Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway and Pictures

Hello crafters!  It's another giveaway day today and I have chosen a silver and white (very traditional) card for the offer.  I stamped the Holly Swirl background by Justrite on to our new vintage silver card using a Clear Perfect Medium pad.  I heat embossed it with True White powder.  Next I cut an aperture in the centre using the Tranquil Moments die.  I added mounting foam to the back of my background to raise it.  I cut another Tranquil Moment die out of coconut white card, then recessed it down into the matching aperture. ( Note that you could cut the shape first saving you having to cut it twice, then stamp, but I find that more difficult as sometimes I stamp wonky.) I stamped my sentiment on coconut white card and embossed it in silver.  I cut it out with the Elegant Ovals and mounted it in the middle of my recessed die.  I tied a messy bow out of silver seam binding, added some silver cord and a silver satin ribbon rose.  I made two matching stick pins to finish off the bow embellishment.  The remainder of the card was matted with white and silver and I pierced the inside white mat to add a framed look.  Finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x 7 1/2" in size.  Leave a comment to be included in the drawing for this card!

Scroll down to see some of the pictures from my recent demo in Haverfordwest, Wales.

Ben from SET Office Supplies in Haverfordwest organised a brilliant day complete with a ladies choir that sang me both the American National anthem and the Welsh National anthem!
The had both the Mayor of Haverfordwest and his wife and the Sherriff welcome me!
The town crier announced me to anyone walking by in the street ( a bit embarrassing but still good fun!)
A charming little girl with the cutest face and blonde ringlets gave me a bouquet of flowers!  Behind me is Lesley, who came all the way from Shields and helped out Ben in the shop for several days prior to the demo and helped me on the day.  She was fabulous!
This was the first of four sessions on the day.  They kept the group to around 30 people so I think everyone could see well, which was really nice.
The last few pics are of blog followers that came to the demo.  Ben arranged for them to come upstairs for lunch and a chat in between the demos.  This is Anne Riley Davies or Anne RD as you might know her on the blog.
Here I am with Heather Tom  (or cr@fty) and the lady with the glasses is Yvonne, she was the Mum of one of the SET employees named Deborah, who also helped me tidy up between demos (I am a messy crafter!)
Heather has been on my blog almost from the very beginning!

This is the lovely "P" in Wales, as you may know her, who is also a regular blog friend and leaves me lovely comments daily!
And finally Judy M here with me. It was a delight to meet so many blog friends and now finally be able to put faces with names!

I also met Jan Craven at the afternoon session but for some reason, I do not have a picture of her.

Talking about a small world, I met a gal (also named Judy) that is friends on Facebook with one of my best friends of over 20 years in California, Karen!  I hadn't mentioned to Karen that I was doing a demo in Wales, but she saw it on Judy's Facebook page!  How funny is that!

Julia Watts and I are leaving today for our road trip together so hopefully more pics next week!  All for now, Sue x

Yet another stunning card from you sue, I read that you were in my beautiful home Wales, sadly just a little too far for me to travel right now due to my fibromyalgia. Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Another stunning card Sue, I love the tones and the elegant nature of the card. I struggle with sunken apertures but I really must have a go at this as I would like to make a similar card for my very special friends at Christmas. Hope the road trip goes well.
