Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello there my crafty friends!  Today's card giveaway is a wisteria, white and black card with a bit of sparkly bling!  I started by using the Columba Gemini die on both sides of a piece of wisteria card (it is really a soft lavender, not grey like it always photographs!)  I used both of the decorative dies in the set with a single outside cutting edge.  I added 3mm white flatback pearls to the die cuts on both sides as accents.  Next I cut the Victoria decorative die four times out of white card and once out of black card.  I arranged two vertically to the outside, cut one in half across the middle and shadowed the last one with the black die cut.  I added a solid wisteria backing to the shadowed die cut and attached it horizontally across the middle.  I used the two cut pieces to fill in the gap between the two vertical die cuts.  I stamped a sentiment and cut it out with a small hexagon and added a slightly larger hexagon shape cut in black.  Next I cut a piece of black card and added strips of sticky adhesive sheet to each edge.  I peeled the backing off and added Black Onyx Glitterbitz to each edge for some sparkle.  I attached the background on top of it so it showed through all the cut out areas on the edges.  White, wisteria and black mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9" in size.  If you would like a chance to win this card, just leave a comment to be entered into the drawing!  All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue,

A lovely card for your Wednesday give away done with two of my favorite dies. It really is a shame that the wisteria color did not show up any better because it is such a lovely color. I wonder who the lucky winner will be, someone will definitely be happy.

I hope that you and everyone have a wonderful day.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a beautiful giveaway card for this year, someone is going to be a very happy bunny.

I cannot believe that this keeps happening to me, I type out all my comments, hit the comment button and I get an error saying that there was a conflict because someone else hit their comment button at the same time, the trouble is that the whole of my comments have now gone, so flapping annoying.

Pam I reiterate all you have said.

First day back today for my craft group, we are doing our own thing today because there will be so much chatter to catch up with, had a month off.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Good Morning Sue. I love the Wednesday give away cards, especially when they are lovely and lacy like this one. Even if I don't win I still love them as they give me inspiration for my next card. This one is no exception. It's beautiful. I have a dear friend, who I used to work with many years ago, and thankfully we kept in touch, she will be 80 at the back end of January. This will be perfect for her so Thankyou Sue. I know how much pleasure she will have when she opens something like this. I can't wait to get started now. Sending best wishes to everyone. Hi Sue What a beauty , i really don't know how you can give this away but i will have my fingers well and truly crossed , good luck every one .

Helen thank you so much for the information ,i spoke to Helen last night and she is very grateful and will look into it this morning .

My poor boy was in awful pain last night he still has not had the fluid drained ,i know how busy our Hospital staff are but to wait for 2 days and even after the Dr chasing it up ,,,,,,,well , I will just say i would like to see that drain in place by the time i get to the hospital today , i am not one for making a fuss but , i will certainly make myself plain .

Pam First of all thank you for the squashy hug for Andrew i think he really needs it at this time ,
What are your workplace like ? i think with all that goes on there it would make a really good carry on film lol, joking apart this is not funny i hope they get their act together and sort it all out.

Rosemary , Oh how lucky you are , get your best outfit ready girl .xxxxx

Thank you all for the kind messages i will pass them all on to Andrew .
I will echo Pam again today as i will have to do a double shuffle to get my jobs done before going to the Hospital .

Hi Sue,

I was showing a friend, (who had never seen a die before???) how they work and I chose Columba Gemini for my demo (always a winner) and she was absolutely gob smacked!! She couldn't believe that from a bit of metal something so intricate could be made. I have given her many cards over the years, but I don't think it had ever dawned on her, how they're made. I then let her make her own card for her Grandaughter! She was over the moon and a little captivated, so maybe we'll have a new budding crafter soon!

Beautiful Lacey card. Although the wisteria colour does not show up well on my iPad, I know it is a lovely delicate coloured card so I can imagine the combination of that and black in my mind.

June Smith - if the problem keeps recurring try always copying your comment before sending, it might help with the frustration I know you must be getting with constantly losing your comment. It only takes a second, and if the comment goes through the first time then you have lost nothing!

Hi Sue, I love this beautiful card it is so pretty and delicate. I know the wisteria card is a lovely colour but your design still looks good in grey. Love all the pearls around the edges of the Gemini as well. I will join the band of hopeful winners - that is everyone on the blog lol.

Elaine - so sorry that Andrew has still not had his treatment, hopefully it will be done by the time you get to the hospital.
June S - I echo Teresa in saying always copy your comment before trying to post. I was constantly frustrated with losing my comments (especially on the tablet which would shut down for no reason) so now I always copy before posting. Alternatively if it is a long comment I type in Word and then copy over.

Elaine, sorry that Andrew had not had the fluid drained, I sincerely hope that this has happened now. I wouldn't blame you if you kicked off if it hasn't. I know when my poor mam was in hospital with pneumonia among other things and I went to visit her, her room was absolutely freezing there was so much wind howling through a window that wouldn't close. I went ballistic and told the sister that if it wasn't sorted by the time I visited on the evening I would be making an official complaint. Surprise, surprise it was sorted before I left!! Sometimes, you just have to do it!!! Sending love and very gentle, caring hugs, Alison xx
