It's A Girl

Hi bloggers!   It was a great weekend at Ally Pally and I just want to share the photos that were taken that people sent back to me (as in not with my own camera).  They are below the card pics!  It looks like everyone was having a great time!   I just love being able to put faces with names!  I met so many more of the blog followers (including Princess Pixie and Lorraine!  Although I don't have a picture of them to post, you may have seen them on my Hochanda show as they were on camera with a question!)  On to the card now!   You seemed to really like the new baby collection from the release last week so here is one more!  I like this one as it uses one of the new Frames and Tags die and the alphabet in a bit of a different way.  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Dot Matrix Pinpoint embossing folder.  It is a smaller folder so I lined it up and did a bigger section with it, very easy to do with the simple repeating pattern.  I cut the entire Art Deco Lower Case Alphabet out of some dark pink card (from my stash)  I adhered the letters on to two strips of sticky adhesive, keeping them in order but varying the height and position.  Once done, I covered the remaining exposed adhesive with Diamond Sprinkles.  I matted both strips with the same dark pink and glued them to the top and bottom of the card. For the focal element, I cut the Madeleine die in white and nipped it in half.  I mounted it towards the edge of the centre section of the card and cut the Onesie die in Blush card.  I embossed it for texture with the same folder, then added the bib in white and cut one more bib which I nipped apart to add to the edge of the sleeves and leg opening to look like lace.  I glittered the duck from the Little Treasures set and glued it to the bib.  I added a dark pink It's a Girl in the centre of the Onesie.  I attached it to the card so the Madeleine die showed to the edges of it, but it covered the cut edge of that die.  I completed the card with a white pierced mat, a dark pink mat and a final white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x  8 1/4" in size.

The winner of the Wednesday Card Giveaway is:

DeCor!!!

Congratulations!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your card!

Lisbeth, June Smith, me and Helen Bell
Biana
Marie Brookes

Mrs. B, and her Mom (I think), Little lamb Brenda and her granddaughter Scarlett, me, Sandra Riley, Maria and Pat Whitney
One more picture that I was just sent, taken by Lesley S.   Guess who this is???  Yes, Lorraine Eastwood and Yvonne G (or is she is now know as Princess Pixie!!)  In case you were wondering, they were very well behaved too (rather unlike them both I might add, but they have just been overwhelmed by the spotlight of the studio on them during the show! LOL)
All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a beautiful keepsake card today for a very special baby, I love the little duck on the bib which has the iced snow on it, so cute.

I was up early this morning and read through the blog from yesterday and then have just spent a really wonderful hour watching the Hochanda show from AP, Sue that was a great technique about the snow globe die, I am going to try that out later today.

It was fantastic to see so many people from the blog, Elaine aka Princess Pixie and Yvonne, I saw the red carpet it followed you every where you went...... and a great question to. Look at the lovely photo's, everyone was having such a brilliant time which is reflected on their faces, an amazing show.

Congrats to Décor on your win, you will enjoy this.

Helen - it was wonderful to meet you at AP and I didn't realise you were nervous at all, so don't worry about it, the photo is really lovely, and also Lisbeth, a really nice group.

Elaine - Andrew, enjoy the fishing and walking the dogs.

Tracy - Hope your work meeting goes well

Tina, Mick, Tina and Peter, always in my thoughts.

Next time (April 2017) we will arrange a time for a photo shoot at AP so we can get a few more people together and also arrange to meet up within the seating area, we can then all chat away to our hearts content.

Sue I hope you get a chance to chill out a bit today xx

My breakfast has just arrived (hubby is wonderful) so I will finish now.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Good morning Sue, and crafters all,
What a clever card today, the Onsie die and alphabets are the only dies missing from my baby range. So they will have to fly into basket.
Where the waves done on the duck card last week (launch) with the new stitched frame lattice die????
Congratulating Decoron her Wednesday give away.
Loved the show from ALLY PALLY also recorded all the CE's shows.
You all looked great at Ally Pally, nice to put faces to some of your bloggers!!!!!
Well one more day and we hopefully will get a treatment plan. Peter is certainly eating better, devouring scones made with buttermilk straight from the oven!! Then with butter, jam and clotted cream.
Love and crafty hugs

Morning Sue. Refreshed and still buzzing on the adrenalin after the excitement of yesterday, or still a bit weary after being so non stop for two days ? You looked lovely yesterday, although I know how it feels to have a small work space that gets smaller and smaller with each minute ! Oh Sue, the 2nd demo you did, the red and white CAS star card was absolutely gorgeous, so fresh looking with that pop of red, just the kind of card that sings to me, and the 3 stars in a row card that was held up several times was another absolute beauty, I thoroughly enjoyed watching you, and was so relieved the audience 'behaved' as I had my doubts it has to be said. Fancy you being concerned that we wouldn't love and appreciate the New Additions collection as much as you did when you designed them, after all the posts of admiration during launch you now can breath easy, and know that we love them so much, this card is beautiful Sue, there is so much we can do with this set, so many fun designs and projects waiting to be made and given, a very precious collection for precious New Arrivals.
It would be lovely to think of you putting your feet up today after a very busy few weeks, but knowing how you have told us how you fill your days I doubt that will happen some how, but I hope you get an hour or so to draw breath !
Sending you my usual hugs to start the day with and thanks for a great show.
Congrats to Decor in your win, welcome to the club.
Have a good day Sue xxx

What a pretty card, Sue, just love it. Sadly, no babies coming our way any time soon to need these, but quite taken with the font on the alphabet dies.
Good to see the show, don't know how you managed with so little space to work in for the demos. Wish they'd shown a bit more of the audience, but there was our wee demure lassie Laine with a question, but don't know on which side was the PP? Didn't they behave well!! (Or was that only on screen?)
Great photos too - please could anyone in them say who they are?
Pleased that the poorly menfolk have found their appetites - not long for appointments now.

I had a fab day at AP I would have come and said Hello but every time I walked past your stall there was so many people around I couldn't get the chance And I walked past you loads of times hoping to catch your eye Never mind there's always April!
I think I've already mentioned (quite a few times probably!) that I love all of your collections from Day 1 - how many years is that now BUT the New Arrivals have really stolen my heart I haven't bought them all but pretty much most of them! I by-passed the Onesie purely because I'd spent up both cash and plastic! There's always my birthday next month
Love today's card I probably wouldn't have thought to emboss it and to snip away the bib to add "lace" to the legs - pure genius I can also see the Onesie cut from baby patterned paper Love it Hope you've managed to have a rest after your exhausting week end

Hi Sue,
Just wanted to pop in and say how fantastic the show was this weekend, so easy to get round and plenty of space for sitting to eat, drink or in our case chat! The whole group of us had a great time, 5 pm came around way too fast! It was lovely to see some new exhibitors too.
Love today's card and the new collection, you have certainly spoilt us with choice!
Thanks for the continued, daily inspiration Sue.
Love & Hugs

Hi Sue and everyone

What a cutie of a card. I love how the onesie was been embossed with the same folder as the background, and the lacy edging to the legs. I also liked the alphabet strips, reminded me of the rhyme we used to sing to learn it as a child. The tune just popped into my head and made me smile. I've just found out today that one of my nephews and his wife are expecting again. I have a great choice of dies to choose from now...

I'm really glad you enjoyed your weekend Sue, and it's great that you met so many of your blog followers. Nice to see so many smiling faces on the photos that you've posted and it is good to put faces to names. I recognised Sandra as I met her last year, but even though we were there on the same day I did not see her. I suppose I was too engrossed in shopping! I also remember Yvonne from last year too. Lovely to see her and Lorraine in the audience on Sunday. They were very elegant and well behaved. I did really think that Yvonne would have a tiara on though.

Thanks for your comment June, it was lovely meeting you too. I'm glad I didn't appear nervous to you, but I get myself in a right state inside sometimes. The photo is lovely and I don't look quite as bad as I expected.

Really enjoyed watching your show on Sunday Sue and the gorgeous cards you made.

Congratulations to Decor on your win.

Love Helen xxx

Beautiful card Sue!
The baby dies have been so popular with everyone. I was at Craftworld today in Hillington and your dies were flying out the door.

Hi Sue. WOW !!! I love todays cute baby card !!! I love that you have embossed the baby onesie. It looks great, and so does the bib. A lovely idea to use the lace edge of the bib around the legs to. The little duck is absolutely gorgeous !!! He is Sooo cute !!! Your new alphabet dies are on my wish list Sue, along with most of your new baby dies. I did buy the "it's a girl" and "it's a boy" dies and also the gorgeous "stuffed animals" dies at Alley Palley. ( Just in case I have to make a last minute New Baby card. ) I will gradually collect the others when funds allow. I really love the whole of baby collection. For me personally they are all "must have" dies. Thanks for sharing this beautiful card today. Sending you lots of love Sue from Tres x x x

Sending lots of love to everyone from Tres x x x
