Happy Birthday

Good Sunday morning all!  Today's card is another one of those cards that uses up some of the leftover scrap pieces you have, always a good thing!  I selected several pieces of Glitter Kissed card from my scrap pile.  I cut them into 3/4" strips.  I used Lavender, Vintage Violet and Antique Rose Glitter Kiss on the strips.  I cut a white frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles and added mounting foam to the back of the frame.  I turned the frame upside down and attached the strips in a diagonal manner across the frame.  I added the frame to another piece of white card.  I inked the Petunia Stampcut die and ran it through my die cutting machine.  I used alcohol ink markers to colour it.  I attached it to the background with mounting foam.  I cut the Happy Birthday die in black and added it onto a white shadow backing piece, then attached it below the flowers.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6"  x  7 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue, hi to everyone that's popped in today. What an amazing sample with the beautiful silk glitters, the best quality you'll find as far as glitter is concerned and it stays put, it doesn't shed all over the place, it's a gorgeous background for your petunia stamp cut. Wishing someone we care about a Happy birthday is so easy with the beautiful tools you make available to us.
Hope everyone is feeling OK and have a lovely Sunday xxx

Good Morning Sue and all that visit this morning.
I love this card Sue. I love anything that can be made using leftover pieces of card. Between our three line dance classes in total we have around fifty ladies. They all receive a birthday card. These are all made with spare pieces of card from projects that are left over and would normally go in the bin. They are just CAS cards and are loved by all my ladies. So Thankyou for reminding us to waste not .
Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. Please stay safe and well 🙏
Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds.

Hi Sue. Nice idea for today's card, but, for me, the colours of the stripes are a bit too dark and so have ended up fighting with the flowers. Of course, the colours may look completely different in real life to how they look on my computer screen.
