Teal Medallion Birthday

Hello crafters!  Teal, lovely teal today.  Today's card uses the Justrite medallion stamps throughout.  I started by stamping it all over a piece of black card using a clear perfect medium pad.  I clear embossed them for a bit of interest to my background.  Next I stamped it on my teal card using a black archival ink pad.  I covered the piece with a sticky adhesive sheet, peeled the backing paper off and covered it with micro beads for texture.  I did a bit of matting and layering to help pop the piece out a bit. Then I stamped the medallion one final time in black on white card and cut it out with the matching Justrite medallion die.  I stamped the frame from the Always and forever set in black ink, cut it out with the matching oval medallion die.  I used broken China distress ink to highlight the edges while in the die.  I mounted it in the centre with foam for dimension.  I pierced the edges of the black mat as a finishing frame.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Oh, I love this teal and black combination. Fantastic embossing but I am kinda missing a bit of something shiny, maybe few rhinestones to give it a bling. Of course now the look is masculine and would go so well as a men's card.

Hope you have a lovely and relaxing weekend. Hugs, Eemeli

Morning Sue what a great card. The colours give it such a dramatic look! I love both these colours. I do have a teal colour card but didn't get it from C&C as they didn't stock it when I needed it! I made the seating plan and table settings for a charity ball my friend was doing for Bliss (babies born too small, too sick, too soon) the charity colour s a shade of teal so we used this as the main colour for the settings and table decorations etc. it was truly amazing! Hugs Sonia x

Hi Sue.My lace medallions and star dies arrived thus week so you have inspired me to try them. I've never used black as a dominant or even a second main colour. I have played with using it but always abandon it!
Hope everyone who has the heavy snow is ok, we are clear so far down London way - pity... Could do with a forced few days at home!! Keep warm all, what's your weather like where you are, Sue?

My new dies are waiting for me in the UK as I will not pay £15 pounds postage for them to be delivered to me hear in France.

Really like this card, I'm totally besotted with this stamp set its just gorgeous. Although i think your recent cards are super and less complex which is also great, i find myself missing your more girly style - having withdrawal symptoms for your usual finishing touches of ribbons and bows lol! I know you said you want to live outside your comfort zone this year but I kinda love what your style is in there so please don't forsake it altogether!!!

Hi Sue

Oh wow! I love this card. I've been looking for teal card without success. Apart from Create and Craft, any idea where you can buy it?

When I get some money I really must get some of the just rite stampers sets - they are incredible. I really want the set that includes the phrase to my forever friend - perfect for a few cards I can think of.

Thank you for all your incredible inspiration. You keep me going on cold, wintry days - and indeed sunny ones, when life just gets that bit too complicated.

Love

Jules
