Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi bloggers!  Today's card giveaway is one of the demos from my past shows in June.  It is always nice when I have an duplicate card to giveaway!  I selected milk card for the background and cut two wide strips and embossed them with the Jacobean Floral embossing folder.  I matted both pieces with a thin milk mat and added mounting foam to the backs.  I cut two of the Belgian Borders in milk and used them on the inside strips of the borders, but since the borders were shorter in length than the embossed strips, I cut them and placed the pieces to the inside top and bottom of the strips,  The centre section where the cut edges were I was easily able to cover with the focal element.  I stamped the Sweet Summer Stamp To Die For in black and used Distress markers to colour it.  I covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet and glittered it with Diamond Snow then cut it out with the matching Antwerp die shape.  I cut the centre out as well to create a frame.  I added a decorative centre using the Brussels die in milk card and seated the frame over it with mounting foam.  I added a sentiment cut from the centre oval.  Finally the card was accented with milk and blush coloured Poppies of various sizes cut from the Exquisite Poppy die set and a messy bow of ivory satin ribbon.  Milk mats and layered were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/2" in size.
Please leave a comment to be included in the drawing to win this one.  There will be a slight delay in announcing the winner as we start a five day blog launch for the next die release here in the morning!  I will announce the winner of this card after the blog launch has finished.

Stunning card for the Wednesday giveaway, someone will be delighted.
Lynda, hope all goes well with the angiogram, Robbie is doing great, he has just completed six weeks as a camp counsellor for sick children, that was where he was going the day he had his terrible accident. He still requires a wheelchair at times, can walk some distance with walking sticks which he prefers to crutches but his internal organ damage has not healed, however he doesn't let it stop him, he is now back at college and living on campus. The kids adored him and he was a role model for them. He is our hero.
Tina t and Mick, hope today is better for you.
Elaine, my daily wishes for you and Andrew, Tina T and Peter too, I hope for a better day for you.
Myra, you are always nice, if a bit mischievous with the Princesses at times.
Sandy welcome back.
Tracey, hope the trip to Ireland is not tiring you out. Remember you may leave dads ashes in the land of his ancestors but he lives in your heart.
Hugs to all.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, beautiful card today for a giveaway.

Pam, I keep meaning to ask after Robbie, so pleased you have added comments about him today, you must be so proud of what he has achieved following the accident, what an inspiration he is to everyone including all the sick children, also to being back at college and living on campus, fantastic news, made my day. sending hugs to him xx

Tracy - Pam has left a lovely comment for you regarding your Dad, it brought tears to my eyes (remembering my own wonderful Dad) but so true.

Sending best wishes and hopefully happy times for Lynda, Tina and Mick, Elaine and Andrew, Tina T and Peter, Princess Pixie, Myra, Yvonne and anyone else I have forgotten.

Going to get ready for my craft club this morning, doing Sue's shaker card, I made 4 of them yesterday all with a bit of a difference and am pleased how they turned out - I did have a problem getting the acetate to stick to acetate even with the CS glue, but got it to work in the end with some dst and the glue, so happy with it.

Who is going to watch the para Olympics - come on Team GB xxx

Looking forward to the blog launch tomorrow Sue.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Wonderful card. I think my mojo has returned. Or else watching lots of craft over the summer has sunk in and given me a boost.
Can't wait for the blog launch. But will wait til you are on hochanda to get anything. I usually buy what I fancy then find the bundles you offer include one die I've got and so does the other bundle. And the best savings are with the bundles or when the dies are released Shame we can't do pick and pick.

Have a great day

Morning Sue. What a beautiful giveaway card, boy we are sooo lucky to be given the chance to own this gorgeous sample. My Wednesday win a few years ago may have been one of the festive samples but it's on show in my craft room all year round and it reminds me just how lucky I was to find Particraft and you.
We shall be starting out few days away later and I was concerned that the hotel wouldn't have free WiFi, but after reading through their website, I'm chuffed that I will be able to see your wonderful inspirational samples for your new collection. Each new launch is successful and standing room only for 5 days, but these new dies are just amazing and I'm so excited for you as I'm sure your nerves will be starting to tingle a little, but don't be nervous Sue, they will be a sure sell out in no time at all.
I'm sending my usual hugs to you for today and hope it's a worry free happy day for you xxx

Muriel - I thought you weren't allowed to grow anything other than native Aussie plants?...I'm pretty sure that I saw non-native plants being confiscated by Customs officers on some reality show once...but I was thinking about your bluebells yesterday as I was planting some in my garden, (nursery-grown bulbs, I didn't dig them up from the wild!))and will be doing the same this afternoon as it's a lovely late Summer's day here...

Myra from Florida. Sue, I have an 8 year old crafter. Granddaughter of friend. She is going through stem cell transplant at Duke University. I would love to send you a picture of her with your card. It would get a good home, and make her very happy. Also, help make a card crafter out of her when she's all healed by God, as we're all praying for. But at the very least, you followers of Sue that pray, say a prayer for Emily. Just say grow cells grow and God will know who you're talking about. Thank you, friends of Sue.

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Superb card and a more than worthy example of your endless generosity, one very fortunate Wilsonette will have their craftroom adorned splendidly by this little beauty. I particularly admire your stamping and colouring, both really bring this card to life in a burst of fabulous pink shades, your talents are limitless my dear. YOU are Amazing:-)
Like my spiritual twin Princess P, I am struggling slightly today with my energy levels, I though, am not suffering from the effects of an afternoon of unbridled debauchery....mores the pity...instead it's because I didn't get to sleep until after 3am and for once it wasn't Miss Darceys doing. I guess I had a lot on my mind yesterday, I saw a friend for the first time since June and she told me that she'd taken an overdose in July during a bout of depression. It didn't come as a shock, she had just split up with her boyfriend who couldn't deal with her health problems and her only lifeline, her car, was taken from her when she failed the medical element of her driving assessment.....a lot to have to process at once and it just tipped her over the edge. Yvonne's sentiments yesterday really resonated with me, you have to grab life's gifts when you can and take the time to appreciate what we have not just mourn what we may have lost. Humour is an essential coping mechanism for me too and I try to find something to smile about in all that life has thrown at me over the years, it helps immensely, laughter is the best medicine so I tried to make my friend smile, even for a short while, I just hope that it helped her.
It perked me up no end to learn that the long anticipated Blogathon will begin tomorrow:-) I am so excited to see the fabulous examples created using your new collection, they really bring the dies to life and help me prioritise which I simply can't live without a moment longer:-)
Wishing health and happiness to those that have been struggling with health issues such as Tina& Peter, Tina& Mick, Wheely Bad, Elaine & Andrew, Maria and Yvonne.
Hoping for a speedy return to Beth, Rebecca, Jan, Lorraine, Linda, deb C and Saba
Usual hugs to Pat, Pam, P, Frances, Theresa,Lynda, Alison, Myra, Maureen and anyone in need of a cuddlexxx

Beautiful card. Love the embossing folder and the way, in which you have used it. Nice to see some colouring on a stamp used in this way, makes me want to get mine out to play with.

Hello my lovelies.
Sue, today's card is beautiful and I love all of it.
Wow another blog launch now that's going to look bad if I manage to comment! Really don't understand why I haven't made it in here much. I apologise to all my blog buddies, I will try harder.
Having a reaction to the ginger I put in our dinner last night, I have an extremely sore tummy. I thought it was only chilli that did this to me.
Sending love n hugs to you all xxx
