My Favourite Cards Of 2017

Happy New Year all!   I have trolled through all my folders from 2017 and selected the cards that I was particularly fond of throughout this past year.  The list, however, never includes any Christmas cards of which there were quite a few that I really loved, but I did promise that I wouldn't post any more until mid year or so! LOL  There is no particular order to these at all and you might agree that there is quite a wide variety in the styles as well!  There is everything from clean and simple, to really girlie to distressed and grungey, I like them all!  Let me know what your favourite is amongst the bunch!  I would love to know!  All for now, Sue x

Happy New Year to Sue and all Wilsonettes, I wish you all a very happy, healthy and successful 2018.
Beautiful cards all so very beautiful, can't choose a favourite bu I like the background if the To Cheer you esoecially , gorgeous start to our New Year. Starts off the excitement of what you will bring us Sue.
I hope everyone had a good time however you celebrate New Year, it was pretty quiet here, no fireworks hurrah.
Frances hope you feel better soon, plenty of rest and warmth fir you.
Elaine, you know my wishes for you and Andrew for 2018, Special hugs to you all.
Rosemary, lovely to see you, hope you are feeling better honey.
My good news to start the New Year is that my daughter Kelly (twins Mum) and her partner Bryan got engaged last night. Congratulations to them both .
My SIL and nephew go home this morning, I will miss them. We had a lovely morning at Lickety Splits yesterday, got to try their new delicious Christmas cake ice cream, my favourite Marzipan and Rose Turkush Delight, so yummy. Lots of chat, laughter and family, lovely. Diane, thought of you.
Donita, thinking of you, sending hugs and the Cadbury Chocolate lorry is on its way. Think of the Coke Christmas advert then change to purple wrappings.
Let's start our new year with good health, happiness, peace, caring and tolerance for all .and make 2018 the best year ever for Sues blog.
Special hugs to all, especially our poorly and missing friends.

A good morning and a Happy New Year to Sue and all the Wilsonettes. Fabulous cards, I can see why they are favourites. If I had to choose it would be the second one as it has a bit of bling, a bow and a flower - not to mention I love how the die is inset, but there are also a few others which really caught my eye. I would have loved to have seen your favourite Christmas cards though, as I'm having withdrawal symptoms!
Pan, congratulations to Kelly and Bryan, wishing then happiness.
Donita, sincere sympathy, having such mixed feelings is very difficult, I'll message you later.
I raised a glass (of apple juice, as I was in bed by 10 ready for work this morning) to Tracy and Graeme and all our other blog friends going through sad times. Wishing everyone health and happiness for 2018. Sue xxx

HAPPY NEW YEAR SUE COLIN and HEATHER.

Firstly I'd like to say a great big thank you for all the work you put into the blog last year. All the inspiration you shared the tips and continuous help you always provide to those that ask. And for all the amazing dies you gave us last year. For all the Giveaway cards and gifts your heart shared with us. You certainly are an amazing lady with the biggest heart ever and I'm proud and honoured to have found you all those years ago. I've learnt so much from you and ready to learn some more. So bring on 2018 and the first new designs of the year.
As for having to pick a favourite its just impossible, I adore the blue and white beneath your comment at the same time the Autumn designs with the barrow burnt orange and browns are amazing as is the Shadow Box. The Grunge samples shows the new die collection off brilliantly, so it's impossible to share a favourite as all are so perfect and beautiful in their own way.
I'm so looking forward to seeing what's in store over the next twelve months, to think you started small with floral dies and to see where you've got to in the design world just amazes me, through your designs you've helped us grow as crafters.
I'm now sending love and best wishes to all that enter this gorgeous blog today and wish you all a healthy happy and crafty 2018.
New Year hugs finding their way from a very dark but wonderfully quiet lane in Driffield to wherever you are Sue xxx

Dear Sue, Bringer of Joy,

These bear further study, especially in relation to the orphans. Why do they work? Why didn't the others? Thanks for putting them together.

I especially like the hummingbird and the last five, and of those, especially the Just Because, You Are So Sweet, and Love Blooms Here. Absolute favorite is Just Because. Or Love Blooms Here, because the colors look so good.

Doesn't it seem like 2018 just has to be better than 2017 was.

I would like to fall into step behind whoever struck up the band in praise of Sue. Not carrying one of those big drums, though.

Thanks to everyone who wrote. There is so much wisdom in this group.

love,
Donita

What a great array of cards to begin the new year - all appeal in different ways but I am drawn to the grungy Dream one for no other reason than it is so very different and is not one I would think of making. Love it. Thank you for all your very hard work and wonderful blog - life wouldn't be quite the same without it!

Hello Sue,

Happy New Year to you and all Wilsonettes!

I can see why these beautiful cards were your favourites, some of them were my faves too and inspired me to make my own versions...still haven't dipped my toe into the grungy style but have bought some cheesecloth so any day now I'll be having a go.

Donita - I was talking about the Platinum mangle!...lol..not that I'll be winding wet bedding through it though, just dies - you must have had mangles over there too before somebody invented a washing machine that spins the washing dry..?...and your Mum sounds very much like mine...'nuff said on that subject

Happy New Year, Sue, to you, your family and to all Wilsonettes.
What a great way to start 2018! You spoiled us again, and for sure we like to be spoiled. All these are beautiful cards. The first one caught my eyes immediately ... maybe because I don’t remember seeing it on the blog before. I especially love the colors and also the design and the elegance of it. Scrolling down, I recognized the rest of the cards and once again I fell in love with the soft colors of the hummingbird. Thank you for the daily dose of inspiration over the year,Sue. I feel so lucky that I found your blog because I learnt so much from you. Also I really appreciate your generosity of weekly giveaway cards, comment games and die launches... I bet you already have a new collection ready. I should start saving money, right?
Lots of hugs from
Still a newbie to Craft / not longer the newest, or the only across the pond Wilsonette

The first card "Thanks" tied with "Life is a Garden" for my favorites. They are all beautiful and hard to pick just one. Each stand out individually and can understand why you chose them. As 2017 ends and 2018 starts, I want to take a moment and say "Thank You for all the inspiration you share with each of us."

I hope the New Year brings you health, happiness, and the creative juices continue to flow. Please make more A-2 size cards and 5"x7" cards. The postage is so expensive here in the US to make the larger cards. Thanks for thinking about my request.

Good morning Sue and and all,
I love all of the cards you have shown today Sue. If I absolutely HAD to choose I would only say "Eenie,Meany, Miney, Mo" so that wouldn't help much would it?
My new Great-Granddaughter who was due on Dec. 29th. is still keeping us all waiting and I was really surprised yesterday (Jan. 1st.) when she turned up at my door with her Sister and her Mum. I hadn't seen her for 2 or 3 weeks and she looked HUGE and very uncomfortable. I have made a card for her and it was right there on the fireplace but I don't think she saw it.
Today I hope to start the mammoth task of sorting out my craft room. I will probably procrastinate for a few hours first.
A belated HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.
