Especially For You

Good Sunday morning all!   It's a bumper week for the Stamps To Die For range, here is another one to show you!  I started by embossing a piece of milk card with the Small Beaded Fanfare Pinpoint embossing folder.  I decided to use the opposite side of the embossing and I inked the edges with Antique Linen distress ink for a soft vintage look to it.  I stamped the Garden Song Stamp To Die For in black on milk card.  I inked it with Antique Linen as well and cut it out with the matching Bora Bora dies to create a frame.  I stamped it again but this time I just inked up the flowers on it.  I cut them by hand and coloured them with Distress markers and added them with foam on top of the flowers in the original for a 3D look.  I added a touch of glue to the petals and sprinkled a bit of Iced Snow on each of them too.  I stamped the sentiment (from a Phill Martins stamp set called Petite Scribbled Occasions Sentiments).  I cut it out with the Stitched Flags die set and added it across the card.  I inked it with Antique Linen as well.  The card was completed with milk card and duck egg blue card  mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  7" in size.

The winners of this week's Comment Game are:

Lynda's Craft!!!
Anne Prescott!!!
Sued99!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your card!  All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue, this is a lovely card, so gorgeous.
Congratulations to comment game winners, especially Lynda who needs a treat.
Tina, it will be good to get your downstairs back to normal, seeing the empty bed is too stark a reminder. Peter will always be there in every cirner of the house but it will help bring back the happy memories for you. A big comforting hug fior you.
Maria, have a wonderful holiday, never mind what they say, have plenty of Gluwein to keep you warm.
Elaine, hope all is going well with Andrew after latest treatment.
Steph, read your post yesterday, I too searched for ages for a tiny shoe die which had slipped under the zip on the storage folder. Spellbinders have brought out a big Sapphire shaped magnet which picks up all the small dies and holds them. I'm going to look into this as it is always the small ones that I have problems with.
PP, hope the visit us going well and that the parents are getting better. They won't want you to leave.
June, thank you and the ladies for being so kind, you make me proud to be part of you all.
Im feeling better so back to work tomorrow.
Hugs to all and especially missing friends too.

Good morning Sue. It's always a treat when you show a stamped card, and you always give us ideas on how to take it a little further than the basic image.
Congratulations to all the winners today and Hetty yesterday, sorry I forgot to congratulate you then, I just got carried away thinking about coffee!
Pam, take care of yourself when you go out tomorrow, we're forecast freezing temps in the NE. Special thoughts to Nanna Tina, Tina T, Elaine and anyone else who needs them. Hugs to all. Sue xxx

Sunday Smiles to you Sue from a cold and frosty Lancashire. Gorgeous, absolutely beautiful. I really think I need to revaluate the style of cards I do and start to invest some of these stamps to die for as they really enhance the the overall effect of your samples, your coloured and glossed flowers are stunning, in fact the whole card is just so very pretty. Folders, stamps and colouring pencils need to be added to my ever growing list along with the Lattice frames etc not forgetting the NEW very exciting brand new 'clever' dies that are due to be launched really soon ☺ I wonder if Andy would object to a few dies for his birthday this coming week - just a thought lol. I don't know if it's any warmer where you are Sue, but I'm freezing, another look at today's beautiful inspiration will soon start to warm me up. Many congrats to the three lucky comment game winners enjoy your gifts ladies.
Sending lots of hugs to you for the day Sue, first 2017 market today for me so hoping a few people have forgotten they need a card for something and I jog their memory when they see my pleading eyes looking back at them lol by for now xxx 😉

Fabulous card today Sue. I don't know where your ideas keep coming from but I'm not complaining.
Congratulations to today's winners. Enjoy.
Thanks for the tip about the magnet Pam. I put my dies on magnets while they are out but still manage to lose the small ones sometimes. They seem to bounce on the carpet and I spend ages looking for them. A stronger magnet would be great. Maybe that's what I need on my fingers too!
Crafty hugs to all who are suffering or in need.
Happy crafting.

Hi Sue
yes love the stamps also, I recall the old C/E stamping shows from C and C, most enjoyable and very inspiring they were too. Let's have a special Sue stamping show on Hochanda? 1 day if it's possible please ? as much as I love the dies too, think these beautiful and top quality stamps and what to make with them and how to use them esp for beginners, with which products (can be quite a maze) deserves more limelight and air time.
Today's card is a perfect example of sheer beauty. x
Sue I just love your colouring, how natural, beautiful and achievable it looks. x

Congrats to the winners. x

Lovely card, Sue, nice touch of vintage about it. Don't have any of the stamps (??) as colouring in is really not my forte, but occasionally - like today - get tempted!

Morning Sue and everyone
It is very cold here, but so much better than the wet weather. A stunning card today Sue with quite a vintage look to it. The music stamp is gorgeous. I really love those colours too. Pam, I have managed to lose one of my large square noble dies, which I think is buried under a mountain of craft stuff that is still on my desk from Christmas, I really must have a clear up. I have been saying that for ages, but never get around to it.
Have a lovely day everyone

Hi Sue
What a pretty card today, very vintage. I do like it when you showcase your stamps as I think they are often overlooked. My friend and I found quite a few reduced in a large shop the other day and had to be quite controlled even though they were a bargain! We then dropped in to our local craft shop who are having a ruthless clear out of things that haven't sold over the last 2 years and there were some of your dies. You can ima gine how stressed we were at this point! Haha. Thank you for sharing.

Good afternoon Sue and the wonderful Wilsonettes,
This is a such a lovely card sue from the style of card and dies used to the beautiful stamp of music making it something that i need to get to make a friends birthday card who is an ardent music lover. Does that give me enough of an excuse to need the ocean die complete set along with that beautiful stamp? ;D Hey you need to have the complete set so that you get the varying sizes of the dies to layer with, erll that's my excuse done for my next purchase. Thank you flower for a lovely card, those blue flowers remind me off Magnolias, only these ones are blue instead of pink.
Well done to all this weeks winners both here on sunday for the comment game and for yesterday for the bonnie card that Hetty has won, it can sit pride of place above you in your crafty corner giving you inspiration.
Oh it's nice to see that you are feeling a whole lot better Pam and that you are fit to go back to work. I know you don't like being off your work and to be off ill is even worse but you will be oh so much more able to think straight and instead of being so run down. I know that i have had the flu since before the new year came in and only just stopped coughing although the nose at times is still running faster than the feet but that's nothing unusual as anything can run faster than my feet and legs now, lol. Have a good day tomorrow flower x
Tina flower, you will feel oh so much better even just seeing clean windows and nets. Funny how simple things like cleaning the windows can make such a difference to us. I hope that in your "close climbing" that you were careful flower as ladders are notoriously ricketty and the higher up you go on them, the more ricketty they seem to feel. Try and have a good day out today and you're as bad as i am in August for birthdays, but Tuesday is going to be tough flower and i am even going to try and tell you it's not but please try and think of Peter and his past great birthdays that he has had. Sending you some hugs for you and Owen.
Elaine, i hope that Andrew is getting his fighting spirit back but sending you both hugs and he hasn't got much more to go. I hope that his Helen is coping a bit better as she is going through her own trials, so hugs coming her way as well.
June, it's nice to see you back on your two feet with no pain hopefully and that the knee is behaving itself. No highland flings as it doesn't have knock a rise out of your legs and knees, ;)
Well i would love to be able to tell you that it is a glorious day here at Costa de Glenochil but it would be an out and out lie as those miserable clouds have pinched my hills and it's that horrible smirry rain that has been falling all day. We're going upto Perth for high tea with Campbells daughter, my step daughter and her husband and her mother in law, so Kirsten, Ryan and Harry are following us up as our car can't take 6 unfortunately. So i will leave you all with hugs for all the lovely Wilsonettes/honary Wilsonettes that need, want or could just do with them,
Love and crafty hugs

To My Wonderful Dear Friend Sue
You've Done It Once Again Today's Card Is "A First Class Masterpiece"
I Love The Colour Palette You've Chosen, Placing Your Milk Card In "The Beaded Fanfare
Pinpoint Embossing Folder" The Detail Is So Luxurious, And Extremely Tactile.
I Just Love "The Stupendous "Garden Song" Stamp" From "Creative Expression Stamps To Die For Range"
Then Cutting It Out With The Matching "Bora Bora Die Set" Then Stamping It Once Again And Cutting Out
The Flowers By Hand, Then Colouring Them.
Once Cut Out Attaching Them On Top Of The Flowers On The Stamp By Adding Mounting Foam To Give A Little
Raised Dimension, Adding One Of Phill Martins Tremendous Stamps For The Sentiment (I've Just Received A Couple
Of His Sets Of Sentiment Stamps) This Particular Stamp Set Is Called "The Petite Scribbled Occasion Stamp Set" The Font
Is Truly Exceptional.
I Also Would Very Much Like To See More Of "The Stupendous Stamps" Being Used On "Hochanda" Incorporated With
Your Formidable Dies, The New Range Of Stamps Which Has Been Released Are Remarkable, But It Would
Be Splendid To You Using Them Within Your Videos Incorporating Your New Dies, If Not Possible Would Really Love To See
Lots Of Them Being Used Within The Demos On "Hochanda" Again Incorporating Your Extremely Exquisite, New Dies.....
Thank You For Sharing And The Daily Inspiration I Truly Appreciate All That You Do.
Sue Take Great Care
Wonderful Warm Fond Wishes To Colin And Heather

Hi Sue and lovely ladies
very pretty card today, love the colours and the musical notes on the stamp. I love all your cards Sue but have especially loved the cards from the last couple of days too, right up my street.
So sorry my comments are a bit sporadic but just want to say that I love this blog and want to send hugs to everyone who needs them and a special hello to all who have been so nice to me over the time I have been on here, especially Maria Alder, Lynda B, Wheely, June, Myra Lancs, Laine, Princes P, Wheely, P in Wales. Please forgive me if I've missed anyone.
Love and blessings

Lovely card.

I am sure that I am not the only one who forgets that so many of your dies sets have matching stamps that, when coloured with our choice of colours, can give our cards a different dimension as you have shown.

I have to confess to having many stamps which are under/never used. What a great card design to start me off again. I love the colour scheme too......BarbaraC

Playing catch up again. I do love this stamp and thanks to the
matching stamps and dies i have started getting into stamping again.
This stamp is fantastic how you have used it with the flowers or left simple for mens cards.
Another one i need to get as i have the die.
This card is right up on the top of my favourites list.
