Butterfly Stained Glass

Hello crafters!  I just love the simplicity of this Butterfly Stained Glass card!  I started by cutting the die out of white card and gluing a piece of acetate to the back of it.  I used the Crystal Tints and applied them to the acetate from the front of the die.  I used the Yellow Citrine, Blue Aquamarine, Orange Garnet, Lime Peridot Crystal Tints.  I set it aside to dry well, then cut one more of the dies and glued it to the top of the other die since there were a few places that the tip of the crystal tints had touched the die.  I added mounting foam to the back of the die to raise it and added it to another piece of white card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5 1/2"  x  6 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh wonderful, this was one of my most favourite of your dies when they were released, and I have made so many cards with them, this is amazing with the tints coloured on them. I also did some with paper piercing which is so easy, and the great tip about cutting another out to put on the top of the original to hide any colour smudges is so useful, thank you.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Perfection. Attention to every detail. My lovely beautiful dad was a perfectionist in all he did throughout his short life and this is what stands out with the close up photos, apart from this inspiration looking stunning I love the vibe it gives on a dark gloomy English morning. Summer - here we come xxx

Hi Sue and everyone who visits today. I think this is beautiful so bright and fun. It looks lovely, I had to make a stained glass window effect card at Christmas but of a Nativity scene. I couldn't find one out there so drew my own in glue and heat embossed, it would have looked fab with your crystal tints.
As I say beautiful card I love the clear and bright colours. Hugs for now Donna xx

Hi Sue, a gorgeous card today. I love all your stained glass dies and have made many cards with the ones that I have. People really love them whether they have been paper pieced, glittered or the most popular, using crystal tints. I think they are most suited to Spring and Summer (apart from the robin which is all year round) so it will soon be time to get them out again :-).
Looking forward to seeing your new dies in action, will you be popping into any of the shows?

Frances
