Hi everyone! This is one of favs from the last shows, I was real happy with how it came out. I started with a background of coconut white card that I embossed with the Awesome Blossom embossibility folder. I wanted a larger size so I extended it a bit and embossed it again. It doesn't match up perfectly but if your card is busy enough, you won't notice. Next I cut out five frames from the Labels 27 dies set. One used the largest die and a smaller one inside, but the other four used the same size dies (the two just under the largest size). Holding the largest frame, I was able to hook the other four so they attached all the way around. That is one of the nicest things about this shape, there is the pointed areas inside that will hook over the flat areas on the other dies. Once in place, I tape them all from the back and added mounting foam pieces on all the sides except where they were hooked together. I attached this to my background with the mounting foam. I cut two strips of white and two slightly larger strips of blue card long enough to reach from end to end. I cut forks into the ends and added white Cosmic Shimmer glue dots along the edges. Once dry, I crisscrossed them through my label frames. I cut a small Decorative labels one out of white card to add to the centre. I stamped my sentiment on white card, then cut it out with a small Labels 27 and inked it with Stormy Sky to highlight it. I layered that piece on top in the centre to finish of my focal element. I pierced the edges of my card as a frame to finish my card. I think this layout would work very well for a masculine card too (always the hard ones, aren't they!) Whoever received the demo version of this one, though, got a butterfly placed in an awkward spot as I got white glue on the card where it wasn't supposed to be! All for now, Sue x

I think it is the colors I love in this card. Very nice
Beautiful card for men, not with that sentiment though

Hello Sue, Loved this card on C&C, so clean and crisp. The interlocking die cuts are amazing, would make a great male card with a different sentiment.
have a great day everyone.
Hugs June x
Love this on the show. Thanks for letting us have all the detail about its make up and the close up shots.
I love everything about this card, the colour, the design the clever way you have interlocked the dies, but one thing which still blows me away is how deep the embossing is from the spellbinder embossing folders. That texture, to me just adds so much more to what would still be a great card. top of the class ms wilson.
good morning Sue, love this card it works so well and i love the way it all locks together and i think for this reason it could be used as a base for a mans card especially in the colours you have used xx gail from eastbourne
Hi Sue
Fantastic card your so clever the way you have buckled the die cuts.Think this one is ideal for male cards which is great as they are so hard to do.
Hugs Annx without an "e"
morning Sue - a great card -love the colours - blue and white always goes down well with me - I think this one looks quite military and so therefore good for the fellows - lots of colours could be matched and so giving us plenty of choices. Thank you.

Morning Sue,
Nice card.
One for the boys?

Hi Sue, This design almost looks like a Windmill it looks so intricate but I am sure it is easy to make, your butterfly reminded me when I made my daughters wedding dress I caught some of the silk while embroidering the skirt, so I had to embroider 2 more gerbera daisies, one to cover the hole & the other to match & she never knew! Hugs xx
Morning Sue, love the way you used the dies on this card. Just waiting for my money box to fill up a bit more and then buying the blossom mbossability folder as its gorgeous.
hugs xx
Morning Sue,
Love the colours in this card, look very intricate.
Have a good day.

Saw this one on C&C & wow! This is great for a mans card as it looks "mechanical" in the way you have interlocked the them together like pieces of machinery. Great card & love the navy/royal blue & white xx Love Karen xx
Hi Sue,
Blue and white has a lovely clean-cut look. Agree with your opinion about this one being a great masculine layout. That's the first thing that struck me too.

Wow this card is amazing really like it Sue well done. Linda xxx
Thanks for this card Sue, saw it on Create and Craft and tried to recreate it for a mans card but couldnt remember exactly what you had done. Knew something was missing - it was the crating the frame - not using a solid shape. Nowe it all makes sense lol.
Love the card and will definately be doing my version of it now - thanks for sharing.
A very striking colour combo and love how the dies just seem to sit so nicely together.

Well Sue this is indeed an unusual card but very cleverly put together.

Sue the card is absolutely stunning, thank you. I received it from C&C a few days after the show (my name came out of the cup). Hubby was so impressed he has not said a word about my large delivery of Spellbinders. It has pride of place on display to give me inspiration.
This is really a fun card. I really like how the dies are interlocking and the buckles, as well.
Love the colors and how you've hooked the frames together and used the stripes as "buckles". Really like the look this gives.

I'm impressed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a blog that's both equally educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you've hit the nail on the head. The issue is an issue that too few folks are speaking intelligently about. Now i'm very
happy that I came across this in my search for something concerning this.
