Stocking Tag Holder Card

Hello bloggers!  You saw this die set used on yesterday's blog post with candy canes instead of a gift card.  Today's video shows you how to use it and add a decorative sentiment tag so there are many adaptations that can be made, you do not simply have to use it for a gift card holder!

The winner of this week's Wednesday Card Giveaway is@

Bridget CG!!!

Congratulations!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your card.

The finished dimensions are 7" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue and crafters all,
Love this card, it would be lovely to receive a card like this with a gift card in the stocking. So versatile , love the paper piecing.
Well I got a phone yesterday morning from Peter saying "come and pick me up" so for a while I have him home, still with the kidney drain in, he actually slept for 8 hours last night. He has to go back in as and when the treatment plan is sorted. Thanks for all the good wishes.

You can't show enough inspirational ideas of how to use this die as I said yesterday, it's one I'm looking forward to using many times, not only for children's cards, but for the older children too, they will have their own basket on my table at market, so I won't mind you flooding the blog with ideas lol. Still doing a happy dance over your new collection and really looking forward to seeing your samples.
Have a great holiday Sam in your second home.
Well done to the Wednesday card winner enjoy your personal gift from Sue.

Hi Sue
Cannot wait to watch this video as I'm making gift cards this year for young and old, not sure which of your new dies to get first they all look stunning well done again
Mick after all his good eating has unfortunately lost 3lb in the last 3 weeks so we have to up his suppliments and see what he's like in 3 weeks and if no change he might have to have a peg fitted into his stomach but if it improves he won't have so after she left he ate 4 vienese whirls, 2 tunnocks teacakes, toffee crisp, egg chips, gammon and pineapple and 2 mini rolls and a high calorie milkshake
Hugs to all for all your kind words
Happy crafting
Love and hugs to everyone

Gorgeous card Sue. Will have to try making something like this for the Grandkids gift vouchers.

My PC die after faulty/corrupt windows update caused the blue screen of death. I had to reinstall the operating system. Glad it was fixable but it will take some time to install my programs... so no crafting for me until it's done.

Hope everyone has a lovely crafty weekend.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, wow Sue you have done it again, given us a gorgeous creation, using the stocking die, I might have to investigate getting this one.

I had a really lovely lunch yesterday with my friends, laugh a minute, when I got home my hubby said, 'it took you 3 hours to have a lunch - was it a banquet' little does he know what it is like once us crafters get together.

Tina - Gosh Mick will go off bang eating all of that, but I bet he enjoyed it, let's hope that it works and he doesn't have to have the peg fitted, hugs to you both.

Elaine - Let's hope it is soon that Andrew has the tube fitted for the injections to start, good news about the lymph glands, once the treatment starts fingers crossed it will get rid of the little bit of tumour they found.

Tina - So pleased for you both that Peter is home and had such a good nights sleep, nothing like your own bed is there, hope he get the results of the scan soon.

Princess Pixie - got a question for you - does the postman salute you when he delivers the mail including the dreaded gas bills?? - Also when I fall over whilst curtseying I hope your staff are handsome and strong, it will be worth it then (mind you they might have to have a crane on hand to lift me haha).

Maria, hope you are feeling a bit better today.

Lynne - I bet it was so lovely to have your daughters and their families staying with you, tiring but wonderful memories to store.

Sam - hope you have a wonderful holiday

Maureen and Myra, you both make me laugh so much, I pmsl, brightens up my day.

Bejay - hope the kitten is settling in nicely with you.

Congratulations to Bridget, enjoy.

Have a very happy Saturday everyone whatever you are doing.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Blimey, Nanna Tina, no calorie counting going on there! Hope it ups Mick's weight - we would be fat as barrels (more so than usual!) if having 1/10th of that lol. Have followed his diet with a degree of envy. Wot no veggies?!
Tina T - great for you to have Peter home.
Bejay - another one for our furry family, lucky you - name, colour, etc please.
Hugs to all and well done to Bridget on the card win.

Hello Sue,
I'm I allowed to say that I like today's card much more than yesterday's? I hope so because I have just said it! I think the little card/ pocket is a great idea! Love today's colours as well .
Tina - Glad Peter had a good nights rest - nothing quite like one's own bed!
Elaine - so pleased Andrews treatment can begin very soon.
Tina - I can put on weight just looking at a Tunnocks Tea Cake!
That reminds me June - Maureen likes Tunnocks Caramel wafers and she is a most generous lady! She cut one up and gave me a quarter once! Having said that - as they are my husband's favourite she sent him a whole packet by post!!!
Princess Pixie - I am honoured to receive a Royal Hug! May I return the favour - not sure of the etiquette in these matters! Hug! ??
If I don't comment tomorrow ladies I'm in The Tower!
Tracy - miss you - hope you are alright! Hugs .
Well, it's raining here but the sky looks brighter now!
Love to all, Myra xx

Sue this is a fabulous christmas card, i really like the black with
gold and silver.
And wonderful that you can add a gift card or the candy canes from yesterday.
I had to have this die as soon as i saw it along with the greeting die
but not had a play with it yet.
I also love the background with the adornment die as that would look fab with a lot of your dies so i am going to have to get that one.

Suzzette Yandle said...

Such an unique Christmas card and stylish too! Your video for making this card is very helpful. Thank you! I would not have though to place the sticky sheet backing behind the gift card area so the gift card would not stick to the background. Clever you are to replace bits and pieces of the cut away areas back into the design to give dimension to the card design.

Unknown said...

Good afternoon lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

You are going to get really tired of me dribbling all over your fabulous Christmas cards before the season is even upon us Sue but I just can't help myself....just keep me away from any of your samples at Ally Pally:-) I adore this die, it's multifunctional AND gorgeous so what more could a crafter ask for in a festive die. I love how versatile it can be, gift tags, tokens, candy canes the list is endless and the design would suit men, teenagers, younger children or the young at heart. The colour scheme is striking and it's very difficult to choose which I would like most when comparing it to yesterday's little gem. I have earmarked a multitude of Christmas dies to add to my die family, and this fabulous die is on that extensive list.
Apologies for my absence yesterday, it had nothing to do with my unfortunate fall though I am a bit battered and sore, rather, I just had a super busy day. Had an appointment with a lady from the Council who is overseeing my Respite Holiday money, she came to finalise the forms and explain the rules....boy are there loads of complex rules to adhere to! The money pays for accommodation but not travel or food, however if you book an all inclusive holiday abroad say, you can pay for food and flight in the price!??!Confusing or what? I think that I might just do that and visit somewhere warm and sunny, we haven't had much of a summer north of the border and it would be nice to relax on a beach sipping cocktails served to me by a topless waiter with a six pack.......:-)
Speaking of six packs, it's peachy bum season again:-) Strictly is back tonight and I am so excited! No Gleb though which is disappointing but I'm sure I'll cope...eventually:-( A new die launch imminent and Strictly in the space of a couple of days, I am so happy:-)
Bejay, more details about your new little fluff ball, colour, name, gender etc please, I really wish we could post photos on the blog because I would love to see your new addition:-)
Tina, good news that Peter has returned home to his own bed, it makes such a big difference, take carexx
Tina, Wow, Mick must have hollow legs! Anyone else would put on three stone just looking at his daily meal plan. All joking aside, I know how critical it is that he doesn't lose more weight so I hope that you can find a solution...my consultant suggested ice cream with melted Mars Bars drizzled over the top, mmmm
Maria, I hope you feel better today honey, sending hugsxxxx
Tracy, I hope everything is okay with you, missing your posts, I do hope you haven't had a pixie dust related accident!
June, glad you enjoyed your lunch date, hugsxxxx
Myra, off with your head!:-)
Yvonne, it seems that our fellow bloggers have taken your self imposed title seriously, hard to imagine I know, given your poor social skills and common manner:-), I'm certainly not expecting Buckingham Palace style surrounding and serving staff...George doesn't count! There will be no curtsying or fawning and don't even think of sending me to the Tower if I get too lippy:-)
Loads of hugs to all my blog besties, Frances, P, Pat ,Pam, Beth, Rebecca, Alison, Deb C, Jan, Theresa, Lorraine, Lynda and lindaxxxx
