Pyramised Delicate Lace

Hello my crafty friends!  It is video day and today's card features the California dies and the matching Delicate Lace stamp.  It is easy to build up in a pyramid fashion and the video will show you just how to achieve this look.
Julia Watt has shows today on C & C at 8am and 2pm .  You will want to be sure to tune in to see what new goodies she has to demonstrate!

Buy from Joanna Sheen

Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Another stunning card Sue., I love it. At the moment I can't get about so can't even craft so my daughter will set up a little desk for me. Great news came through 2 hours ago, Robbie is feeling hot and cold sensations in this stomach and knees, not movement yet but this is all positive news and his place at Spaulding Rehab Centre has been confirmed. Thank you everyone for all the prayers and kind wishes, it does help.
Katie-Louise, Tres, Steph, Norah and all, who are sad or in pain, or just want one, my love and hugs all round xx

A beautiful and very graceful gift today. love the way you got the pyramid look. Those stamps are so gorgeous and although I'm not a black person unless it's in monochrome it certainly pops today.
Beautiful sunny morning here and fingers crossed that we may have finished with the thunder storms for a while.
Have crafting all day planned today so hoping nothing crops up to upset that plan.
Pam so pleased to hear progress is being made for Robbie.
Hoping everyone is OK (wherever you are on the OK scale).

Morning Sue and all Wilsonette friends. How lovely to see our Pam back at pole position again. I cant tell you how relieved.I was to read of Robbies progress Pam, such a positive note. Carry on crafting hon with your daughter's thoughtfullness - it's the best painkiller there is, with love from all here running a close 2nd, enjoy playing : )
Our newly weds return today, so Im having to 'struggle' alone today as dad has gone to collect their fur baby from his 'holiday home' then they can relax, look over the 500+ wedding photo's that are now available on the photographers website !! And open the last of the cards and gifts. Oh boy oh boy how the photography has changed since 'our day' lol - oh yes, and my tear's flowed freely alllll over again, what am I like LOL.
Sue, I LOVE video days, thank you. Today's card is beautiful, I love mono cards, and that touch of aqua is lush. Your new dies are SO versatile, and having the outer apature is so useful to use, that's what you call value for money. The new dies on Julia's show are already in stock at my local little craft shop, so at least I know just where to go now once finances pick up !
Hoping you are happy and well Sue, and to all that hurt, feel low and need many hugs, I have many to give.
Love you.

Hi Sue. The layered look is definitely extravagant and opulant looking. You put so many layers on your cards its a good job you work for CE. Being on a tight budget I find I have to gut everything and that adds a lot of time to each project. The end results always look better for the layering though.
Good news, I am up and walking about now and only using one crutch. Alghough it has been a slow recovery, nearly four months now, I can see the light. Whilst I might be stiff from muscle wastage, and have a few good scars to boast of, I can't really believe that I can walk without the pain I have endured for the last 16 years. Sometimes I find myself putting my foot down and expecting to feel pain and then almost surprised when I don't. Ive got a way to go yet but I think in three months time I might be walking with a spring in my step. So PAM take heart it will get better soon. X

Good afternoon Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
I love the soft bluey green that you have used in this card Sue, it is such a delicate colour. A bit too much black for me but that would be easily remedy by me swapping it for a lighter shade, but it gives a brilliant insight into how it looks with the bolder black background. Thank you Sue for another WOW masterpiece though as it does give us that wee nudge in the inspiration stakes each day.
Oh i went to meet Frances yesterday, oh what a lovely lady. And yes with not being terrified at meeting someone new she got the real Norah, the daft as a brush Norah because it felt like i was meeting up with a friend that i known for years, instead of someone new that i was meeting for the first time. Thank you Frances, i had a lovely morning with you, sorry you got the mad hatter for company, but i met a lovely new friend.I came back with a spring in my step as much as there ever can be with my walking. Been to meet my friend from my work days in Falkirk today, tried to buy a new spine, hips and legs but they were clean out of these parts at Dunelm. It was last of the big spenders this morning as i got 2 gold, 2silver and 2 black of the sort of gel pens that was down to 50p, great buy, so that's the Christmas writing taken care off. I've come back to find my Heart Lattice embossing folder has arrive...Whoopee, crafting afternoon me thinks ahead, after i've had a wee sleep as shattered.
Oh Pam a)that is fantastic news about Robbie and b) what a lovely daughter, so very thoughtful and it will let you pass the time contemplating crafty things instead of pain and how much longer before you can get up and about again. Sending gentle hugs to you flower and to Robbie and family, it is so nice to hear such good news about the young lad.
Oh wow my hills are alive with the sunshine and beautiful fluffy clouds that looks like puffs of cotton wool getting teased into the different shapes. See i try to tame the imagination but it just takes on a mind all off it's own sometimes. Hope that the sun is shining where ever you are and if not from outside, i hope that it can from inside out. With gentle hugs and wee prayers for all our friends that are not so well or what ever reason they just need that wee bit TLC,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Hi Sue and lovely blog friends

Love the card today, I have yet to purchase the stamps to go along with these dies. They are now on my wish list. love the pretty blue.

Pam, such great news about Robbie. I can't think how his mum and dad are feeling, they must be so pleased with his progress, long may it continue. Well done Robbie. Really good to see you at the top again and hope your recovery is on the right track too. Big hugs X

Cazzie, really good to hear your op was succesful. Give it time you'll be running the marathon

Norah, so glad you had a good day yesterday, even though you were Cream Crackered.

Steph why did'nt we have photo's like that in our day, it's so casual nowadays and not so staged. you get more natural pictures now. Bubble & Squeak are eating me out of fish & chicken after their baby making tackle being removed. I would have loved a litter, but I could'nt have given any one of them away. Paul said had that happened he would have moved out, I said I'll get your cases down from the loft then. ( only joking ), They're in the wardrobe.

Kind regards to all

Tina XX

Hi Sue, love the design of this card but I am afraid there is a bit too much black for me. Might try something similar with navy background and stamping, I don't think that would look so stark.

Norah, glad you enjoyed yesterday morning also, I'll be in touch soon.

Pam, so pleased the news about Robbie is encouraging.

Julia's shows today were great but I didn't spend as I am saving my pennies for Aberdeen and maybe, Sue, your new dies :)

Good evening Sue and everyone
Wow what a dramatic looking card it really makes an impression! I really love how you have just added a little dash of colour. I really love it when it is a video day I find watching so much better than reading an account of how to do something great help for the little grey cells! lol

Pam wonderful to see you back in your No.1 spot, the more rest you get the quicker you will recover so please don't over do things. Really great news about Robbie the power of prayer never fails to amaze, this may seem a small step but the first of many.

Tina so pleased Bubble and Squeak are well and back home again safely, hugs to them. By the way if Derek offers to leave I offer to pack for him! lol

Steph treasure your memories and hold them close darling, they are yours to keep forever remember.

Warm wishes and hugs to those who need them especially Pam, Yorkielass, Lynda, Norah, Steph and Tina.

I didn't like this card at first sight but now I have watched the video you have won me over Sue, although I do still find the black a bit heavy. I don't always comment on this blog because I have a disabled husband and just don't get time and I have also had chronic sciatica for three months which has meant that I have done little crafting. However I have still spent a lot of money on Sue's dies and am just starting to enjoy them. good wishes to all you thoughtful ladies and love and hugs to everyone who needs it. Marion B xxx

Sue,
Gorgeous card. Thank you for the video, it was definitely easier than it looked. Great job.

Very dramatic card. I don't tend to make cards with so much black but that's just me. I'm sure it would look good in other colours too. Saving the video to watch tomorrow.
Pam it's good to see you back at the top of the tree and also to hear the encouraging news of Robbie. Take care everyone.

Beautiful card as always. I enjoy making the pyramid cards. Love the stamp and can't wait to order it to go with the dies. When my mojo is gone, I review Sue's cards for inspiration. My mojo comes back. Thank you Sue for your inspiration.

Hi Sue
Sorry I didn't get to leave a comment yesterday but just watched the video - broken down in stages makes me want to have a go - luckily I have all the elements - so here goes and I think I will try it in different colours too!! It's a lovely card!
