Merry Christmas

Hello crafters!  I selected a piece of antique gold card for the background.  I covered a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing off and coated it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  I cut eight this strips of it and glued it across the gold card diagonal lines.  I cut two of the Looped Ovals in white and matted them and attached them to the background.  I cut the Stained Glass Candle with two pieces of white card.  The top piece of white card cut the entire die.  The bottom piece only cut the outside line.  I glued them together then cut out the candle with the holly around it.  I paper pieced the candle with gold card, the holly in green , the berries in red and the flame in orange and yellow. I sponged some yellow ink and added the candle to the centre of the matted ovals.  I cut the Merry Christmas sentiment out of the Christmas Wordie sheets.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  8"  in size.

The August die release blog launch is starting here tomorrow morning at 6am.  I hope you will join us here then!  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. What a charming card today. It's so nice that you show us all these different ways of using the stained glass dies - you don't have to use all of the die to make a lovely card.

A stunning card today, simple but really ffective. When I saw that background I thought you had already launched part 2 of the Christmas dies, then I read how you had made it, something we can all do. Thank you Sue, will be copying that idea.
