Frosty Winter Wishes

Hi there my crafty friends!  I selected a piece of cobalt card to use for the background of today's card.  I cut the outer die from the Stained Glass Snowman out of  Silver Sparkle card.  I added some mounting foam to the back and attached it to the background.  Next I cut the Snowman die with a piece of black card on top and a piece of white card underneath.  I glued the black die cut to the white base piece that did not cut anywhere but the outside line.  I used scissors and nipped the snowman out of the scene.  I cut the snowman several more times to use for paper piecing.  I glued in the white, red, orange and black pieces to create the snowman. I glittered the white pieces for the snowman prior to cutting them. I glued it inside the frame and added some mounting foam to raise the top part a bit.  I cut the Frosty Winter Wishes sentiment in both white and black.  I shadowed the sentiment with the black die cut then nipped the word Frosty away from the rest of the sentiment.  I glued them inside the frame.  The card was completed with white and red mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and allthat comment today.
I must put the new festive Stained Glass dies on my list of needs, like most of our friends here I find paper piecing rewarding and relaxing (and an achievement if I've completed one with teeny weeny fiddly bits) but the large pieces make it so easy to get some beautiful cards with a beautiful effect, today's inspiration is just gorgeous and I love how you share your ideas with us.
Have a good day everyone xx

Hi Sue. I love this happy little snowman and the pretty frame and I do admire people that can do all the fiddly paper piecing as, unfortunately, my hands don't behave like they used to and I really struggle even with tweezers.

Good evening Sue, well I have caught up with all of your posts that I missed while away and there are some really stunning samples. My particular favourites have to be the Christmas die release, my favourite cards to make, but this year I must start a lot earlier. I think I also must add to my stained glass collection, I love today's snowman .
