wing mirror when reversing out of the garage last night and it's broken ( not too badly hopefully it will push back together! ). Hubby will not be too pleased when he hears about it! The car is only 3 months old! Pam so pleased you won a Sue Wilson masterpiece. Hope you feel better for it. Tina hope Claire is feeling better. Norah and family you are in my thoughts. Steph hope you are ok. Love to all especially Lindsay, Lynne,Tres, Maureen, Myra, Sandra,Cameeli, June and everyone else I've missed! Morning Sue and my lovely Wilsonettes. To 'our Pam' Barbie, Beejay, and all the lucky lovely ladies that were picked for a W.O.W yesterday congratulations to you, how wonderful so many of you were chosen. Oh Sue, by your last show (with help from Lee) you were starting to look dilerious !!! What a weekend you had, soooo succesful but expected and not at all suprised. Hope you are toasting your wonderful weekend with a small glass of bucks fizz ! I can tell you, that hearing so many lovely names put a BIG smile on my face, so you must have been ready to burst with pride, as for Mr Sue, how proud must HE be ? Wow, Im sure you got the biggest pizza he could find lol.

Our Monday card is sooo pretty, I love using my corner die, but thanks to you Ive used them 'out of the corner' so to speak, and used them all together as a circular focal point, a few months ago I would have used them as corner dies but not now thanks to your tuition.

I hope all my real dear special friends managed to watch your shows without suffering too much discomfort, and that you all had a decent weekend. If today is already proving difficult, I have many soothing gentle cuddles, so please take as many as you need.

Have a lovely day Sue.
Love to you.

morning Sue from a very very foggy and cold Monday morning here in Sheffield. Autumn has hit us well and truly.
Thank you for starting my week with the most beautiful of gifts. I have really fallen in love with the colour scheme of all white and occasionally a hint of another colour. You really have made your dies sing with this morning's gift.

Pam - I can hear your yelps of excitment - just remember that foot is still not strong enough to start dancing on. Many congrats I'm sure there is a place just ready and waiting.
Sandra - A very Happy Anniversary - hope you both had a wonderful day.
Norah - You're still with me. Gentle steps lovely lady.

It's a finishing off day of my sample for tomorrow's Craft afternoon with my Knit & Natter friends. I then have to do some re-organising and sorting in prep for my new table to arrive. This means that somethings will have to go and that is really going to be difficult as I just hoard anything crafty. Oh well recycling with benefit.

To all who are not feeling too good take things slowly and carefully. To everyone take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Hi Sue. Today's card is very beautiful !! Your French borders and corner dies look so delicate and Lacey. I think they are very pretty. I love the Salzburg dies to. They are from your Austrian collection but the outer Lacey pattern on them looks very similar to the French collection. I think this card shows just how perfectly the the two collections mix and and match together. You are just so clever Sue. You certainly know what your crafters will love !! More dies to add to my huge wish list !!
I love your white on white / cream on cream cards with just a hint of colour, and one of my most favourite colours of card stock at the moment is the beautiful Aqua card. At present I am in love with making your bows Sue. Large or Itty Bitty, they are going on all my cards !! When I make my Christmas Cards I am putting bows on them to !! The Holly stamps to match the bows are one of the top items on my wish list !!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful card with us today. All your shows over the weekend were fantastic Sue !! I recorded as many as I could. (Free view) and watched every single one. I was completely hooked. I just wish you had been given more time to do more demo's. The extra show was a real bonus though and I was so pleased to be able to watch an extra hour of you with your amazing cards and demo's. I hope you get the chance to have a bit of rest and relaxation time before your next busy weekend.
Sending you lots of crafty love and hugs today Sue from Tres x x x

Norah, thinking of you and your family today. Sending you all lots of love and gentle hugs from Tres x x x

Congratulations to Pam for winning one of Sue's gorgeous cards !! I hope you are feeling much better. Sending you and Robbie lots of crafty love and hugs today from Tres x x x

Congratulations to everyone else that won a gorgeous Sue Wilson original to. I was so pleased to recognise several Wilsonette's names when their e-mails were read out. Most of all congratulations to Barbiepinkfairy who's wonderful poem was read out !! I loved it. x x x

To all the Wondeful Wilsonettes, I hope everyone has a lovely day today. Lots of crafty love and hugs from Tres x x x

Hi Sue,
What a lovely card once again. So pretty with just that hint of aqua. It is such a versatile card and the dies do all the work. You are a very clever lady. I'm sure you are a rather tired lady this morning! If not - I want some of whatever you are on! Lol. I loved some of the fun bits yesterday too. Dean and his panini story - well I could just see it happening! Lee and the tulle and also his jumpers! It was a most enjoyable two days and I think it must be even more so if the person watching is housebound or alone.
You provided a great service!!
Bejay Roles - you got your wish - so thrilled for you.
Great to hear all the names we know and love not only read out but winning cards. They will be treasured.
Crafting with children this afternoon and I've decided to do a Lucky Dip day! Doing this each week means that so often I have some 'projects' left over each week. This can get a bit much after a while. So much clutter!
So today we are using up some older things. By making a game out of it I hope it goes down ok! Fingers crossed!
Cheryl - lovely to have you back. Missed you.
Janet - calling at Charity Shop on way to Craft today - kitchen stuff and craft card and paper that I will never use. Someone else will I'm sure.
Norah - hope you are feeling a bit stronger. If we could will your pain and anguish away we would - but we can't. All we can do is send love and hugs and let you know how much you mean to us. Take care, my friend.xx
Love to Sue, Sandra, Steph, Julie Laz, Lynda - hope you enjoyed your cuddles with baby Harry., Lynne, Lindsay, Janet, June, Alison, Anne, Brenda L, Sheila, DianeandChips - hope you ok x, TOB Theresa, Tina, Wheelybad, Heather T .

Hi Sue and all lovely blog friends

What a beautiful card you have for us today, I really love that die.

I still haven't watched all of the weekend shows, even though I heard them, and you laughing a lot while I was working around the house. Brilliant!

Thank you to everyone that has sent best wishes to my daughter Claire. She did go back to work today, after completely ignoring any parental advice, and she had to ask her LSA to take over a couple of times because she was in pain. I despair sometimes and feel totally helpless. Hence still up, not able to sleep. Hey Ho, what can you do.

Sandra, you made me laugh reading your message today, and I am sorry that me turning up at Ally Pally would have made you sad, It's a good job I can't make it then!. ( really, only joking, it made me chuckle, thank you ).

Pam love and hugs to you and Robbie, sounds like you are both going in the right direction and long may it continue. X

Norah, In my thoughts and prayers, I'm missing the news of your beautiful hills and the beautiful way you give your daily weather forecast about them. When you are ready, we'll all be here for you.

Baby Leo, Baby cuddles

Big hugs Steph, Margaret,Yorkielass, Linda, and Sheila I hope that spesky cold is going on it's way.

Kind regards to all
