Sending Birthday Wishes

Hi bloggers!  I have a "sweet" card for you today (and no calories!)! LOL  I started with a piece of  red and cream polka dotted decorative paper from my stash.  I used the Double Pierced Noble Ovals and cut an aperture out of a piece of milk card.  I made a slightly larger red frame to go around it and added mounting foam to the back and added it over the decorative paper.  I made two borders using the dot borders from the Treat Yourself Cupcakes out of milk card and glued them to the top and bottom edges of the aperture.  I made two cupcakes using glassine paper for the sleeves and milk card for the tops.  I cut sprinkles out of red and brown paper and added them to both cupcakes.  I cut a large and small Stitched Flag out of milk card.  I added the word "sending" that I die cut to the larger one and stamped the smaller one with sentiment from the Big Ideas clear stamp set (designed to go with the single word dies).  I arranged them around the cupcakes in the aperture using foam.  The card was completed with milk, red and chestnut brown mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1.2" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. I know for a fact I'd react in the same way if I received a card like this as I did when it loaded - with a big smile, the choice of polka dot background really suits the occasion and brings extra. Oh this sounds stupid, I know what I want to say just can't put it into words it's too early to work the brain ! It's a happy bright cheerful sample that everybody would love to open on their birthday, it's a 'smiler' Happy Birthday if it's your day today.
Great start to a new week have a good one Sue xxx
