It's A Tuesday Two-Fer

Hi crafters!  It's a cute two-fer today with gingerbread man and snowman as the features.  This first card was created by stamping the Retro Sparkle background by Justrite on to kraft card using a clear perfect medium pad.  I heat embossed it with True White embossing powder and distressed the edges with my scissors.  I wrapped a length of lipstick red seam binding around the card horizontally and taped the ends to the back.  I tied a messy bow and added it to the right side of the card.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it into a tag and added Iced Snow to the edge.  I tucked the sentiment tag under a white crystal sparkler and twine bow in the centre of my seam binding bow.  I stamped the gingerbread man on kraft card and cut him out by hand.  I coloured him with pencils and stamped and cut out a candy cane for him to hold.  I used a bit of Diamond Snow on the candy cane for a bit of bling.  I used the Elegant Ovals and cut out the shapes to use as a backdrop for him.  I mounted him in the centre with foam for dimension.  I finished this card with a pierced white mat, a thin red and kraft  mat and a final white mat.  Finished dimensions are 6" x 7 1/2" in size.  Scroll down to see card number two.

Here is card number two for you with a really cute snowman to make you smile!  He is from the Christmas Applique set by Justrite as well.  I stamped the Retro Sparkle background using a clear Perfect Medium pad on to aqua card.  I heat embossed the image with True White embossing powder and covered the entire piece with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing off and coated it with Iced Snow for a pretty blingy look.  I wrapped a piece of red seam binding around the card and taped the ends to the back of the card.  I stamped two of the poinsettia on to red card and cut them out by hand.  I coated them with Cosmic Lacquer and set them aside to dry overnight.  Once dry, I offset the pieces, added a pearl to the centre and seated the flower on some white tulle and Red and white Bakers Twine.  I stamped a sentiment and tucked the end under the flower.  I cut an Majestic Circle and lightly sponged through the die with aqua Adirondack ink.  I stamped the snowman and candy cane in the centre of my circle, coloured him and added some flocking to his hat and a pearl to the end.  All around the image, I added white PVA glue dots as snow drops. I sprinkled Diamond Snow lightly over them to add some sparkle.  I mounted the circle in the middle of my card with foam for dimension.  I finished the card with a pierced white mat, a thin red mat and a final white mat.  Finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x 7 1/2" in size.  Both the gingerbread man and the snowman do bring a smile to your face, don't you think?

By the way, the videos will start back up a week from today on the 5th of August.  I hope you are ready to see some demonstrations using the second release of my dies!  All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue and everyone, beautiful cards again today.
Thank you all for my good wishes, I can't wait to get this cast off, it is too heavy, too hot and I am frustrated at not being mobile. My brother George, Robbie's' dad, is coming from USA on Friday, and he may have more news for us. Robbie is working hard at his rehab (although there was a post on Facebook that a nurse had been feeding him and it was. AWESOME, he is a very handsome young man).
Mary Blight, well done on your ideas.
Steph, hope yesterday went well and you are starting to feel the benefits.
Julie Laz, you are doing so well, keep it up.
Love and hugs to all on the blog. xx

morning Sue
What a gorgeous pair of gifts for today. I really cannot choose between them - I have the gingerbread man stamp and a snowman so I think they are the two subjects for my little one's cards this year.
I don't usually go in for cutie themes but these two are just so so beautiful and for you to give them to us as a 'twofer' you are really spoiling us again.
What a question to ask though Sue 'are we ready for the next video set?' It's on a par with 'do you love crafting?'
Cannot wait for next Tuesday but as I was always told when saying that 'well you'll just have to' so I'll try and behave and wait patiently. I hope no-one I know will read this as the comments back wouldn't be ................

Sandra - I did get onto your page but it must have been one of my days when things just didn't happen. Hope you're not doing too much re packing/shopping etc for your Hols. You need to enjoy them not have to recuperate because of the preps.

Steph - hope all went well yesterday and that it wasn't too bad. Perhaps you can use today as R&R before you start your next cardathon.

Norah - I missed you yesterday hope all is well.

Hope everyone is OK and feeling better day by day. Take care and see you tomorrow.

GM Sue - nice cards but the cutesy style is not me - sorry! Just seen youR Christmas dies - OMG! Think it will be tough to choose - soo lovely again - dont know how you do it!

Some Wilsonettes might recall a while ago I was thinking about setting up a papercrafting group - but after investigations into hall hire and insurance costs I decided not to do it. But all is not lost as I have found a small card making class locally -I am off there this afternoon for the first time - so hopefully this will be just the ticket. Will report back tomorrow.

Hi Sue, morning Wilsonettes. How nice is it to be able to breath again at night, so I hope you all had a comfortable night's sleep.
Julie Laz - whatever we can do to help just ask ! I know how hard it can be when you cant go out craft shopping etc or dont feel confident to research online, so ask away, there are SO many talented ladies here that make the most amazing stunning cards, that wgat they dont know about craft and techniques isn't worth knowing ! Sue and a few kind friends here have helped me so much. I just wish I lived near enough to give you some crafting company.
Pam - another day closer - woohoo. We'll all be doing a Pam dance when your white leg has gone : )
TOB - you rock : )
Had to cancel my appointment yesterday as Mr L's 90 yr old mom was taken into hospital in Birmingham, and as he was driving me up and down the motorway he wouldnt have been able to take a call. So I thought it better to be at home so he could take any calls that came through from Bham. It was so lovely of you to wish me luck and Ive put them aside to take when I get another appointment (whenever that will be) !
What lovely cards today Sue. These stamps will be perfect for the childrens C. Cards for market. Now Im scared, as I have so many 'everyday' cards to make, plus goodness know's how many 'other' cards in prep for December's winter market ! I feel quite sick lol !
I too can now say Ive seen the C.dies. The rep was in my local shop last week and I was in ore at the beauty of them. I really had to sit on my hands so I didnt spill the beans on here ! They are stunning (PinkBarbie - Lyn will have them in Crafty heaven in approx 3 weeks) not sure which she ordered as she couldnt afford the full set, but Id ring if I were you : )
So now I have 2 stamp sets I must get rather than just think about it ! Yesterday's and today's. Both cards are so sweet I love em.
Hope you celebrated hard yesterday Cam : )

Its time to send my lovely friends gentle hugs and hope today is kind to you. If its a bad day, let it ride, it doesnt matter, tomorrow is another day.
Hope you are well and happy Sue.
Love to all.

Morning Sue,

A Christmas treat today! Two really cute cards. I realise there's something in me that avoids cutting out stamped images. I like using stamps but can never be bothered cutting them out- I really should try to do something about that because you always have really pretty results when you bring those elements to your cards.

Excited about more videos and especially looking forward to seeing some of your creations with the new die sets. I've got four sets now so I'm keen to get your inspiration.

Good morning Sue & friends,
A pair of gorgeous cards today, really fun, bright colours, but they still have elegance to them and a good pinch of sparkle!
Sue, I can't wait for your next series of tutorials, they are so informative and inspirational, thank you for taking the time to do them!
Janet, I did put a brief run down of the journey for you yesterday, I really need to update my blog!
Pam, you must looking forward to a proper catch up with your brother, sounds like Robbie is making good progress too! Take care xxx
Pat & Sue, this time last week, I was really getting nervous, 6 days later I am 2 lovely friends richer! I wish we were doing it again this week! I have never laughed so much in one morning (&afternoon)! Hugs to you both xxx
Norah, what's today's theme? Will check back with my cuppa at 'elevenses'!
Well I had a rough night Sunday, woke up feeling poorly, it turns out that I have a 'water infection' boy did that burning sensation kick in yesterday! Went to GP and have antibiotics to take for seven days!
Myra, I do hope your back is a little easier today, what were you thinking, moving it on your own?! (Mind you I do things like that too, I am impatient, when I decide I want to do something, it's straight away) the only trouble with that is that my husband is so layed back, you can't rush him into anything! Take it easy, you only get one back! Hugs xx
Lovely Brenda, I can ask them to do housework,I don't always get the answer I would like, they are good girls really, they both received a 'outstanding Young Citizens Award' for being helpful to me and still finding the time to help and coach younger children with football and language clubs at school! My heart was at breaking point that day, so proud of them, but saddened at the fact that they had to give up some of their time to help me! hopefully the experience will help them in the future, I am a firm believer of teaching them how to cook and clean, schhols no longer take the time to teach them what was then called 'Home Economics', basic life skills really, which is sad and surely just contribute to today's youngsters being addicted to junk food, they need to be excited about cookery etc! Phew, that rambled on, sorry Brenda, hugs to you! Xxx
TOB How are you feeling? I hope you are feeling more reassured that the lovely bunch of crafting friends on Sue's Blog are here for you whatever your Situation, enjoy your scooter, it can be life changing! Hugs xx
Cameeli, missing you already, I hope you enjoyed your birthday, how did you celebrate? Hugs xx
Hugs to everyone I haven't mentioned 😘, see you tomorrow, have a great day.
Hugs
Sandra xxxx

Hi Sue
Second time of trying to write this as my Ipad has a wobbly if I try to go back and change something I wrote.
Two lovely cards today Sue. I was wondering how you had stamped the snowman and run it throughout the dotty folder with embossing the snowman. Silly me you used PVA glue dots. I bought the snowflakes you had on the show and will have to start having a play.
Cameeli hope you are having a lovely time and look forward to hearing about your adventures when you return.
Pam. Hope you have a lovely time with your brother and you'll hear all about Robbie first hand now. Do you keep in touch via Skype?. It's a wonderful invention isn't it. My partner keeps in touch with his brother in Australia and Bournemouth with it. He wishes it had been around when his mum was alive. She would have thought it was fantastic talking to someone via a computer, it's magic she would have said.
Mrs B, lovely thought about staying with Craig and family up in the Lake District. It's Pete's vegetables that are the problem. We've just been away, would need to be away for well over a week, and we go away as you know on the 2nd Sept for 2 weeks. His mate and Karen would water but as she has all those animals it's a lots to ask. Plus weighing and cutting up all his runner beans. Why do we grow vegetables like these when it's hot and would rather eat a salad. Well I would anyway when it's hot. You need masses of room in a freezer for them.
Steph, sorry you couldn't have your injection yesterday, and hope hubby's mum will be better soon.
Sandra, so sorry to hear you have an infection, and hope the antibiotics kick in soon. I'd be really proud of my girls as well, they are a credit to you. Hope it's not to much of a problem shopping with them, I know that girls are so fussy in what they wear. I know my grand daughters are.
Norah hope your hills are alive today.
Wow I've written a lot today. This was how we were when Sandra and Mrs B and I met up, we didn't stop talking and laughing for 4 hrs, and it wasn't all about
crafting either. Look forward to our next session girls. Anytime Sandra you need a pick me up you know where we are, so just email.

Good morning Sue and all the crew.
I can finally have some time for me today. Would you believe I was asked to make a box for a lady who's anniversary is next Sunday by her husband, then the lady asked me to make a card for her Husband. I have been juggling and hiding and then the same couple asked me for a baby card. As I'm a slow crafter it's been a lot for me. Needless to say I'm over the moon with my finished makes but I can relax again. And what a way to relax. I love both of your cards. Cute images made gorgeous with the Wilson Touch.
You amaze me daily. So thank you for that.
Hope you have a fab day one and all
Lots of love
Jo xx

Wow aren't we lucky 2 cards today. They are so cute. It's been too hot to think of Christmas but I still love looking at the cards.
Am feeling more positive today it's hard to do so but will keep trying.
Julie Laz if having the wheelchair will get you mobile please use it. I cried for hours when I had my first wheelchair, until a very young phsio told me quite harshly " You have a choice, use the chair and have a life or stay in and have nothing"
and she was so right. I know it's easy to say and hard to do. Please try it will make such a difference.
Steph , get those cards made so you can sell them, but don't overdo it.
My scooter is not a road one as I can't go out on my own, but now when we are out, I can look at things that I want to look at, and my husband is not nearly killing himself trying to push me around.
I am terrible at remembering all the names of people who need help or just need to say hi, so I am sending hugs to everyone.
Stay strong and believe that life can be better. Right I've ranted enough off to craft. Love to all Theresa x

Hi Sue
Today's cards just made me smile! They are both so cute and great for children to receive and make. I am hoping to use the gingerbread one this year for my Monday Kids! They can try to cut out too - well that's the theory. They just look so jolly. Craft card is just the right colour too.
I , too, like Pam have pre- ordered some Christmas dies.
They are all gorgeous. You will find them on Sunrise Crafts Website - they sent emails! Won't spoil it for everyone but the Angel is gorgeous! Have been a good girl until now and kept quiet! Remember this day - it doesn't happen often! Lol.
Thank you so much to all the kind ladies who sent me hugs yesterday and today! My back is easier today and so long as I stay still is ok! It's getting up and down that hurt most. Why is is that when you have a sore back you drop things more than usual?
Sandra - you were so right - impatience - was the cause. Sorry to hear you got an infection . Do hope you feel much better very soon. What lovely girls you have . x
Pam - so sorry about your foot and your patience has been amazing. So pleased about Robbie's Dad's visit . Think of him every day.
TOB - Theresa - that was a great rant! Thanks for thinking of me yesterday.
Sending love and thanks to all, including Anne, Brenda L, Steph - ( so sorry your appt. had to be cancelled , hope Mr L's Mum will make a good recovery), Lynne , Lynda, Tina, Tandy, Julie L, Wheelybad, Norah - missing you - hope you ok. Janet , Sheila, Margaret, and June.

Love both the cards Sue but the snowman is definitely more me (being Brit.!) than the gingerbread man. I think the way you have made the poinsettia is just lovely and very, very striking. Why do we love those flowers (saves me spelling it again!!) so much at Christmas time? Had an old friend who managed to keep her wonderful red flower,po...., for many years and it bloomed every year. Sadly she has passed on now but I still remember it as it always came out at Christmas. Again I visited mainland Mexico (for the day from a cruise ship) and they were blooming everywhere. What a magnificent sight. Sorry dragged on a bit today due to OAP but hugs

How we love a two-fer. My favourite is the first one. Possibly because the gingerbread man looks so delicious. Is that a bit wrong? Love the white crystal sparkler it reminds me of a snowflake. Snowman is cute too and the poinsettia stamp is a lovely shape. Looking forward to the resumption of your videos.

Hello Sue,
Wow a Two-fer day and two gorgeous cards they are, Love the Retro Sparkle background, it works beautifully with these stamps, but would look equally beautiful with a nativity scene, or Christmas trees, Note to self - this stamp is a good investment!
I love poinsettias and they always look brilliant on Christmas cards, this one is just gorgeous.

Looking forward to seeing your video demos with new dies next week, wow we are so lucky - you're spoiling us again.
Take care, love Brenda xxx

Steph - Hope you are okay also Mr L's mum. Hope Hospital appreciate why you had to cancel your appointment and give you a new one soon (if waiting too long ring consultant secretary and just explain, they are (I have found) caring and there to help you also.

Sandra - Your girls are a credit to you, you are doing an amazing job bringing them up, they will grow into very balanced and caring young ladies, you should be proud of yourself. I agree with you about the home economics, but our teachers have so much to cram into the very very busy curriculum. Your girls are the lucky ones, they are learning by example from you. LOL

Myra P - Take it easy! I know what you mean about dropping things!

Norah - are you OK?

Two gorgeous and cute cards today!
My personal favourite is the gingerbread man, I just love him!
I do like cute cards and these are right up my street. I cant face making xmas cards in this weather and will be getting all your normal dies before I even think about buying xmas stamps/dies.
I kept checking YouTube to see if any of the new videos were up and saw you had done 22 so far but they are all locked up, I am glad we don't have to wait much longer. I have really missed our weekly videos!!!
Saw your new Dies on Icon and they seem to be the best price so far. Will be buying from there nearer the time, knowing me probably around Oct/Nov as I only make handmade for family and those that appreciate a handmade card.
