A very striking card indeed although I am not so sure about the teal and black combination. This is the first time I have seen this older die in use and really do like the mix of old and new. The frame is great. I have yet to use my striplet so I think this is the one for the next birthday card to come up. Thank you for revisiting older collections and I hope you will do this again in the non too distant future.

Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
This is a lovely card Sue even though it has that great big black frame (hey you know me and black have a love hate relationship) The Spanish collection is my favourite all time collection and one that i use on a frequent basis so it is nice to see you give it an outing on your blog again. I do like your orange blossom flower although i haven't got that nor the dandelion clocks yet they are on my wanted list. The ornate octegon striplets is another that is on my wanted list but the effect that you have coming through from the back to the front of the card is lovely so thank you Sue for bringing us another piece of inspiration from your wonderful mind.
Deedee enjoy your card flower when it arrives and i hope that it gives you so much inspiration for your own projects.
Well we have a dry day here at Glenochil but don't say it too loudly as i don't want that horrible rain to hear. Even my hills are feeling better this morning and cast off their blankets of snow to wake up to show off their beauty. Since O.H. is off i have no doubt he will be at me to do a million and one things this weekend so i will send hugs to all the Wilsonettes that could really do with them, the ones that just need a pick me up and the others that just could do with one,
love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil VIllage)

Loved what you did with the midnight snow on the edges. The colors you used gave me some ideas...our pro NFL team's colors are teal and black with gold...I think our daughter and SIL, season ticket holders, bleed teal....LOL

Once again, your coordination of old and new die sets is very thoughtful. Very considerate of the customer...dies are an investment and it's a shame to not use them. Thanks for melding the old and new...

What was that jar you used with the smoothie to color the center of the flower?

Wheely, I hope you get to crafting soon and feel much better.
Had the last of my birthday presents today so that's the Octagon striplet ticked off my list :) Also got a Graphic 45 pad and a George R. R. Martin book. I will have to try and stay awake to read it. Had a visit from my niece and her 11 week old baby. It was so lovely to cuddle him but I am so weak he felt really heavy.
All the above is yesterday's forgotten post!
Love today's card too Sue and yes I have the background die :)
Hoping to do some crafting tomorrow, today I am visiting my Mum and going shopping. I was given some new storage and have now found I only have eight sets of Sue dies so I can buy some more and not feel guilty. I still have all my birthday money.
Decisions, decisions.
Wishing good things to all xxx

Evening Sue - or good morning I suppose
Congratulations Deedee - enjoy your work of art x
Oh a lovely bit of teal - gorgeous. At least I think it's teal - not watched the video yet. How right you are - we all tend to forget about what we already have. It's probably because I have such an obscene amount of stuff in my stash but I am sure I am not the only one x
So after being insanely early on Thursday with my comment I had a fairly fruitful day. Did a little housework and ironing. After commenting I settled myself down with a cuppa to watch your video Sue and pay careful attention to the new (to me) brayer technique. I had enough time to view the video a few times so I could master this complicated technique with 'Wilson like' expertise. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that such a stunning card could be produced with such a 'slapdash' use of the brayer. Of course you made it look incredibly elegant with the random and aimless banging of the tool on to the paper. I fully intended to duplicate this card but surprise surprise - my brayer is hiding!! Note to self - must finish my tidy and sort out which I started a while ago x
Sorry didn't comment yesterday - thought I had overdone it on Thursday as I felt dreadful yesterday morning when I managed to drag myself out of bed. I think I have picked up some sort of flu like bug though. Very hot then very cold and achy and tender - not the usual aches and pains. Felt a little more human today so fingers crossed it is just 24/48 hour thing x
MAUREEN - whereabouts in Newcastle do you live? My mum and dad are still there x
SANDRA - glad to see you commented yesterday and today - have missed you Hope you are ok. Lots of love x
DEB E - been meaning to ask you whereabouts do you live on the Isle of Wight? Love the Island - hoping to holiday there in March x
TRACY - so pleased you aren't feeling sick but sorry you aching. Gentle hugs x
WHEELY BAD - tell Mr W to be gentle with you - we don't want any more flats - sending hugs x
LINDA - I don't think your mojo is the only one to be missing - if all else fails - copy someone else. Obviously Sue being the first choice but have you tried pinterest?
MARIA - hope you are having a lovely weekend - hugs x
LORRAINE - Brain fog and Brain strain - know exactly what you mean - so frustrating. Sounds like you are feeling a bit brighter today. Big huggles x
LAINE - where are you hun? That's 2 days you have been missing - hope you are ok. Love and hugs to you x
Time for bed I think
Take care everyone
