Hello all! I have been really wanting to share a few more of the new 3D embossing folders with you! For this card, I started by embossing a piece of
Slate Grey card with the new
Bountiful Blossoms 3D folder. I used
Silver Dream gilding polish over the top of the embossed piece (you can see it nicely in some of the close up pics below). For the focal element, I cut the
Diamond Squares Background out of silver card, then used the
Double Pierced Squares to cut it into a frame. I added a small raised frame cut from the same die set but out of white card. Next I cut the
Sophia die in white which fit over the frame area perfectly. I added the inner section of that die as a layer in white, then cut a thin frame out of the
Double Stitched Octagons and added it with foam over a backing piece that I cut with a
sticky adhesive sheet on it. Before adding the frame, I peeled the backing paper off, added the frame and the
Miss You mini expression. I used
Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz to fill in where the remaining adhesive was still exposed. White, Slate Grey and silver mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 8 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

WOW card this morning , so much different details. I love how the embossed blossom back ground works so well with the Diamond squares. The colour slate makes the card both great for the ladies and men. This is one of the cards I really enjoying reading how it was created and stands out that its a Sue wilson card.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, wow this sample is beautiful, I love it, I have always been dubious of using the gilding wax because I always get it in the places I don't want but you have encouraged me to try again.
Still got some snow here but the road is clear although a little bit icy.

I've seen all the new 3D folders and each one is just gorgeous. They are what I'm lacking in my craft stash and crafting life so in my opinion it would be rude not to own these, they enhance your samples so much and just help add to the wow factor I love how you've highlighted its beauty with the guilding paste. The complexity of this card seems to be its strength. Love the contrast between round and square, blossom and diamond. I wonder what colors would send this to the moon.

Hi Sue, a lovely card and I think that grey and silver make a very elegant combination. The new embossing folder is beautiful and I love using gilding polish/wax on my folders and although I still have to perfect my technique the results are usually pleasing.

I love this card...everything. I am quite a fan of grey used in place of black and just in general with white. I heard that one of our card mfg here in the states is dropping grey from its new line. A big mistake in my opinion.
I think Sophia is one of my favorites in the tags & frame collection along with Julia. I wish I had the Diamond Squares background as I have seen it a lot lately.
