Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi there!  I am switching gears and going back into Christmas mode for today's giveaway.  I stamped the background using the Striped Holly background by Justrite using a Clear Perfect Medium pad on to coconut white card. I heat embossed with True White embossing powder then inked across the card with Brushed Pewter distress stain.  The embossing resisted the ink, but gave the card a softer look than just stamping on to silver card.  For the focal element, I stamped the Ornament using a clear Perfect Medium pad and embossed it with Silver Shine embossing powder.   I cut it out with a large circle die.  I stamped the image again, heat embossed it and cut out just the centre sentiment section with a smaller circle die.  I foam mounted it in the centre.  I stamped the dots on to a strip of white card and embossed them with silver and added them so it looked like the ornament was suspended by them.  Using my Classic bow die, I cut it in soft silver card for the base of my bow.  I used the Lattice bow die and cut it in white.  I made  the bow by layering the classic underneath the Lattice and assembling a double bow with tails.  I cut the tails apart so they didn't cover the hanging dots and mounted them to each side of it.  I finished the card with a mat of white with a pierced edge, then a thin mat of silver and a final mat of white card.  Finished dimensions are 6" x 7" in size.  If you would like to be in the drawing for this one, just leave a message today.  The winner will be announced on the blog on Saturday.  All for now, Sue x

Hope no one minds me leaving a message for Lancashire Steph. OMG that shop is craft heaven! I couldn't take in all the fab stock. I love creative expressions and indigo blue and usually have to go on line. I treated myself more than I should but hey ho no pockets in shrouds! That's always been my theory and I'm sticking with it!

I feel a return visit is required as I just couldn't see everything!

I will definitely be a regular there! Probably back tomorrow!, thanks for the tip off about it. Hope you get yourself some goodies xxx

Hi Sue, a beautiful card that would grace anyone's home. I am determined to try the white embossing/distress stain technique with my stamps as it has such a lovely effect. As Norah said, seeing you demonstrate the high/low technique and touching the finished result makes it so much more understandable and I will be trying this also.

Hi, new to the site, my first blog.
it beggars belief the things you can do to a card, totally blew me away with your demo yesterday.
I sat spellbound for 2 hours!
Your bows are out of this world
I bought them all.
love every card, hard to pick a favourite.
You are amazing. Vera x

Beautiful card sue, I love grey/silver especially for xmas.

Had a wonderful day at Craftworld yesterday. The demos were amazing and seeing your cards in person was incredible. I think Sue was amazed at the amount of people there and obviously doesn't realise how popular she is.
I spent way too much on dies and stamps but Sue said we had to spend money in the shop so they would ask her back so I had the perfect excuse. The matching stamps are so pretty and cant wait to try them out.
Craftworld did an excellent job with organising and having a good stock of Creative Expression products. I do hope we see Sue and Julia back again in the future.
Looking forward to the Tool-shed at the weekend.

Oh Sue, I am so sorry (& very sad :o( that I did not know what has been going on with your new dies. I've 167 emails in my box as I was rushed to hospital with pneumonia 17 days ago & came home yesterday. After ploughing through all my Get Well mail I've come to you, only to find I have MISSED the most important daily emails to your Blog & a chance in trying to win your dies.... Though thankfully I can at least easily find what I've missed to look at -even if I can't post to win
What can I say about the STRIPLET HEART DIE except SUPERB ELEGANCE! Do you draw these out Sue? All the dies are absolutely gorgeous pity no bottomless pockets! Todays christmas theme is just lovely, subtle & elegant so 'my type of card' that I like to make. WELL DONE Sue on your 2nd Die Creations. Hugs Dawn x

Sorry Sue, could I just ask a quick question to the ladies who have just got kittens, and just had their 2nd feline jab.

I had to take Bubble to the vet today, as I found a lump. The vet said it could just be a reaction to the jab, but to wait for 2 weeks to see if it disappears. If not they will do a biopsy, has anyone experienced the same thing. Sorry Sue, Thank you Sue X
