Best Of Luck

Good Sunday morning all!  I selected a piece of silver card and embossed it with the Linen Texture embossing folder as my background.  I cut four of the Elegant Laced Edger corners in white and glued them into place in each corner.  Next I stamped the Deco Sweethearts stamp that matches the Sintra die.  I stamped it on blush card and heat embossed it in silver shine detail powder and cut it out with the matching Sintra  die, using the inside cut die to create a frame.  I added mounting foam to the back and cut two of the Petite Arched Adornments to add to the top and bottom of the frame.  I wove flesh seam binding through the bottom part of the adornments by nipping into the die cut making a slit.  I tucked the ends around the back as I attached the frame to the centre of the card.  I cut a Portuguese tag in white and seated my stamped sentiment in an oval die cut in the centre.  I added white flatback pearls as accents then completed the card with my usual mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  7 1/2" in size.

The winners of this week's Comment Game are:

Cheryl Brown!!!
Loraine Jefferis!!!
Crossstitchmarg!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now, Sue x

Good afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes,
Jury is out on this one Sue and will go back and forward until my little brain can actually take it in flower, sorry. I think it might be the colour scheme but i will work it out in my head as i do really like when you do something different which for me this one comes into that category.
To Cheryl and the other ladies that won this week my warmest congratulations and i wish you all the happiness in using your prize when it arrives. I love to see the various names winning as it gives such a boost and normally when you are in need of that boost the most, so enjoy ladies.
Well today might me a dank driech day up here in the Costa de Glenochil but it is fine and not too cold so a wee bit drizzle didn't do anyone any harm and we are lucky being up on the hill, although Alva folks might still think after nearly 60 years that our houses are an eyesore at least we don't have the awful worry that they have of their homes being destroyed poor folk.
Well i'm away to clean out my bedroom now that CHristmas is all past as it is the only place that i can store gifts but i still have a lot there that needs to be either given to a charity or to the womens refuge. I am so fortunate but some things i just can't put on my skin as it is quite reactive and i would rather see someone else getting the pleasure of what i can't. Mum always brought us up to be thankful for what we received and we always were as we would never dream of upsetting someone over a gift that they had bought us but we couldn't use. Whatever we couldn't use always went to someone else that could and there we shared the joy of the gift just the same. I notice with Campbells neices over the early years that i was married and stupid enough to give them gifts that they couldn't even keep their voices down when complaining about it to their mums. After the first 4 or 5 years of this i stopped as we didn't really have the mum to waste when it wasn't good enough for them. Their children were brought up with the best of everything and well mine didn't have that luxury and keeping up with the Joneses was not an option and i wasn't even going to try so i just stopped. My two are still left behind in a lot of "i wants" as they have found out over the years that i want doesn't get, but they just wouldn't dream of doing it now which i think is why my two have an appreciation at how much things cost and just how you have to save to get the things that you really want, no bad thing i think. Anyway i will go and leave you all now with a wishing you a good day where ever you are and sending gentle hugs to all my lovely friends that really could do with them,
love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil Village)

Good afternoon.
Really not sure on today's card Sue, I think it might be the colours but I am not complaining as it's another twist on the dies so all is good.
Please let us know your card total for last year.
Loved the shows on Hochanda and it worked much better getting the presenters to turn the cogs :)
Congratulations to the comment winners, you will enjoy your prizes.
I don't know how I didn't comment yesterday, I was busy organising blogs just so I wouldn't miss. Fibro fog gets the blame for that one!
Laine, I hope you are feeling much better today. Although I felt rather miffed at not being able to drink I know it has given me more time and energy so it's not all bad.
Today I have been organising my recordings. I have made notes on what dies are used in each show and which ones I have. Not many at the moment but I will add as I go along depending on how often I like the samples made with them.
I have spent most of my Christmas money and didn't get one Sue die :( But I have ordered sticky sheets, texture paste, smoothies, tool n one and glue. Will add the remaining money to whatever I get next week so will get at least one die that way. They don't all cost loads especially if you have time to look around.
I will be quiet now, wishing good things to all xxx

Evening Sue
I have been reading the comments regarding the colour of this card and I have a feeling that it is not coming across in all it's true glory on screen. Reading your description you say it is a silver and blush combination but I do not think it looks like that in the pictures. It is a gorgeous card and those colours are beautiful in the flesh.
I am much more upset that you have not revealed the magic number of your card total - please please please put me out of my misery x
Semi productive day today. Most of the Christmas clear up was achieved. Christmas tree still up completely stripped of all baubles and tinsel. Jake wants to have a bonfire in the garden and burn the tree. He has even bought marshmallows for toasting. He does like a fire and I am sure if he had enough time on his hands arson could be his hobby. Thank goodness he has a full time job x
The kitchen was for a small period of time clean and tidy but then Jake and George and their friends happened. I love their friends coming round and they are all lovely (to my face) but they do tend to make themselves at home (which I have encouraged) as it saves any effort on my part. This is all well and good and they do sort of clear up before they leave but a boy clear up is nothing like a mummy clear up is it? The boys have promised me faithfully that they will sort out the mess when they get in form work/college but I have a feeling that they are hoping that the magic kitchen cleaning fairies will do it before they have to live up to their side of the bargain - we'll see. Lol x
Well done worthy winners - enjoy your prizes. I do hope you managed to contain your excitement and act with dignity which I know is difficult when you see your name appear x
MARIA - hope you are feeling better. Love and hugs x
JAN - glad we are entertaining you but sadly I see my partner in crime is absent today - sending you hugs x
LORRAINE - brain fog is always getting the better of me - hey ho!! Huggles x
LAINE - where are you hun? Not hair of the dog I hope. Gentle hugs for you - don't want to be rough with you if you are still feeling fragile x
Bedtime now - I will wake to a quiet house, free of boy and full of peace and quiet - love them to bits but nice when they aren't here sometimes.
Nite nite everyone
