From Our House To Yours

Hi there my crafty friends!  I have so many Christmas cards that I need to feed a few in during the week, not just on the double day Friday posts!  I started by cutting the Netted Star Background and moving the die along to cut a rectangular background.  I backed it with a piece of coconut white card, then I used the centre die from the Eve die to cut an aperture in the middle of the card.   I added mounting foam to the back to raise it, then added it over another piece of coconut white card.  I cut the centre of the Eve die in white, then recessed it down into the aperture.  I cut the Eve die in white then cut the centre out and added it to the aperture.  I used the inner cut dies to add a thin frame out of antique gold card.  I cut the sentiment in gold and glued it to the centre of the card.  I cut the Classic poinsettias and sprayed them with glue and glittered them with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  I added the flowers around the aperture.  White and gold card mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. Your Netted Star die, is the most beautiful background for many occasion cards, add all your other dies including the very first dies you launched and you can't help but end up with something special or from those extremely talented very special. We believe you whole heartedly when you say you have many festive samples if your recent shows have anything to go by lol so bring em on ☺
Happy Birthday to your beautiful daughter hope you manage a quick chat with her today. Enjoy your day Sue xxx

The elegance, I think, comes from confining this to two colors, and choosing gold and white. Not to mention affixing every one of those pearls!

The recipe should probably say to put Eva’s outer decorative edge around the outside of the aperture.

Chris Curry, if you had a dog or cat or even a goldfish or turtle, you could use that sentiment. Or you could say you were using the Royal possessive plural.

Although if you did that, one of your friends might come over to check on you.

I kept that sentiment out of my stash, but I did give one to a friend.

Best to everyone,
Donita
