Wednesday Card Giveaway

Hi bloggers!  I have been back at it with the pixie powders again!  I started by creating a pixied background using the Lava Red and the Candy Pink Pixie Powders for an intense colour.  I used the Cascading Hearts die set and cut it on the diagonal for the aperture.  I raised the background with foam.  I used a piece of coconut white card with a strip of sticky adhesive sheet added to it on the diagonal, then covered the sticky sheet with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  I added the background over it so the glittered area showed through the heart aperture.  Next I cut an outline in white for the aperture using both dies from the Cascading heart set.  I glued it to ht edge of the aperture.  In the upper section, I used the "just wanted to say" mini expression and added in the "Hello" mini expression, all cut in white.  IN the lower corner, I made three Passion Flowers and added glittery backings to them.  I pearled the centres and added a satin ribbon bow and leaves as accents.  White on white mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/4" in size.  If you would like a chance to win this one, just leave a comment to be entered into the drawing.  The winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post.  All for now, Sue x

Oh Sue, I'm speechless at the beauty of this sample. The pixie background, the cascading hearts, the bling and the stunning arrangement of your new passion flowers finished off with your lovely lovely mini sentiments, I just don't know how you could part with this. I know what I'd do if I were the lucky winner, I'd go buy a lovely plain box frame and mount this inside and feel truely honoured to display it on my wall. Thank you for the chance of this amazing gift and inspiration.
Love and hugs to you xxx

Hello Sue and all

Wow! So into pixie powders for backgrounds and flowers at the moment, this one is so pretty and beautifully simple, really allows the hearts and flowers to stand out.
Pixies are so much fun and you never really know what you are going to finish up with. I make some up of an evening and leave to dry naturally overnight, they change overnight and I haven't had to waste one yet.
A lot is thanks to your videos, you make everything look so simple and give us confidence to have a go Sue.
Hope hubby continues to improve Owlish (Joy),
Hug to all

I'm definitely getting into these pixie powders, having made a honey-themed design with the yellow and gold colours behind a cut through of the last gemini centre and the hexagons to make a sentiment feature.

I haven't tried this red combo yet, but this design has spurred me on to have a go.

Thanks for all your inspiration Sue.
