Bouncing Brayer

Hello my crafty friends!  It's time to pull out your brayer for today's video card technique!  You don't really have to be very proficient with a brayer either to do this, but it yields great results.

The finished dimensions are 8" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Lovely lovely card Sue. Full of sunshine on a very frosty day.
Laine, Robbie is my nephew in America, 18 months ago, he had a skateboard accident and broke his neck, he was 20 yrs old. The doctors said if he survived he would be quadraplegic and possible brain damage. Thankfully due to his and his mum and dads determination, no brain damage and he is able to walk a little with crutches or walking sticks. He still has internal damage which has not yet healed, some loss of use in one hand but he aschieved what we think is a miracle with his recovery. Thank you everyone for your kind messages and support.
Hugs to all on the blog, a wonderful community. Big hugs for Melody, Francis and family and Tracy, one very special lady.

Hello Sue and all
Lovely bright and sunny card today, just like the hot day we have had here, it is 5.30 pm and still 32 deg C, I know we are so lucky and I feel quite guilty knowing how cold it is there. This card really shows off the fabulous frame dies to perfection.
Yvonne - thank you, my desk is fabulous, I am sure I will be more productive, it has made me sort out lots of things (including those I had forgotten I had !) so am feeling quite organised at the moment.
Have a lovely day,

Hi Sue,
What a lovely sunny, happy card - if that makes sense! I've never seen that technique before with a brayer, but it is certainly effective. Really like the thank you die too,
Tracy hope you're ok xx
Had a lovely wander around Amble yesterday. For those of you that don't know where it is its in Northumberland on the coast not far from Alnwick. It's where I had my nasty fall just over a year ago if you remember. Despite that it's really nice and yesterday t was so quiet even the birds had gone( much to Dave's disgust!)
Hope everyone has a good day, love and hugs to all especially Melody, Francis and Tracy and all those in need of comfort and support. Love Alison xxx

GM Sue. This looks like fun! Might have a go later. I love how you've used the rectangles. I decided to mark mine with permanent marker on the back of each die with A and B so I don't get muddled up. Yday I managed one card with another 2 in progress. Don't know what's come over me. Bet it won't last though whatever it is!

Morning Sue
Hope you are impressed. It is before 9am and here I am bright and early commenting.
This card is such a bright and cheery card and I love it. As I am so ahead of myself I am going to watch the video shortly. I have a brayer but it is still in it's original packaging so you will probably inspire me to go for it.
Noticed that you have put dates up on the blog but shocked as it says you will not be gracing our screens until April - is this a trick? Thought and hoped it would be sooner x
TRACY - so good that you are not suffering with nausea. Hang in there gorgeous girl x
P IN WALES - Happy Anniversary - how many years?
THERESA - good for your daughter. I made my 30th Birthday celebrations last for a week. Managed to eek my 40th celebrations to almost a month. 50th in a few years time - partying all year I think!!Sounds like you had a fab time x
CLAIRE - you are so on a roll - putting us all to shame x
LAINE - so proud of you resisting the Yankee Candles although I would have sacrificed the frying pan and egg poacher for a large jar. Like you I am partial to a rubber glove or 2 but we won't go there - lol. Nothing to hide although when you view the old school pictures with dodgy haircuts and questionable outfits you may be of the opinion that I should have hidden the evidence x
MARIA - how is Sandra - haven't 'seen her' for a while x
MURIEL - I am sharing in your delight. It's a bit like Christmas when you discover those 'bits' you had forgotten all about x
ALIMECCA - I love Amble and Alnwick oh and Seahouses. Born and grew up in Newcastle. Do you watch Vera? All filmed in spectacular Northumberland x
MAGGIE - well done on finishing the invites x
Time for porridge I think. Then a cuppa and Sue's video. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Sue and the wonderful Wilsonettes,
Thank you Sue for a different kind of a card today, i only need to get everything you used to be able to do it oh and some practise on using a brayer, but as i have never had one could be the reason i would be useless at it, :) The colours are so bright that it reminds me of the way that the sun comes down in Majorca and anywhere that has heat wave conditions which does not apply even a tiny bit to Scotland but when you try and look up the rays sort of split up like your design. Thank you Sue for showing us the tricks on how to achieve it.
Well i am going to try and make a card today as Rory is away to college until 1:15 and i have peace perfect peace until i pick him up.Sending hugs to all my Wilsonette friends that really could do with them along with the thoughts and prayers as well,
love and crafty hugs

Well At Present I'm Trying To Put Together A Wedding Card The Use Of Dies
Isn't The Problem!!! It's The Sentiment As I Wish To Heat Emboss Phill Used A Very Delicate Soft Blue On Hochanda It Looked Truly Awesome, I Just Can't Find The Correct Stamp, One With The Correct Text I'm Looking For, I Don't Want To Print One From
My Computer I Wish To Stamp One For The Front And The Inside, I'm Not Putting There Names On
So If Anyone Knows Of Any Great Wedding Day Stamps Would You Put The Name Where I Can Get On Sue's

Can't Find Any!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Sue, sorry I didn't get to comment yesterday but I really loved everything about the card. I will just ignore the bright yellow today and applaud the design :)
Pam, I am so happy to hear how well Rob is doing after such an awful accident.
Well the last two days have not been good ones for me. Nothing awful has happened but they have been a real strain on my brain and it has not stood up to the job. The final straw was forgetting to take a form to an appointment to fill it in! I know the "fog" is part of fibromyalgia but this is really scaring me now. My head literally hurts when I have to try and remember or work things out. I have made an appointment with my GP and I just hope she doesn't try to fob me off with it just being fog.
I had two days of having to be out of the house early for me which upset my system too so took my time about getting moving today but now need to catch up on housework.
Sorry I will stop moaning now.
Wishing good things to all xxx

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a fabulous burst of summer sunshine to cheer up a totally damp and dreary day in Stirling...when will it end!....I am so appreciative of this colour palette just now, it's so cheerful and really boosts my mood. I have never owned a Brayer or even used one to my knowledge, so this is a brand new technique for me- always keen to learn new skills and the effects on this card are awesome! I love the essential squares and rectangles, I don't have all of the collection..yet!..but they are a definite priority because the results are so crisp and professional looking.
No crafting time for me today, a huge ironing beckoned and guilt would have overwhelmed me if I tried to ignore it:-( Nevermind, I have a caci facial and a wash and blow dry to look forward to tomorrow- the only challenge being that it's early an early morning appointment and I am notoriously bad at getting up before 9am...I blame Darcey and her persistent scratching during the night:-)
Pam, wow, I had no idea that Robbie had been so badly injured. What a remarkable young man, he has achieved so much in such a short space of time and against the odds, it brought a tear to my eye because I felt your pride and admiration for him. What a courageous lad, I have no doubts that he will be successful in all that he endeavours , he has the drive and determination required in spadesxxx
P, happy anniversary, I hope your hubby treated you like a princess after so many years of loyal service, maybe a few of Sues dies would be appropriate?
Yvonne, you put me to shame commenting at such an ungodly hour! Like you, I am shocked and disappointed to learn that Sues next shows are scheduled for April...where did the rumour start that it was February? Seriously, I don't think I'll last that long, we really need to form a support group to get us through the next few months otherwise how will we all cope?:-(
I too have a few early photos that should never have seen the light of day- the seventies and eighties were decades that style clearly forgot and whilst I didn't sport a mullet or spiral perm my mum did inflict a rather hideous bowl cut on me at a very impressionable age...tantamount to child abuse, I know! Tartan flares and ra ra skirts with leg warmers added insult to injury, I have been scarred for life by the experience. So go on, have a giggle at my expense and I will return the favour in kind honey:-)
Lorraine, sorry to hear that you've had a tough few days, maybe you could get the chance to have a lazy pj day, they always do the trick for me. I always struggle more at this time of year, I wonder if the weather and darker days has a lot to do with my ability to cope with the restrictions of my body though, I always seem to cope better in the summer both physically and mentally. I feel your frustration with your memory, after my head injury it took me years to come to terms with the effects on my cognitive functioning and even now it frustrates me. Tiredness can be a big factor so plenty of rest and sleep may help a bit but if you're on strong meds it can be an uphill battle. I hope you pick up soonxxx
Cuddles to Tracy, Beth, Theresa, Maria, Saba, Rebecca, jan, Linda, melody and Wheely bad, hope you are all wellxxxx
Hugs to all Wilsonettes who need themxxxx
